WOOSTER -- John Joseph Yankello Sr., 84, 1017 Pittsburgh Ave., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville, with Father John Mueller officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

He was born March 9, 1915, in Clarkdale, Iowa, to Charles J. and Catherine (Chirillo) Yankello and married Mary Bishop on Jan. 4, 1937. She survives.

Lillian Dinger
BUTLER -- Lillian Joan (Franklin) Dinger, 77, 42 Stewart Ave., died Monday, Jan. 31, 2000, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield, with the Rev. David Sipes and Father John Jordan of Grace Episcopal Church, officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1923, in Oldbury, England, to Albert Edward and Phyllis Sarah (Hargreaves) Franklin and married Carl Dinger Sr. on Oct. 15, 1941. He survives.

Sarabel Hunter
WOOSTER -- Sarabel M. Hunter, 74, of Sunrise Assisted Living, Wooster, formerly of Beaver Falls, Pa., died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Sunrise, after a six-month period of declining health.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Sunrise Assisted Living, Wooster, with the Rev. Ralph Fogel officiating. Private family burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.

She was born Jan. 8, 1926.
Surviving are daughters, Laura Kemerer and her husband, Paul, of Wooster and Annesta Headley of West Chester, Pa.; two granddaughters; a sister, Annetta Lynch and her husband, Conrad, of Venice, Fla.; and a brother, Dr. John McGee and his wife, Sharon of Glenview, Ill.
Her husband, James E. Hunter, died Oct. 22, 1998. They had been married for 55 years.

BIG PRAIRIE -- Carl W. Tope, 62, 12199 County Road 316, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at his residence.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, with Pastor Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Lakeville to Lloyd and Faye (Harris) Tope.

MARSHALLVILLE -- Bernadine B. Matty, 78, 23 E. Church St., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Select Specialty Hospital in Barberton.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's United Church of Christ in Marshallville, with the Rev. Joe Routh officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Marshallville to Ervin and Mary (Werntz) Crites and married Herbert Matty on Aug. 6, 1941. He survives.

WEST SALEM -- Henry Dotson, 85, 6985 Gable Road (Lattasburg), died Tuesday evening, Feb. 1, 2000, at West View Manor Nursing Home, Wooster.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Singletons Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, Va., where friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. The Rev. Max Linkous will officiate. Burial will be at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Claypool Hills, Va.

He was born Nov. 23, 1914, in Cleveland, Va., to Beacom and Nannie (Musick) Dotson.
Surviving are children, Christine Pierce of Shreve, Mrs. Elbert (Betty) Pierce of Big Prairie and Roger Dotson of West Salem; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Arbua Dotson of Cleveland, Va.; and a sister, Stella Rasnake of Granite Falls, N.C.
Corrinne Rudge
AUSTINTOWNN -- Corrinne Louise Rudge, 87, of Alterra Clare Bridge Cottage, formerly of East Palestine, died Monday morning, Jan. 31, 2000, at her home.
She was the mother of Mrs. Francis (Carol Ann) Cicconetti of Wooster.
Services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, 60 W. Martin St., East Palestine, with the Rev. Chuck Moffett officiating. Burial will be at Glenview Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 9, 1912, in East Palestine to Francis M. and Edna E. (Todd) Dodd and married Edson F. Rudge on Jan. 3, 1941. He died Nov. 2, 1997.
Other survivors include children, Mrs. James (Janet Lynn) Parker of East Palestine and Dr. John Rudge of Canfield; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Walter (Sarah) Lembright of Alliance; and a brother, William Dodd of East Palestine.
Earl Singer
MASSILLON -- Earl E. Singer, 69, of Massillon, was pronounced dead on arrival Tuesday evening, Feb. 1, 2000, at Massillon Community Hospital, after an apparent heart attack.
He was the son of Clyde Singer and the brother of Viola Smith, both of Dalton.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Massillon Baptist Temple, with the Rev. Bruce D. Cummons officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant View Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
He was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Massillon to Clyde and Bertha (Baker) Singer.
Other survivors include a daughter, Anna Mae Phinney of Ohio; stepchildren, Eva Cohen, Cynthia Farren, Carol Stevens, Paul, Arthur and Robert Tryon, all of New York; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and Paul Singer, both of Massillon, Dale Singer of Wrightsville, Pa., and Harry Singer of Milton, Ky.
His wife, Gladys Singer, died in 1995.

WOOSTER -- Freda A. Kopec, 88, 4120 Lytle Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at noon at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the funeral home.

She was born June 17, 1911, in Lore City to Leslie and Martha (Felton) Redd and married John E. Kopec on April 12, 1941. He died July 23, 1999.
Surviving are children, Paul (Carol) Kopec of Wooster, John (Bonnie) Kopec of Center Village and Mary Selvage of Apple Creek; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Eva Seebach of Indianapolis and Vivian Black of Mansfield; and a brother, Wayne Redd of Lore City.

