Earl Caillet
WOOSTER -- Earl A. Caillet, 82, 904 E. University St., died Sunday morning, Feb. 20, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. William Lofgren officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Salvation Army, Wooster Corps, 437 S. Market St., Wooster 44691; or to the Boys' Village, P.O. Box 518, Smithville 44677.
He was born March 3, 1917, in Orrville to Glen and Emma (Ervin) Caillet and married Doris Ewing on Sept. 22, 1951. She survives.
Other survivors include a niece, Pam Kousagan; and a great-niece, Amy Kousagan of Massillon.

'Sandy' Pete
BRANDON, Fla. -- Cassandra G. "Sandy" (Biggs) Pete, 47, 2210 Alder Way, Brandon, Fla. 33510, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at her home after a long illness.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Stowers Funeral Home in Brandon, Fla., with the Rev. Michael McFarren of Dalton officiating. Burial will be at Hillsborough Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Sandy Pete Baseball Memorial Fund, in care of Evelyn Grecco, 506 Sportsman Park Drive, Seffner, Fla. 33584; or to the American Cancer Society.
She was born March 2, 1952, in Romulus, N.Y., to Ned and Katy (Tarrh) Biggs and married Phillip Pete on May 4, 1981. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Michael and Brian, both of the home; her parents of Dalton; a brother, Jeffrey Biggs and his wife, Cindy, of Wooster; and an aunt, Sue Haley and her husband, Bill, of Orrville.

Janice Cornett
ELGIN, Ill. -- Janice Kay Cornett, 54, of Elgin, Ill., formerly of Wooster, entered into rest Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at Highland Park Hospital in Highland Park, Ill., after a long illness.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with Pastor Nathan Ward officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Dec. 24, 1945 in Wooster to Robert and Lennie (Butler) Haven and married John T. Cornett in 1979 in Wooster. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Scott Shamp and Darrell Shamp Jr., both of Killbuck and Tamela Vas and her husband, Anthony, of Streamwood, Ill.; a stepson, Stephen Cornett and his wife, Donna, of Schaumburg, Ill.; five grandchildren; her mother Lennie Hess of Wooster; brothers and their wives, Robert and MaryAnn Haven of Wooster, David Haven of Big Prairie and Richard and Shirley Haven of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and sisters and their husbands, Virgie Rouch and Drucilla and Raymond Howell, all of Zephyrhills, Fla., Georgia and James Gentry and Kate and Joe Lucci, all of Wooster.

Alta Yockey
SHREVE -- Alta I. Yockey, 92, formerly of North Market Street, died Monday evening, Feb. 21, 2000, at West View Manor Nursing Home in Wooster.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, with the Rev. Bob Kuntz officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to Shreve United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 525, Shreve 44676.
She was born May 30, 1907, near Moreland to Eugene and Hannah (Daugherty) Zaring and married Shannon F. Yockey on June 17, 1930. He died May 14, 1946.
Surviving are sons and their wives, Forest and Dora Lee Yockey and Richard and Cynthia Yockey, all of Wooster; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Ethel Dravenstott of Shreve.

Ralph Sanese, Sr
COLUMBUS -- Ralph L. Sanese, Sr., 73, beloved spouse of 51 years, father, grandfather, brother and friend to many, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be Friday at St. Timothy Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 6-8 and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at John Quint Funeral Home, 1177 West 5th Ave., Columbus.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ralph L. Sanese Memorial Fund at Ohio Dominican College (scholarship fund), in care of Advancement Office, 1216 Sunbury Road, Columbus 43219.

Em Hershberger
MILLERSBURG -- Em E. Hershberger, 84, 4265 State Route 557, died this morning, Feb. 23, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Floyd Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, Clark Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime after 6 tonight at the residence. Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, is handling arrangements.
He was born April 10, 1915, in Farmerstown to Emanuel V. and Amanda (Troyer) Hershberger and married Mary E. Miller on Nov. 4, 1937. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Sam (Mary) Hershberger and Mrs. Roman S. (Amanda) Hershberger, both of Millersburg and Mrs. Andy M. (Lizzie) Hershberger of the home; 14 grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Syl Hershberger of Sarasota, Fla.; and a sister, Katie Yoder of Baltic.

