NEW PHILADELPHIA -- Laura Stith, 80, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2000, at Union Hospital, after a brief illness.
Services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover, with the Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 5, 1919, in Rittman to Isodore and Minnie (Moine) Strupe and married Edward Stith Sr. He died in 1968.
Surviving are children, Timothy Stith and his wife, Sharon, of Brewster and Kathy Stith of New Philadelphia; and three grandchildren.

WOOSTER -- Lewis "Lewie" Leiter, 66, 2428 Monterey St., Wooster, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel in Wooster with the Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where military rites will be held.

He was born May 23, 1933 in Ashland to Harold and Sadie (Watson) Leiter. He married Jean E. Hines on Nov. 23, 1952. She survives.

CRESTON -- Patricia "Patty" Ladina, 52, of Creston, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.

She was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Cleveland to George and Margaret (Spragg) Beres and married Robert Ladina on June 14, 1969. They had been married for 30 years and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughters and their husbands, Kandice and Kyle Davies of Creston, Robin and Jim Dutkevitch of Wadsworth and Jessica Ladina of Lakewood; grandchildren, Justin and Collin Davies and Maranda Dutkevitch; her stepmother, Irene Beres of Cleveland; a brother, Robert Beres of Medina; and a sister, Georgette Izworski of Lodi.

PERRYSVILLE -- Norma Jean (Hostler) Kiner, 77, of Perrysville, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Mansfield General Hospital, after a long illness.

WOOSTER -- Willis "Toad" Plant, 84, of Wooster, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at Horn Nursing Home, following a period of declining health.

SMITHVILLE -- Eileen M. Bolden, 81, 335 Fairlawn, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2000, at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster, following an extended illness.
Memorial services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Cuyahoga Falls.

KIDRON -- Janet A. Lehman, 64, of Kidron, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at the home of her daughter in Goshen, Ind., after a two-month illness.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Terry Shue and Erman Myers officiating. Family graveside services will be held at the church cemetery.

She was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Louisville to Alvin and Gladys (Hochstetler) Schloneger and married Merlin C. Lehman on Nov. 22, 1958. He survives.

WOOSTER -- Mary E. Butdorf, 81, formerly of Wooster, entered into rest Saturday morning, Feb. 26, 2000, at Kingston Nursing Center in Ashland, where she had resided since November 1988.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with Pastor Glenn Royer officiating. Private interment of the cremains will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum at the convenience of the family.

Surviving are a brother, Frank VanMeter Jr. and his wife, Janet, of Ashland; and a sister, Marjorie Bowman of Wooster.

He was born June 6, 1929, in Boykin, S.C., to Abraham and Sally Lee (Patterson) Gilyard and married Naomi Tarpley on Nov. 27, 1948. She survives.

Malinda Hostetler
HARTVILLE -- Malinda (Hershberger) Hostetler, 89, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, at the home of her daughter after a lingering illness.
She was the mother of Mrs. Lester (Ada) Mast of Holmesville.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Eugene Sommers officiating. Burial will be at King Church Cemetery, Hartville.

She was born April 20, 1910, in Trail, Holmes County.

NORTH LAWRENCE -- Esther M. Milliken, 80, of North Lawrence, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2000, at her home after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Chapel of the Cross United Methodist Church in North Lawrence, with Pastor Douglas Meek officiating. Burial will be at Newman Creek Cemetery in North Lawrence.

She was born in 1909, near Baltic to Nathaniel Fair and Mary Grace Lodgson and was the oldest of 10 children. She married Joseph V. Colville. He died previously.

Hall, of Stow and Mary Jo Worthington and her husband, Randall W., of Munroe Falls; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Joan Miller and Mary Ellen Close, both of Millersburg; and many nieces and nephews.

CANTON -- John R. Eschman II, 44, of Canton, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2000, after a lengthy illness.
