ORRVILLE -- George T. Knight, 79, 10341 E. Lincoln Way, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Wade Park Veterans Hospital in Cleveland.
Graveside services of the cremains will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman with the Rev. Stephen Olsen officiating.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the American Legion Post, 237 E. Market St., Orrville.
Auble Funeral Home in Orrville is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 9, 1921 in Weston, W.Va. to Herbert and Florence (Eagle) Knight and married Lawanna Seelback on Aug. 22, 1945 in Pomeroy. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Bruce (Jill) Knight of Apple Creek; two grandchildren and a sister, Velma Skinnis of Holiday, Fla.
Pete Campbell
NASHVILLE -- Pete Campbell, 53, of Nashville, died Sunday morning, Oct. 8, 2000, at his home.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg. Burial will be at the Nashville Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 3, 1947, in Newark, N.J. and was the son of Major Eleanor Campbell. On June 8, 1969 he married Virginia A. Lydic. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons and their spouses, Adam and Lori Campbell of Millersburg and Matthew and Mindi Campbell of Millersburg and seven grandchildren, Mandy Glessner, Tony Glessner, Alexis Campbell, Andrew Campbell, Hunter Campbell, Chase Campbell and Brady Campbell.
James Berger
COLUMBIA STATION -- James D. Berger, 54, of Columbia Station, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000.
Memorial service will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. at the Columbia United Methodist Church in Columbia Station. Cremation has taken place.

MASSILLON -- Virginia M. Wiggins, 72, of Massillon, died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000 at Massillon Community Hospital, following a brief illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with the Rev. Duane Wilbur officiating. Burial will be in East Greenville Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 3, 1928 in Lincoln County, W.Va. to John R. and Minnie B. Adkins and married Edward "Bud" Wiggins. He died previously.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Janet Wiggins of Canal Fulton; a sister, Arney "Maxine" (The Rev. Gene) Cooper of North Lawrence; a brother, Kenneth (Diane) Adkins of Dowling, Mich. and numerous step-grandchildren.
Joe Derflinger
DALTON -- Joe D. Derflinger, 43, 18895 Blosser Road, died Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, following an apparent heart attack.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with Natura Wright officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Cremation has taken place.

He was born Sept. 1, 1957 in Orrville to James D. and V. Jean (Alexander) Derflinger.

SEVILLE -- Dorothy Handshue, 85, of Seville, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Apostolic Christian Home.
Services will be today (Sunday) at 3 p.m. at the Jerusalem Evangelical Church with Pastor Gerald Kellerwill officiating. Burial will be at Jerusalem Evangelical Church Cemetery.

BERLIN -- Verna M. Troyer, 95, of Berlin, died Friday evening, Oct. 6, 2000, at the Sunset View Skilled Nursing Home, Millersburg, following a short illness.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Faith Bible Church, Millersburg with pastor Don Fast and pastor Mark Rohrer officiating. Burial will be at the Berlin Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Sunday) from 6-9 at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

She was born June 9, 1905 in Holmes County and was the daughter of Emanuel and Mary (Weaver) Hochstetler. On June 12, 1926 she married Calvin Troyer and he preceded her in death Oct. 13, 1974.
Surviving are five daughters and their spouses, Burnetta and Harry Weiss of Killbuck, Charlotte and Cletus Alberts of Wooster, Mary Ellen and Glenn Lanzer of Dover, Linda and Levi Raber of Millersburg, and Karen and Gary Koenig of Benton; nine grandchildren, Dennis, Alan and Don Weiss, Sandy Meinke, Ron Alberts, Glenda Patton, Michael Miller, Marcia Bechtol and Libby Koenig and 11 great-grandchildren.
Margaret Wetter
SEVILLE -- Margaret O. Wetter, age 95, of Seville, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, died Saturday morning, Oct. 7, 2000, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, Ohio. Her death followed a lengthy illness.
She was born on February 28, 1905 in East Liverpool, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Harry and Cora (Cline) Treese. She was a Massillon resident for most of her life.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Benjamin R. and Maye Wetter of Seville; grandchildren, Dr. Marti (Dr. Joseph) Moore, Cindy (Nathan) Glass, Bruce Wetter and Laura (Andy) Kellar; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Benjamin Moore, Daniel Shipman and Joshua and Sarah Glass and her sister Dolly (Mike) Groelle of Frederick, Md.
Private services will be conducted on Tuesday at Arnold-Lynch Funeral with interment taking place at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. There are no calling hours.

