TUTTLE
Patricia A. Tuttle, 62, of 6508 W. Ridge Road, Convoy, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She was born June 8, 1941, in Lima, the daughter of the late Raymond John and Pauline Audrey (Swaney) McPheron. On May 13, 1962, she married Robert E. Tuttle, who survives at home.
Mrs. Tuttle was employed by Sonoco in Van Wert for more than 20 years. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church in Van Wert, its Builders Sunday School class and church quilting group. She was a 1959 graduate of Lima Senior High School, attended Ivy Tech and received her bachelor's degree from St. Francis College in Fort Wayne.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, Scot (Brenda) Tuttle and Mark (Mary) Tuttle, both of New Haven, Ind., David (Beverly) Tuttle of Bluffton and Craig (Kerry) Tuttle of Van Wert; a brother, Wesley D. McPheron of Wapakoneta, and 11 grandchildren, Spencer, Abby, Chase, Paige, Meagan, Lorna, Kyle, Lane, Erhan, Jordan and Nick (April) Tuttle.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Curtis Allen Tuttle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, May 3, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are 2-7 p.m. Sunday, May 2, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

GRUBAUGH
Ray Grubaugh, 91, of Van Wert, died at 2:55 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
He was born April 14, 1913, in Van Wert County, the son of the late Clark and Effie (LeVeck) Grubaugh. In 1938, he married Grace M. Mohr, who died October 5, 1987.
Mr. Grubaugh was a lifelong farmer in the Union Township area. He was a member of North Union United Methodist Church in Van Wert for more than 70 years. He served as a Union Township trustee for 12 years and also served on numerous election boards.
Survivors include a son, Ric R. (Susie) Grubaugh of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Eleanor Hough; a godchild, Amanda Schmidt; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Grubaugh, and three brothers, Earl, Carlos and Lloyd Grubaugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor MaryAnn Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery.
Calling hours are 4-8 p.m. Saturday, May 1, at the funeral home.

JONES
Margaret H. Jones, 82, of Venedocia, died at 10:50 p.m. Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.
She was born February 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Edmund J. and Flora (King) Hoffman. On October 11, 1952, she married David W. Jones, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jones was a secretary at Jonesco Elevator and retired after 30 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelistic Catholic Church in Delphos and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Terri) Jones of Venedocia; three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Rosemary Hoffman.
Private graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 3, in St. John's Cemetery, with Father Thomas Gorman officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos St. John's School or the Venedocia branch of Brumback Library.

PAIGE
Lea Lois Paige, 84, of Celina, died at 7:18 a.m. Saturday, April 3, 2004, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born August 4, 1919, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Charles Lester “Lee” and Rosa Ellen (Pollock) Stuck. On February 23, 1946, she married John LeRoy Paige, who died in December 1987.
Mrs. Paige retired in 1967 from Van Wert Manufacturing in Van Wert after 27 years of service. She was a past member of the Nazarene Church in Van Wert.
Survivors include a son, Donald Jack Paige of Van Wert; one daughter, Ellen Joan (John) Kline of Celina; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, in infancy, and three sisters, Vivian R. Newton, Margaret Conn and Treva E. Zaugg.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating.
Calling hours are 2-6 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
TOPP
Roger Joseph Topp, 18, of Grover Hill, died Friday evening, April 30, 2004, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born January 24, 1986, in Van Wert, the son of David M. and Rhonda (Rhodes) Topp, who both survive.
Master Topp was a junior in the carpentry program at Vantage Career Center in Van Wert.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Roger and Alma Rhodes of Grover Hill; paternal grandmother, Mary Topp of Delphos; a brother, Eric Topp of Grover Hill; one sister, April Topp of Grover Hill, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Herman Topp.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home in Van Wert, the Rev. Michael Harper officiating. Burial will be in Scott Cemetery in Scott.
Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Monday, May 3, at the funeral home.

PUTMAN
Peggy V. Putman of Rockford, loving mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord at 5:18 a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004.
She was born May 10, 1917, in Indiana, the daughter of the late George W. and Lulu (Tindall) Baumgardner. On May 9, 1937, she married Max E. Putman, who preceded her in death on October 12, 1974.
Mrs. Putman was a homemaker and lived in the Rockford area all her life, except for a brief time in California. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Decatur, Ind., and a member of the church's Builders Sunday School class.
Survivors include four sons, Jerry L. (Kay) Putman and Larry D. Putman, both of Rockford, Gary A. (Jill) Putman of Van Wert and Terry M. Putman of Celina; six grandchildren, Kim (Brian) Linder, Chris (Rose) Putman, Michael (Kelly) Putman, Trisha (Jon) Smith, Stacia (Brent) Barnhart and Shaun (Shawna) Putman, and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Herbert and Kenneth Baumgardner; two sisters, Bess Galler and Wilma Clouse, and a sister-in-law, Sandy S. Putman.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Rev. Fermin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.
Calling hours are 2-5 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
BROWN
Opal Idora Brown, 99, of Rockford, died at 9:13 a.m. Sunday, April 4, 2004, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford, where she had been a patient.
She was born June 28, 1904, the daughter of the late Cary S. and Zula (Shlater) Fleming. On June 28, 1929, she married Alva Lyman Brown, who died February 7, 1977.
Mrs. Brown was employed at the Pickle Factor in Celina for many years and was also a homemaker. she had lived all her life in the Rockford area and was a member of Rockford United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Doris (Roy) Line of Mendon; one sister, Mary Evelyn Hertenstein of Rockford; two grandsons, Dennis and Doyle Line, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Russell Fleming.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Larry Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Rockford.
Calling hours are 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
