HARTMAN
Alberta L. Hartman, 67, of Van Wert, died at 8:10 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Van Wert Manor nursing home.
She was born October 21, 1935, in Mendon, the daughter of the late Dwight and Mae (Sill) Drake. On January 28, 1951, she married Charles J. Hartman, who died in 1987.
Mrs. Hartman had worked at the Dana-Weatherhead plant in Antwerp for 17 years and then at Teleflex Corp. in Van Wert for about 12 years.
Survivors include three sons, Randy (Brenda) Hartman and Kip (Marci) Hartman, both of Van Wert, and Mike (Juanita) Hartman of Spencerville; two daughters, Shelia (John) Winters of Ohio City, and Kathy (Eugene) Eash of Van Wert; two sisters, Elaine (Fred) Walser and Judy McElroy, both of Van Wert; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hartman, and one brother, Dean Drake.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Scott Fleming officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Mrs. Hartman to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
DUNCAN
Donna C. Duncan, 87, formerly of Van Wert and now of St. Marys, died at 12:55 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2003, at Valley Nursing Home in St. Marys.
She was born March 18, 1916, in Scott, the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Schmidt ) Miller. On May 11, 1941 , in Findlay, she married Doyle F. Duncan, who died July 2, 1999.
Mrs. Duncan had formerly worked part-time for Dr. Hyre and Dr. Gates, optometrists, and part-time as church secretary. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Van Wert, and belonged to the Van Wert YWCA and the church's Women's Circle.
Survivors include two sons, Roger (Charlotte) Duncan of St. Marys and Dr. Phillip (Mary) Duncan of Kennett Square, Pa.; a brother, T. Paul (Betty) Miller of Van Wert; one sister, Ruby Roth of St. Paul, Minn., and four grandchildren, Timothy, Christopher, Andrew and Carrie Duncan.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald R. Miller and an infant brother, and four sisters, Marian Weber, Allegra Miller, Edith Brown and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, the Rev. Joseph Wilck officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery of Van Wert.
Calling hours are 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

BOARDWINE
Rita L. Boardwine, 48, of 329 N. Chestnut St., died at 7:45 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at her residence.
She was born August 15, 1954, the daughter of the late Samuel and Geneva (Thomas) White. On April 22, 1989, she married John A. Boardwine, who surives.
Mrs. Boardwine was a homemaker.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Thomas S. (Rhonda L.) White of Van Wert and Aaron R. (Rebecca M.) White of Lima; two brothers, Henry White of War, W.Va., and Dale White of Berwind, W.Va.; three sisters, Marsha (Danny) Muncy of Berwind and Phyllis (Bob) Thatcher and Patsy (Denny) Hockett, both of Rockford, and three grandchildren, Jordan, Tyler and Tori.
Private family funeral services will be conducted, with arrangements made by Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert.
There will be no visitation.

ETZKORN
Esther A. Etzkorn, 93, of Landeck, died at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Calvary Manor.
She was born November 11, 1909, in Landeck, the daughter of the late Charles and Veronica (Peters) Kill. She married Clarence Etzkorn, who died December 17, 1975.
Mrs. Etzkorn was a homemaker and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck. She enjoyed playing cards and working in her flower garden.
Survivors include a son, Robert (Janice) Etzkorn of Delphos; two daughters, Dolores (Harold) Pohlman and Angela Rose Vulgamott, both of Delphos; a sister, Augusta Shepler of Mount Cory; 12 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Etzkorn; one brother, Victor Kill of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren, Daniel, Donald and Harold Pohlman Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Adam and Amber Wrasman, and a son-in-law, Paul Vulgamott.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, with Father John Fleck officiating.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:45 p.m. that day.

MILLER
Kenneth G. Miller, 49, of Delphos, died early Tuesday afternoon, May 20, 2003, at his residence.
He was born August 8, 1953, in Lima, the son of Rita (McRedmond) Miller, who survives in Delphos, and the late James Miller. On August 20, 1971, he married Elaine Gasser, who survives in Delphos.
Mr. Miller retired from Elida Machine and Tool and worked as a policeman in Delphos for three years. He was a 1971 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and graduated from the police academy in 1975. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, Eagles Aerie 471 and the Delphos Chamber of Commerce, where he served on the board. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kathleen (Keith) Schimmoeller of Delphos; one brother, Dennis (Karen) Miller of Florida; a sister, Barbra (Dan) Osting of Delphos, and one grandchild.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m. that day.

PERRIN
Joseph Perrin, 77, of Delphos, died at 1:05 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born May 30, 1925, in Putnam County, the son of the late William and Helena (Weber) Perrin. On July 15, 1950, he married Ethel Kennedy, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Perrin was retired from Westinghouse Corp. He has served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Antietam and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3740 in Ottoville and American Legion Post 715 and Eagles Aerie 471 in Delphos. He also belonged to the Military Order of Cootie and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos. He loved to play cards, especially euchre, at the VFW and Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Sue) Perrin of Lima and Mike Perrin of Harrod; one daughter, Becky Perrin of Delphos; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, John Perrin, and one sister, Mary Fleming.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Ottoville.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a VFW service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday and a parish wake service at 7:45 that same evening.

MYERS
Audrie Leona (Book) High White Myers, 98, formerly of Willshire, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2003, at Laurel's of Shane Hill in Rockford.
She was born January 20, 1905, in Mercer County, the daughter of the late James F. and Mary (Felver) Book. She first married Doyt High, who died in 1925. She then married Hershel Ernest White, who died June 9, 1959, and she then married John Myers, who died in 1997.
Mrs. Myers was a homemaker and a member of the former Albion United Brethren Church and attended Willshire United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry (Wilma) White of Van Wert and Dennis White of Kendallville, Ind.; a stepson, Tony Myers of York, Pa.; one sister, Dolores Reichard of Rockford; 12 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Colin Blaine High; a stepdaughter, Jackie (Myers) Thompson, and two sisters, Lois Merriman and Ola Leah Book.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 3-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