Frank Taggart
ASHLAND -- Frank Taggart, 83, of Ashland, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2000, at Kingston of Ashland.
He was the father and father-in-law of Melissa and Jim Manley of Jeromesville.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Van Hove Funeral Home in Ashland, with Pastor Ignatius David officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born Aug. 23, 1916, in Wayne County to Milton C. and Alta (Geiselman) Taggart and married Kathleen Wachtel on Aug. 6, 1938. She died Jan. 5, 1996.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Kristie and Greg Plank of Cinnamon Lake and Michael C. and Marie Taggart of Long Lake, Minn.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Ralph Jackson
TROY -- Ralph H. Jackson, 79, 430 S. Clay St., died Monday, Feb. 21, 2000, at her residence.
He was the father and father-in-law of Kathy and Donald Immel of Millersburg.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Fisher-Cheney Funeral Home, 1124 W. Main St., Troy, with his brother, the Rev. Wilbur Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Troy, where military rites will be conducted by Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, P.O. Box 502, Troy 45373; or to Veterans Memorial Honor Guard of Troy.
He was born Jan. 19, 1921, in Montgomery County to Martin and Effie (Alley) Jackson and married Pauline J. Snyder on Feb. 23, 1946. She survives.
Other survivors include sons, Ralph H. "Jack" Jackson Jr. and his wife, Michelle Ramsay, Scott Jackson and his wife, Cindy, and Keith Jackson, all of Troy and William L. Jackson of Columbus; nine grandchildren; a brother, the Rev. Wilbur Jackson and his wife, Joan, of Cincinnati; and sisters and their husbands, Neva and Paul Pearson of Troy and Mary Alice Curley of Michigan City, Ind.
A daughter, Caroline Sue Jackson, brothers, Martin and Andrew Jackson, sisters, Ressie Jackson and Dorothy Musser, and a half-brother, John Puterbaugh, died previously.

Imagean Castle
WOOSTER -- Imagean Castle, 78, 2495 McCoy Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Young Funeral Home in Louisa, Ky., where friends may call Friday from 6-9 p.m. The Rev. Tim York will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa, Ky.
Local arrangements are being handled by Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman.
She was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Louisa, Ky., to Ora and Minnie (Childers) Blackburn and married John W. Castle. He died in 1979.
Surviving are children and their spouses, John and Wanda Castle of Wooster and Delores and Jack Collins of Kenova, W.Va.; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edith Keller of Columbus.

LauraJ Bowman
HOLMESVILLE -- LauraJ Bowman, 67, 8129 Township Road 576, died Wednesday evening, Feb. 23, 2000, at her residence after a long illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Guy Culberson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holmes County Hospice, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg 44654.
She was born Sept. 12, 1932, in Loveland to Guy and Dorothy (Mains) Culberson and married Norman L. Bowman on June 27, 1964 in Wooster. He survives.
Surviving are daughters and their husbands, Zoanne and Charles Evans of Holmesville, Donna and Bruce Babbs of Canaan and Cindy and Bill Starling of Burbank; stepsons and their wives, Jerry and Tammy Bowman and Jamie and Carmen Bowman, all of Wooster and Jeff Bowman of Overton; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a brother, Guy Culberson Jr. of Mason.

Kenneth Fuhrman
WEST SALEM -- Retired Ford dealer, Kenneth A. Fuhrman of West Salem, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla. He had been a winter visitor since 1985.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with Pastor Martha Mathatas officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 8:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to West Salem United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 266, West Salem 44287; or to Ida Sue School, 266 Oldman Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born in West Salem to Ray R. and Ruth M. (Miner) Fuhrman.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela Kay Wylie and her husband, David, of Bakersville, N.C.; two granddaughters; and nieces and nephews.
His wife, Phyllis Fuhrman, died in 1989.

Charles Cutter
KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Charles A. Cutter, 82, 1208 E. Lakeshore Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Edward Balint officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services.
Those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Orrville to Ellsworth and Harritte (Brenneman) Cutter and married Theresa Marie Gallo on Sept. 4, 1943. She died July 29, 1995.
Surviving are children, Garry Cutter of Apple Creek, Charles Cutter and his wife, Elizabeth, and Linda Cutter, all of West Salem and Connie Grieves and her husband, John, of Kissimmee, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, John Cutter of Haines City, Fla.; and a sister, Edith Funk of Lodi.

