MOLLET
Dorothy M. Mollet, 97, of Payne, died at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2002, at her residence.
She was born June 13, 1905, in Woodburn, Ind., the daughter of the late William and Ada (Sausser) Litzenberg. She was not married.
Ms. Wollet retired from General Electric in Fort Wayne, Ind., in 1967. She was a member of Payne Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include three daughters, Shirley (Edward) Hudson of Hamilton, Ind., Elaine (Maurice) Wannemacher of Payne and Betty (Gerald) Lord of Gas City, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter, Sandy Panico.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Payne Church of the Nazarene, the Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery in Payne.
Calling hours are after 3 p.m. Saturday at Slade Funeral Home in Payne.

COOK
Carl E. Cook, 77, of rural Convoy, died at 8:15 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born October 1, 1925, in Greenville, Pa., the son of the late Lewis and Mae (Decker) Cook. He was formerly married to Colleen (Elston) Cook, who survives in Decatur, Ind.
Mr. Cook formerly worked worked in maintenance for 20 years at Van Wert County Hospital. He was also a lifetime farmer who retired in 1992, and was working as a security guard at the Robert T. Mone Power Plant near Convoy. He was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, where he earned five Battle Stars. He was a member of American Legion Post 178 in Van Wert.
Survivors include two sons, Darl Cook and Mark (Gwen) Cook, both of Convoy, and three grandsons, Joshua, Jacob and Jessica Cook, all of Convoy.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carlos and Harold Cook, and a sister, Mabel Stemen.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Gearhart, Mack & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy, the Rev. Greg Leigh officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

SMITH
Donald E. Smith, 77, of Convoy (and formerly of Van Wert), died at 7:05 a.m. Thursday, November 14, 2002, at Convoy Care Center.
He was born October 15, 1926, in Cleveland, the son of the late Elmer and Della Pauline (Abel) Smith. On October 18, 1946, in Bellefontaine, he married AnnaBell McNew, who survives.
Mr. Smith was employed as a cable splicer for the former United Telephone Company for 38 years. He was affiliated with Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and also served in the Korean Conflict. Following active duty, he was a member of the Ohio National Guard for many years. He was an active member of American Legion Post 178, the 40 et 8 of the Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803. He also umpired softball games for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Sheryl Height of Convoy; two sons, Jerry (Sandy) Smith and Neil Smith, both of Convoy; a brother, Alvin (Betty) Smith of Reynoldsburg; one sister, Marian Stanley of Bellefontaine, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Delores Focht and Jocele Tussing, and a son-in-law, Jack Height.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Brickner Funeral Home, the Rev. Neil Hammons officating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, with graveside military rites by the combined Honors Unit of American Legion Post 178 and VFW Post 5803.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

STOEPFEL
Clela D. Ketner Stoepfel, 91, of 408 Sunrise Court, died at 6:39 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2002, at Lincolnway Home near Middle Point.
She was born July 6, 1911, in Rockford, the daughter of the late Adam and Maude (Oliver) Alt. She first married Chet Ketner, who died in 1988. She later married Cletus F. Stoepfel, who survives at Lincolnway Home.
Mrs. Stoepfel had worked at Reynolds & Reynolds, A&P supermarket, Kroger supermarket and Charlie's Bakery, all in Celina. She attended the United Brethren in Christ Church in Rockford and was a former member of the Rebecca Lodge in Oakwood.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Viola (William) Hofacker of Scott; one stepson, Cletus D. (Ruth) Stoepfel of Celina; a stepdaughter, Shirley Jean (Ed) Kline of Deshler; one brother, Adrian (Norma) Alt of Richburg, S.C.; a sister, Gloria (Everet) Hanefield of Continental, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, John Alt, Orville Alt, Lorin Alt and Bevan Alt, and three sisters, Mabel Dickey, Ada Alt and Treva Yoh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Clark Williman of Calvary Evangelical Church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 Monday at the funeral home.

WISENER
Dale E. Wisener, 70, formerly of Van Wert, died Saturday, November 23, 2002, at the Terrace Health Care Center in Lantana, Fla.
He was born in October 1932 in Van Wert, the son of the late Lester L. and Cleo (Finkhousen) Wisener. He married Doris Brooks, who died in January 2001.
Mr. Wisener retired from Pratt-Whitney Aircraft Corp. after 28 years of service. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include two brothers, Lester (Pat) Wisener and John (Helen) Wisener, both of Van Wert, and two sisters, Delores (Marvin) Laukhuf of Haviland and Rebecca (Chet) Hamrick of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by a brother, W.E. Wisener.
Private family services will be held on Wednesday, November 27. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Van Wert County.
There will be no calling hours.

GEHRES
Barbara J. Gehres, 67, of rural Ohio City, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at her residence in Willshire Township following an extended illness.
She was born January 20, 1935, in Harrison Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late John M. and Ada M. (Finkhousen) Weaver. On June 25, 1978, she married Gary "Mac" Gehres, who survives.
Mrs. Gehres had worked for Lincoln Life Insurance in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Central Insurance Company in Van Wert and retired from Crestview Local Schools after 25 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township and its Women's Guild. She was a 1953 graduate of Wren High School.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kevin M. (Sharon) Gehres of Ohio City; two daughters, Kimberly (Bill) Clifton of Van Wert and Kelly (Scott) Rostorfer of Venedocia; three brothers, Donald (Marvene) Weaver and Paul R. (Theresa) Weaver, both of Convoy, and Bill (Marlene) Weaver of Ohio City; four sisters, Phyllis (Gerald) Ulman, Mary Etta (Arthur) Heller and Norma Feasel, all of Decatur, Ind., and Cleva Myers of Convoy; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Sara, Alisha, Abbigail, Allyson, Alex and Corey, and a great-grandson, Adrine.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John R. Weaver, Glen Weaver and Tom Weaver, and three sisters, Arlene Zinn, Helen Schindler and Alma Weaver.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Harrison Township, the Rev. Jerry Flueckiger officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery in Harrison Township.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert and an hour prior to services at the church.

LINDSAY
Mary Alice Lindsay, 95, of Tampa, Fla., and formerly of Van Wert, died at 11 p.m. Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at Canterbury Tower Center in Tampa.
She was born June 5, 1907, in Princeton, Ind., the daughter of the late John W. and Lucy Gaddis. She married Kenneth Lindsay, who died January 21, 1967.
Mrs. Lindsay was a homemaker.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Woodland Cemetery.