ORRVILLE -- Agnes C. Bidinger, 87, formerly of West Market Street, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, Orrville, following a long illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Oct. 6, at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville. Father Wysoki officiated. Burial was at St. Phillip and James Cemetery in Canal Fulton.
Gresser Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
She was born March 5, 1913 in Millersburg to Martin Joseph and Elizabeth A. (Byron) Bray Jr. and married Raymond P. Bidinger on June 26, 1937. He died Aug. 2, 1988.
She is survived by a daughter, Julia (Robert) Eyler of Wooster; granddaughters, Nada (Bill) Cosgriff of Wadsworth, Mindy Hazel of Wooster and Barb (Jon) Klingler of Millersburg; a grandson, Paul Hazel of Dover; and great-grandchildren, Amanda, Derek, Nakesha and Trey.
'Skip' Danner
NORTH CHARLESTOWN, S.C. -- Clifford Allen "Skip" Danner, 53, of North Charlestown, S.C., died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000.
Services were held Wednesday in Wilmington, N.C. Burial was at Green Lawn Memorial Park in Wilmington, N.C.
He was born April 11, 1947 in Wooster to Warren E. and Barbara (Schlegel) Danner.
Surviving are his wife, Ann of the home; his mother, Barbara Danner Fisher of Huntersville, N.C.; three sons, Ty Matthew Danner and Chad Warren Danner, both of Huntersville, N.C. and Ryan James Danner of Chapel Hill, N.C.
Katie Miller
DALTON -- Katie Ann Miller, 86, of Shady Lawn Health Care Community, died early Friday morning, October 6, 2000, at the nursing home, following a long period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at the Sonlight Chapel in Maysville with the Rev. Ray Shaum officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry L. Ruther officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.

Rev. Herbert Durham
MANASSAS, Va. -- Rev. Herbert F. Durham, 94, formerly of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 2, 2000, in Manassas, Va.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Church of the Saviour, Wooster, with Pastor Jerry Durham and Rev. Dr. Robert P. Durham officiating. A luncheon will be provided at the church prior to committal services at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.

He married Lina Belle Rice on July 1, 1928 in Oakland, Md. She went home to be with the Lord on January 30, 1988.
He is survived by two sons and their spouses, Rev. Jerry (Janet) Durham of Wooster and Rev. Dr. Robert P. (Mary) Durham of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters and their spouses, Betty J. (Rev. Theron) Smith of Columbus and Janet (William) Watts of Centreville, Va.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

WOOSTER -- Mary Messer, 101, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at Horn Nursing Home in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Dundee Cemetery with the Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating. There will be no calling hours.

She was born Aug. 20, 1899 in Holmes County to Henry and Minnie (Schwarm) Messer.
She is survived by a nephew and three great-nieces.

MILLERSBURG -- Georgianna Martin Conner, 64, of Millersburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at her residence, following an extended illness.

ASHLAND -- Don I. Cole, 85, of 1610 Township Road 1153, died at Brethren Care Village in Ashland, Saturday morning, Sept. 30, 2000, following a long illness.
He was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on Aug. 9, 1915, the son of the late Roscoe A. Cole and Jennie Blanche Kurtz Cole Siegmann.
For the past 61 years he was married to Ruth E. Zehner, who he married on June 16, 1939. She survives him.
He is also survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and James Miller of Shelby, Meredith and Leo Genereux of Mount Vernon and Natalie and Doug Scott of Wooster; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000), at 11 a.m., from the Trinity Lutheran Church, 508 Center St., Ashland, with Pastors Sanford Mitchell and Robert Pflueger officiating. Burial will be in the Ashland County Memorial Park.
