She was born May 29, 1925, near Glenmont to Henry Clay and Christina (Easterday) Burgoon and married Eldoris Zimmerman on Jan. 23, 1960. He survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Russell Glenn Burgoon of Alice, Texas; a sister, Ruth Darringer of Millersburg; a half-sister, Judy VanZile of Shreve; stepchildren; step-grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

NEW BERN, N.C. -- Barbara (Leen) Varga, 72, of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Wooster, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at her residence.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, with Father Ernest Ruede officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 7-9 at Cotten Funeral Home in New Bern, N.C., where a rosary service will follow.

HOLMESVILLE -- Marion A. Hershberger, 49, 6710 Township Road 326, went home to be with the Lord Monday afternoon, Oct. 23, 2000.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Sharon Conservative Mennonite Church, with Steve Miller officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township.

Mary Earon
WADSWORTH -- Mary C. Earon, 79, of Wadsworth, formerly of Creston, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
There will be no services or calling hours. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
She was born March 21, 1921 in Madison County, Ky., to William Gobel and Viola (Bybee) Heathman.
Surviving are daughters, Andrea Williams of Akron and Ricki Grimm of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bud (Phyllis) Heathman of Akron; sisters, Ruth (John) Elliston of Creston, Barbara Fink of Wadsworth, Betty Teischinger of Strasburg and Wanda Mowrey of Seville; and nieces and nephews.
Gladys Hewett
ORRVILLE -- Gladys W. Hewett, 82, 123 Wabash Ave., entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000, at her home after an apparent heart attack.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at Orrville Mennonite Church with Pastors John and Barbara Lehman, Milo Baker and Natura Wright officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, N.Y.
Friends will be received following the memorial service at the church.

She was born Feb. 27, 1918, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Oswald and Louise (Merk) Lawson and married William Hewett on June 27, 1937, in Queens Village, Long Island, N.Y. He died Oct. 7, 1976.
Surviving are a daughter, Alice Sandra Hewett of South Bloomfield; grandchildren, Derek (Missy) Moran of Akron and Tara Moran of Elyria; and a great-grandson, Isaac Moran of Akron.

LODI -- Leslie Lewis Lawrence, 88, of Lodi, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville, after a long period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with Pastor Sheila Massengale officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.

He was born Oct. 11, 1912, in Cleveland to John and Mary (Liptack) Lorencz.

ATWATER -- Blanche A. Pol, 94, formerly of Atwater, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, after a period of declining health.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Terry and Alice Pol of Doylestown.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Ravenna Chapel of Wood-Kortright Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.

ORRVILLE -- Lois S. Richmond, 89, 311 S. Elm St., died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
There will be no calling hours. Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville is handling arrangements.
She was born June 14, 1911, in Canaan Township, Wayne County, to Henry L. and Eva (Culler) Stoll and married Auvil "Dutch" Richmond in 1940. He died in 1982.
Surviving are a sister-in-law, Doris Stoll of Wooster; and nieces and nephews.

SUGARCREEK -- George R. Smith, 93, of Sugarcreek, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Union Hospital in Dover.

LOUDONVILLE -- Iloe Marie Brunney, 91, 747 S. Mount Vernon Ave., died Saturday afternoon, Oct. 21, 2000, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudonville, after an extended illness.