Richard Montanya
BRECKSVILLE -- Richard H. Montanya, 70, of Brecksville, formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Brecksville Veterans Administration Hospital.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Wooster Cemetery, with the Rev. Dale Sanford officiating.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to People to People Ministries, 454 E. Bowman St., Wooster 44691.
He was born Feb. 23, 1930, in Wooster to Harold and Eunice (Masters) Montanya.
Surviving are children, Gregory Montanya of Lexington, Steven Montanya of Wooster, Laura Jo Caudill of Crestline, David Montanya and Mrs. Gary (Lynn) Swartz, both of Mansfield; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Joanne Montanya of Willoughby Hills; and his former wife, Evelyn (Saal) Montanya of Lexington.

E. Richard Brennstuhl
FORT MYERS, Fla. -- E. Richard "Dick" Brennstuhl, 83, 4253 Ellen Ave., formerly of Funk, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000.
Services were held today (Thursday) at 2 at Lee Memorial Park in Lehigh Acres, Fla., with the Rev. Donald Strange officiating.
He was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Perrysville to William and Mary (Bisman) Brennstuhl and married Betty Shambaugh on May 18, 1941. She survives.
Other survivors include children Donna (Duane) Keener of Ashland, Janice (Gary) Trask, Linda Stumbaugh and Ken (Criss) Brennstuhl, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Anderson
BUCYRUS. -- Eleanor E. Anderson, 84, of Bucyrus, formerly of Marion and Ashland, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
She was the sister and sister-in-law of Jean Kaylor and Deanna and Wincil McKeand, all of Doylestown.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Boyd Funeral Home in Marion, with Phil Williams officiating. Burial will be at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association.
She was born Nov. 2, 1915, in Barberton to John and Mary (Smith) Stewart and married LeRoy M. Arnold. He died previously. She then married Howard L. Anderson. He died in 1987.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Jeri and Steve Wilson, Raymond L. and Diane Arnold and LeRoy J. and Laura Arnold, all of Marion and Leonard D. Arnold of Mount Gilead; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Patricia "Patty" Ladina
CRESTON -- Patricia "Patty" Ladina, 52, of Creston, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Hillcrest Chapel, corner of Acme and Seville Roads, Wadsworth. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Cleveland to George and Margaret (Spragg) Beres and married Robert Ladina on June 14, 1969. They had been married for 30 years and he survives.
Other survivors include daughters and their husbands, Kandice and Kyle Davies of Creston, Robin and Jim Dekevich of Wadsworth and Jessica Ladina of Lakewood; grandchildren, Justin and Collin Davies and Maranda Dutkevitch; her stepmother, Irene Beres of Cleveland; a brother, Robert Beres of Medina; and a sister, Georgette Izworski of Lodi.

William Hawks
WOOSTER -- William F. "Bill" Hawks, 82, of Wooster, formerly of Orrville, died Monday night, Feb. 21, 2000, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville. after a long illness.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Ken Peterson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Orrville Salvation Army, 128 E. Market St., Orrville 44667.
He was born Oct. 4, 1917, in Orrville to Adolphus Raymond and Carrie Mae (Terrell) Hawks and married Rae E. Clark on Dec. 22, 1962 in West Virginia. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he will be sadly missed by sons and daughters-in-law, Ray "Bucky" and Pam Hawks of North Lawrence and William R. "Bill" and Dawn Hawks of Normal, Ill., and a daughter and son-in-law, Rayonna and Rex Leiner of Fredericksburg; and grandchildren, Steve, Matt, Chelsea, Allison, Scott, Erica, Joshua, Jordan, Nicolette and Rayne.

Boyd Metcalf
APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. -- Boyd F. Metcalf, 89, 3400 S. Ironwood Drive, No. 102, formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000.
Family services will be held in Arizona.
He was born May 24, 1910, and married Juanita Hammer. She survives.
Other survivors include sons and their wives, Dale and Sally Metcalf and Alvin and Judy Metcalf, both of Apache Junction, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a twin brother, Cloyd Metcalf and his wife, Mary, of Wooster.