ASHLAND -- Grace E. Fryman Risser, 77, 122 Steele Ave., died Tuesday evening, Feb. 1, 2000, at Kingston of Ashland.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church in Ashland, with Pastors Dan Allan and C. Dean Risser officiating. Burial will be at Polk Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 27, 1922, in Garrett County, Md., to James R. and Ida M. (Thomas) Crossen and married Carl V. Fryman on Dec. 25, 1941. He died Aug. 13, 1971. She then married Howard R. Risser on July 27, 1973. He died Oct. 16, 1981.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Joan and Eugene Kinney and Charles V. and Donna Fryman, all of Ashland, Barbara and Jack Savage of Bradenton, Fla., Linda and Michael Hickey of Nova and David C. and Nancy Fryman of Sykesville, Md.; a stepson, C. Dean Risser and his wife, Ella Lee, of Ashland; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren.
Steven Nalley
WAYNESVILLE, Mo. -- Steven Michael Nalley, 50, of Waynesville, Mo., formerly of Creston, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at University Hospital in Denver, while waiting for a heart transplant.
He was born Dec. 20, 1949, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to George F. and Caroline (Sigler) Nalley and married Charlene Long on June 19, 1972. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Kellie Scott and Errin Nalley, both of Waynesville, Mo.; his mother of Creston; brothers, James Nalley Waynesville, Mo., and Keith Nalley of Richland; a sister, Georgette Grey of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
Martha Schlegel
APPLE CREEK -- Martha N. Schlegel, 72, 503 W. Main St., entered into rest Wednesday evening, Feb. 2, 2000, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Claude L. McComas officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

She was born July 17, 1927, in Beaver Dam, Ky., to Roy and Edna (Moore) Blankenship and married Lawrence M. Schlegel on Nov. 20, 1944, in Beaver Dam, Ky. He survives.
She had made her home in Wayne County since 1940 and was a homemaker. She was a former member of Nold Avenue Baptist Church in Wooster.
Other survivors include a daughter, Linda Saurer and her husband, Larry, of Apple Creek; a grandson, Evan Saurer and his wife, Ellen; great-grandchildren, Jillian and Eric Saurer and Gretchen and Hillerie Immel; and sisters, Lora Snodgrass of Wooster and Betty Wrather of Shreve.
An infant son, Robert Schlegel, a sister, Lexie Stoler, a brother, John Blankenship, two infant sisters and two infant brothers died previously.
Carl Muller
WOOSTER -- Carl L. Muller, 87, 767 Hamilton Ave., died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, at Glendora Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery in Barberton.

He was born July 12, 1912, in New York City to George and Daisy Elizabeth (Skinner) Muller and married Ella Reiter on Sept. 3, 1938. She survives.
He was a 1934 graduate of Thiel College, receiving his bachelor of science degree, and had been a chemist at Pittsburg Plate Glass Industries in Barberton for 38 years, retiring in 1974.
He moved to Wooster in December 1990, from Barberton, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster, First Lutheran Church in Barberton, was formerly active with the Boy Scouts of America in Barberton and the Chemical Society. He was an active ham radio operator.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Timothy H. and E. Dottie Muller of West New York, N.J., Philip and Aliceanne Muller of Falls Church, Va., Becky and Dr. William Smith of Wooster, David and Barbara Muller of Midland, Mich., and Sarah Muller and Gary Joseph of Oak Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and brothers, Harold Muller of Zapata, Texas, and John Muller of Rockville, Md.
Henry Dotson

His wife, L. Didama Dotson, died in 1997. Brothers, Clovis, Sam, Emmit, Chick and Dellie, sisters, Nora Dotson and Maggie Belle Fields, a granddaughter and a great-granddaughter died previously.
Wilson Corbin
WOOSTER -- Wilson Corbin, 82, 339 S. Grant St., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at the Horn Nursing Home.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Jim Palmer officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

He was born May 8, 1917 in Flatwoods, Ky., to Scott W. and Edna Mae (Watts) Corbin.
Surviving are his wife, Cloney DeHart Corbin, whom he married Feb. 11, 1937; a son, Homer Corbin of Wooster and a daughter, Mrs. John (Faye Darlene) Hunt of Scottsdale, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a brother, John Corbin of California.

WOOSTER -- Gale E. Tomblin, 58, of 4984 Angling Ext., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2000 at his home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with the Rev. Dr. J.A. Burton officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1941 at Logan, W.Va to Frank and Juanita (Lucas) Tomblin and lived in Rittman before moving to Wooster 10 years ago.
Surviving are his mother, Juanita Tomblin of Portsmouth; his former wife, Patsy Tomblin of Wooster; a son, Edward (Peggy) Tomblin of Smithville; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Lynn) Catherman of Apple Creek; four grandchildren; a brother, Bernard Tomblin of East Lynn, W.Va. and five sisters, Elaine Ellis and Phyllis Higgins, both of Chesapeake, Judy Pinson and Gaynell Twell, both of Huntington, W.Va., Brenda Tomblin of Cleveland.

WOOSTER -- Adele Leckrone, 90, formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2000, in Maryland.
Graveside services were held.
Surviving are a daughter, Lucille of Arizona, a son, Ronnie of Missouri; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
