SCHNEPP
Sandra C. Schnepp, 64, of 303 N. Race St., died at 7:10 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born September 22, 1939, in Monroeville, Ind., the daughter of Mary Helen (Shobe) Sites, who survives in Van Wert, and the late Kenneth Ivan Sites.
Other survivors include three sons, William W. (Mary) Schnepp Jr., Kenneth (Linda) Schnepp and David (Theresa) Schnepp, all of Van Wert; a daughter, Melanie Spurr of Van Wert; one brother, Harold (Karen) Sites of Van Wert; nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth R. Sites, Jack W. Sites and John D. Sites.
A memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Neil Hammons officiating.
Calling hours are 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

LINDZAY
Catherine Lindzay, 90, of Scott, died at 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born October 1, 1913, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late W.F. and Mary Catherine (King) Lindzay. She never married.
Miss Lindzay was a former production employee of Continental Can Company in Van Wert. She attended Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert and a former member of Blue Creek Community Club.
She was preceded in death by a brother and one sister.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 23, at Woodland Cemetery, the Rev. Raymond Feeck officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

KNODERER
Melvin Roy Knoderer, 78, of Clyde, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born March 16, 1926, in Toledo, the son of the late Beryl W. and Dorothy (Phillips) Knoderer. On May 2, 1953, he married Doreen Felser, who survives at home.
Mr. Knoderer taught in the Toledo Public Schools until 1965, when he became a principal in the Willard City School District. He was with the Bellevue City Schools and then the Clyde-Green Spring School District until he retired in 1982 as principal of Vine Street Elementary School. He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from the University of Toledo. He was a member of Masonic Monticello Lodge 244, Royal Arch Masonic Lodge 90 in Clyde, Council, Commandery 056, Knights Templar, and Clyde Chapter 73, Order of Eastern Star. He was a certified lay minister of the North West Ohio Association of the United Church of Christ and served as minister of Steuben Congregational United Church of Christ in Steuben for 32 years, from 1971-2003, when he retired due to ill health.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, the Rev. Brian A. (Ann) Knoderer of Gomer; one daughter, Michele Ann (Christopher) Wood of Clyde, and three granddaughters, Katie Knoderer, Emily Wood and Laura Knoderer.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Knoderer and Donna Ruth Miller, and a brother, Donald Knoderer.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the Steuben Congregational Church of Christ, with the Rev. Brian A. Knoderer officiating.

MIRACLE
Rebecca L. Miracle, 62, of 10152 Van Wert-Decatur Road, Van Wert, died at 6:03 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born April 23, 1941, in Paulding, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Iva Mae (Taylor) Hofacker. On January 9, 1962, she married Jerry Miracle, who survives.
Mrs. Miracle was a homemaker and member of Jennings Road Church of Christ in Van Wert.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Jay A. Miracle of Van Wert; one daughter, Joyce A. Pike of Elizabethtown, Ky.; six brothers, Charles J. (Betty) Hofacker of Paulding, Luther T. (Deloris) Hofacker of Florida (Ohio), Royal J. (Janet) Hofacker of Defiance, Gerald E. (Sharri) Hofacker of Bluffton, William H. (Viola) Hofacker of Scott and Ray A. (Nancy) Hofacker of Van Wert; three sisters, Helen M. (Edward) Yeutter of Defiance, Betty J. (Bill) Bumbalough of Orlando, Fla., and Ilo B. (Lloyd) Marvin of Van Wert, and three grandchildren, Brittany, Heather and Jamin Pike.
She was preceded in death by two children, Michael D. and Misty D. Miracle, and a sister, Tabitha E. Burt.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 24, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Dave Ray and Rev. Samuel Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery in Paulding County.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the funeral home.

MATTHEWS
Edna E. Matthews, 85, formerly of Convoy, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1918, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Henry W. and Carrie (Laundsberry) Gribler. On January 1, 1940, she married Russell H. Matthews, who died August 16, 1974.
Mrs. Matthews retired from Federal-Mogul Corp.'s Van Wert plant in 1981 after 24½ years of service. She was a member of Sugar Ridge Church of God in Convoy.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet L. Mitchell of Van Wert and Joyce A. (Jerry) Thatcher of Convoy; a twin sister, Eva Butler of Delphos; a sister-in-law, Betty Owens of Van Wert; four grandchildren, Steven W. (Vickie) Thatcher, Troy R. (Brenda) Mitchell, Michele (Tim) Miller and Jeff (Leslie) Mitchell; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; a stepgreat-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Glenn Gribler, and three sisters, Pearl Robey, Opal Gribler and Goldie Gribler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Steve Waterman officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 23, at the funeral home.

MOENTER
Malinda Moenter, 81, of Delphos, died at 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born January 10, 1923, in Paulding County, the daughter of the late Florian and Regina (Koetter) Schmersal. On November 28, 1946, she married Richard Moenter, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Moenter was a secretary for City Feed Store for 34 years. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos and was a volunteer at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima and for hospice. She really enjoyed helping the sick, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and being with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Daniel (Nancy) Moenter of Atlanta, Ga., and Robert (Debra) Moenter of Delphos, and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, LeRoy Schmersal.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 24, at St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be held at the later date.
Calling hours are 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Harter & Son Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Teachers Endowment Fund or a charity of donor's choice.
MYERS
Vernon L. Myers, 88, of 602 S. Franklin St., Van Wert, died at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Van Wert Manor nursing home in Van Wert.
He was born September 26, 1915, in Ohio City, the son of the late Vernon Raymond and Ethel M. (Stemen) Myers. On November 30, 1936, in Berne, Ind., he married Lois Louise Short, who also preceded him in death.
Mr. Myers retired after 37 years as a truck driver. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Van Wert, the Teamsters Union local in Fort Wayne, Ind., Van Wert Moose lodge and Fish & Game lodge in Angola, Ind.
Survivors include two sons, David L. (Janet) Myers of Van Wert and Stephen E. (Donna) Myers of Convoy; two daughters, Kathleen M. (Ron) Goudy and Beverly A. (Rich) Dabb, both of Richardson, Texas; two brothers, Roux (Janiece) Myers of Fostoria and Donald Myers of St. Marys;, five grandchildren, Teresa Kerns, Scott Myers, Todd Kerns, Terry Myers and Wesley Myers; six great-grandchildren, and a longtime friend, Darlene Bivins of Van Wert.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Dwight, Andrew and Orville Myers, and a sister, Grace McMichael.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Alva B. Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with military graveside rites performed by the combined honor guards of American Legion Post 178 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803, both of Van Wert.
