STANLEY
Lillian Agatha Stanley, 89, of Decatur, Ind., died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2003, at Woodcrest Nursing Center in Decatur.
She was born July 2, 1914, in Kirksville, Mo., the daughter of the late Jessie and Cora Ethel (Dabney) Collins. On February 18, 1933, she married Clyde W. Stanley, who preceded her in death on August 2, 1991.
Mrs. Stanley was a homemaker who had lived most of her life in Napa, Calif., moving to Decatur two years ago.
Survivors include a son, Jerry (Loretta) Stanley of Rockford; two sisters, Daisy Greene of Palm Springs, Calif., and Dorothy Elton of Napa; two grandsons, Timothy and Anthony Stanley, and a great-grandson, Shaun Stanley.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at Richard Pierce Funeral Home in Napa, Calif.
Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford assisted in funeral arrangements.
GRUBAUGH
Jerry B. Grubaugh, 61, of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, died Sunday, July 13, 2003, in that country.
He was born September 3, 1941, in Van Wert County, the son of Ray Grubaugh of Van Wert and the late Grace N. (Mohr) Grubaugh. He never married.
Mr. Grubaugh practiced law in Chicago, Ill., until 1986, when he moved to the Dominican Republic, where he owned and operated a small hotel in the colonial part of Santo Domingo. He later joined the law firm of Oficina Marranzini and also wrote articles for the Santo Domingo News. He had also represented the United States at the World Bank Conference when it was held in Santo Domingo. He was a graduate of Convoy-Union High School in 1959 and also graduated summa cum laude from Ohio State University in 1963, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He then graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1966.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a brother, Ric (Susie) Grubaugh of Columbus.
He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Clark T. and Effie (LeVeck) Grubaugh and Walter and Desi (DeLong) Mohr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. MaryAnn Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

FELGER
Ralph E. Felger, 68, of Van Wert, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2003, at his residence.
He was born December 28, 1934, in Van Wert, the son of Faye (Adams) Felger and the late Emmett Lee Felger. In June 25, 1965, he married Gloria I. Schoonover, who survives at home.
Mr. Felger retired from Kennedy Manufacturing after 30 years of employment. He was a U.S. Army veterans and an avid bowler who was a member of the Van Wert Bowling Hall of Fame.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by three daughters, Anita (Ronald) Richards of Venedocia and Jennifer (Jay) Yoh and Amy (Mike) Garrett, both of Van Wert; two sons, James Felger of Middle Point and Eric Felger of Anna; three brothers, Junior Felger, Roger Felger and Danny Felger, all of Van Wert; a sister, Helen Drocy of Swanton; two granddaughters, Stacie Rhodes and Shellie Rhodes of Venedocia, and a grandson, Justin Yoh of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Brent and Brian Felger; a sister, Mary Amweg and four brothers, Kenneth, Carroll, Milo and Richard Felger.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Neil Hammons officiating.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

McCOLLUM
Fred L. McCollum, 91, of Van Wert, died at 7:35 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
He was born May 1, 1912, in Van Wert, the son of the late Charles and Elsie (Wert) McCollum. On June 27, 1933, he married Lois Miller, his wife of 70 years, who survives in Van Wert.
Mr. McCollum retired after more than 40 years as a barber. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the 260th Infantry in Europe under General George Patton. He was a life member of both American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 in Van Wert.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Sharon (Joe) Bizzaro of Tallahassee, Fla.; two granddaughters, Valerie and Lora Kibler of Tallahassee; a grandson, Vance Kibler of Tampa Bay, Fla., and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Carl McCollum, and a sister, Norma Linser.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

DITTO
Pollie C. Ditto, 85, formerly of Big Clifty, Ky., and Van Wert, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, July 15, 2003, at Lincolnway Home in Ridge Township.
She was born April 10, 1918, in Whitesburg, Ky., the daughter of the late William Riley and Emmaline (Combs) Caudill. On May 6, 1944, she married Richard A. Ditto, who died July 27, 1983.
Mrs. Ditto retired from Eaton-Aeroquip Corp. in Van Wert. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, where she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Ray Ditto and Regina Kuhn, both of Fort Wayne, Ind., and a daughter-in-law, Darlene Ditto of Decatur, Ind.
She was preceded in death by a son, Clifford Ditto; three brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Raymond E. Feeck officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery near Middle Point.

KRUGH
Margaret A. Krugh, 83, of 302 Middle St., died at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born October 3, 1919, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Lewis McKinley and Christena Linora (Rauch) Bolton. On February 26, 1966, she married Brice T. Krugh, who survives.
Mrs. Krugh retired in 1985 from nursing at Van Wert County Hospital and also supervised nursing at a nursing home in St. Marys. She was a graduate of York High School and had nursing training in Chillicothe and New York City. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jim Kistler; one daughter Jane A. (David H.) Maxfield of Lancaster County, Pa.; one brother, Robert L. (Betty) Bolton of Venedocia; a sister, Ruth Bowsher of Spencerville; eight grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wayne Lewis Bolton, Edwin Richard Bolton and Paul Bolton, and a sister, Helen Virginia Bolton.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Raymond E. Feeck officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

SCHOONOVER
Shelva J. Schoonover, 66, of rural Haviland, died at 5:25 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2003, at her residence.
She was born December 12, 1936, in Delphos, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Marcile (Raymond) Brabant. On September 4, 1954, she married Frank R. Schoonover, who survives in Haviland.
Mrs. Schoonover worked at Delphos Equity many years ago and had also worked at Van Wert Manufacturing Company for several years. She attended Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert and had been very active over the years with the church youth group. She also volunteered at Paulding County Hospital in Paulding.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Pastor Michael (Wanda) Schoonover of Glendore, Calif.; three daughters, Melody (Frank) Thompson of Columbia City, Ind., Julie (Bruce) Diment of Convoy and Shawn (Michael) Fickert of Middle Point; a brother, Richard (Marilyn) Brabant of Delphos; two sisters, Betty (Franklin) Hawk of Defiance and Dorothy (Bud) Martin of Wapakoneta; 11 grandchildren; one stepgrandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Metcalf.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Blue Creek Cemetery in Haviland.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
