ADAM
Mary E. Adam, 86, of Delphos, died at 12:20 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born February 26, 1918, in Peoria, Ind., the daughter of the late Loyal and Mabel (Becker) Grandstaff. On April 20, 1938, she married Harold Adam, who survives in Delphos.
Mrs. Adam retired as a secretary in the United Methodist Church District Office and then worked as a seamstress at Shenk's. She was a member of First Christian Union Church in Delphos and of the local Order of Eastern Star chapter. She loved to sew, quilt and crochet and loved spending winters in Florida for the last 19 years. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to travel.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Grace (Charles) Wells and Carol (Robert) Baumgartner, both of Delphos, and Sandra (Edward) Waldron of Albany (Ohio); a brother, Albert (Ruth) Grandstaff of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Merlin Adam, and one sister, Ellen Alspach.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 29, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, the Rev. Joseph Redmond officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be held that evening.

POHLMAN
Richard "Dick" Pohlman, 76, of Lima, died at 9:07 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 19, 1928, in Lima, the son of the late Oscar and Amilda (Lindeman) Pohlman. On October 6, 1956, he married Sara Simindinger, who died August 28, 2001.
Mr. Pohlman retired from Sprint Telephone in the warehouse and also was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 in Lima, the Lima Eagles and Knights of Columbus. He was a Los Angeles Lakers and Cincinnati Reds fan and loved bingo and playing cards. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include a sister, Jeanette (Henry) Schweller of Ottoville.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gordon "Gordie" Pohlman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 30, at St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Delphos, with graveside military rites performed by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Calling hours are 2-9 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel in Delphos, where a parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. and VFW service at 7 p.m. that day.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Herno Dialysis Unit at Lima Memorial Hospital.
McCLAIN
Nadina M. McClain, 77, of Payne, died at 6:40 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, at Dallas Lamb Foundation Home in Payne.
She was born July 2, 1926, in Payne, the daughter of the late William and Ethel (Harp) Burk. She married Nelson "Slim" McClain, who died in 2000.
Mrs. McClain was a homemaker and a member of Payne Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include a son, Michael McClain of Paulding; one brother, Harold Burk of Leipsic, and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Ann.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at Payne Church of the Nazarene, with the Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Burial will be in Lehman Cemetery in Payne.
Calling hours are after 4 p.m. at Slade Funeral Home in Payne.

RICKER
Timothy Scott Ricker, 43, of Clermont, Fla., and formerly of Ottoville, died at 7 a.m. Monday, April 26, 2004, in an automobile accident.
He was born October 22, 1960, in Lima, the son of Janet Brown, who survives in Ottoville, and the late Edwin Ricker.
Mr. Ricker did masonry work and enjoyed fishing and motorcycles.
Survivors include a stepfather, Richard Brown of Ottoville; one son, Kyle Ricker; a daughter, Casey Christleib of Continental; two brothers, Mike (Brenda) Ricker of Delphos and Mark (Beck) Ricker of Ottoville; eight sisters, Julie (Keith) Klemen, Elaine (Chuck) Metcalfe and Amy (David) Zalar, all of Delphos, Kathy (Wayne) Risner and Deanna Jewell, both of Grover Hill, Laure (Butch) Johnson of Chippewa Falls, Wis., and Margaret (Mike) Pavel and Malinda Ricker, both of Van Wert; two grandchildren, and his godparents, Beth Gener and Gordan Brendle, both of Delphos.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, David K. and Bernard Ricker.
There will be no funeral services.

KOENIG
Everett J. Koenig, 88, formerly of Venedocia and a resident of Otterbein of St. Marys, died at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born November 15, 1915, in Sidney, the son of the late Emil and Bertha (Sunderman) Koenig. On August 10, 1939, he married Dorothy Dickman, who survives at Otterbein of St. Marys.
Mr. Koenig taught vocational agriculture in Van Wert County for a number of years. He also owned Koenig's Home Hardware in Venedocia and founded Flat Lands Supply in Venedocia, now located in Van Wert. He was a 1933 graduate of New Bremen High School and a 1938 graduate of The Ohio State University. He was a member of Salem Presbyterian Church in Venedocia and the Venedocia Lions Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jerry (Laura) Koenig of Venedocia; three daughters, Beverly Koenig of Napoleon, Deanna (A. Paul) Hoadley of Charlevoix, Mich., and Karen (John) Koenig-Herman of Tipp City; two brothers, Paul (Janet) Koenig and Daryl (Louise) Koenig, both of New Bremen; a sister, Joanne (Myron) Katterheinrich of New Knoxville, and two grandchildren, Daniel (Vanessa) Hoadley of Big Sky, Mont., and Lisa Hoadley (fiancé Mike Watson) of Denver, Colo.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Koenig.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, April 30, at German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. A service of remembrance will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, at Salem Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Wendy Pratt officiating.
Calling hours are 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and an hour prior to the memorial service at the church on Saturday.

KUNDERT
Geraldine S. "Jerry" Kundert, 84, of Weaverville, N.C., and formerly of Van Wert, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004.
She was born June 28, 1919, in Saline, Mich., the daughter of the late Samuel and Martha (Dunlap) Schindler. She married Carlyle Kundert, who died in 1983.
Mrs. Kundert had lived in Columbus Grove until her marriage in 1941 and then moved to Van Wert. She moved to Weaverville in April 2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Jane (Harlon) Boone of Weaverville; four grandchildren, Frederick Eugene Sargent Jr. and Kelly Paul Sargent, both of Bradenton, Fla., Johnnie Carlyle Flinchum of Hendersonville, N.C., and Adam Jay Flinchum of Ocean Springs, Mass., and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, in the chapel of Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert. Burial will be in Truro Cemetery, Columbus Grove.
Calling hours are 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
SLUSSER
Dorothy Mae Slusser, 90, of Greenville, formerly of Chattanooga in Mercer County, died at 10:15 a.m. April 27, 2004, at Heartland of Greenville Nursing Home in Greenville.
She was born April 18, 1914, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Evan W. and Cora B. Braley Davies. On September 4, 1935, she married Leo H. Slusser, who died in 1982.
Mrs. Slusser was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., St. Marys, and was a member of the Chattanooga United Methodist Church and the church's women's association.
Survivors include a daughter, Frances Kay (Jim) Robbins of Arcanum; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Wallace Davies, and a sister, Thurma Kennedy.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, the Rev. John Wiltshine officiating. Burial will be in Venedocia Cemetery, Venedocia.
