She was born Dec. 17, 1910 in Mechanic Township, Holmes County to Lewis and Julia (Mitten) Marty. Surviving are nieces, Mrs. James (Betty) Hinkle of Millersburg and Mrs. John (Judy) McAllister of Zanesville; nephews, Richard H. Marty of Birmingham, Ala., and David P. Marty of Zanesville; great-nieces, Mrs. Jerry (Cindy) Whitman of Killbuck, Mrs. Jim (Marty Gay) Rice of Holmesville, Julie McAllister and Debra S. Foster, both of Zanesville, and Shannon G. Marty of Houston, Texas; great-nephews, John E. McAllister of Dresden and Michael P. Marty of Birmingham, Ala.; eight great-great-nieces and nephews; nine great-great-great-nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mary Marty of Millersburg.
Florence Lehman
KIDRON -- Florence M. Lehman, 95, of Kidron, died Tuesday, March 23, 1999, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, after an extended illness. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Salem Mennonite Church, near Kidron, with the Rev. Darrell Ediger officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, or one hour prior to the services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem Mennonite Church, P.O. Box 7, Kidron 44636. She was born Nov. 3, 1903 in Orrville to Alfred and Sarah (Mish) Jenny and married Merl E. Lehman on April 27, 1936. He died June 23, 1996. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Brown and Mrs. John (Barbara) Ptuyac, both of Huntsville, Ala.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

RITTMAN -- Martha J. Wilson, 71, 12945 Eastern Road, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 1999, after a courageous nine-year battle with cancer. She was born March 9, 1928 in Altoona, Pa., and relocated to Ohio from Fort Myers, Fla., nine months ago. She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Wilson. Her surviving children are Linda K. Days (Rick) of Marshallville, Mary F. Wilson of Doylestown, Diane M. Donley (Jack) of Rittman, Sandra J. Wilson (Steve) of Hinckley, Tammy M. Nyeste (Dan) of Pataskala and Mark J. Wilson of Rittman; grandmother of Heather, Shane, Michael, J.J. and Danielle; and great-grandmother of Ethan. Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jack L. McMahon of Pataskala Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery. Gordon Scharp Jr.
LODI -- Gordon Scharp Jr., 64, of Lodi, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999, at Medina General Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Smith Road, Medina 44256. He was born May 3, 1934 in Cleveland to Gordon and Ruth (Lentz) Scharp and married Irma Joyce Hagedorn. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, James Scharp; and a brother, Robert Scharp and his wife, Diana, of St. Louis.
