OMAHA, Neb. -- Ward Lewis Robison, 72, of Omaha, Nebr., died Tuesday, March 21, 2000, in Omaha.
Services will be held at a later date. Crosby-Kunold Burket, Swanson Golden Funeral Chapels in Omaha, Nebr., is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
He was born Dec. 17, 1927 in Wooster.
Surviving are his wife, Doris Robison of Omaha, Nebr.; daughters, Deborah E. Robison and Laurie Frydendell and her husband, Patrick, all of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a sister, Joyce Geier of Orlando, Fla.
Guy Carpenter
DANVILLE -- Guy Vane Carpenter, 65, 21320 Wooster Road, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, after an extended illness.
He was the brother of Owen "Page" Carpenter of Perrysville, Watson Carpenter and Ada Glo Starr, both of Wooster.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Dan Mettler officiating. Burial will be at Jelloway Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
He was born July 25, 1934, in Liberty Hill, W.Va., to Guy S. and Dora (Price) Carpenter and married Helen J. Bishop on March 16, 1957. She survives.
Other survivors include a brother, Boyd Carpenter of Ashland; sisters, Ellen Starcher of Spencer, W.Va., Mary Jane Bee of Ashland and Delma Ruth Endicott of Arnoldsburg, W.Va.; and half-sisters, Karen Roberts of California and Sharon Carpenter of West Virginia.
Grover Stark
MARSHALLVILLE -- Grover A. Stark, 82, of Marshallville, died Wednesday evening, March 22, 2000, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home in Canton, with the Rev. Karen Oehl officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Burial Park.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7-9 at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services.
He was born June 6, 1917, in Montrose, W.Va., to Samuel and Anna (Simmons) Stark.
Surviving are his wife, Benelee Stark of Canton; children and their spouses, Gary and Gaynel Stark of Blairsville, Ga., Glen and Linda Stark of Magnolia, Dean and Christina Stark of East Sparta and Debbie and Paul Williams of Louisville; grandchildren, Bryan Stark, Donna Harper, Shelly Minor, Monday Stark, Laurie Stark, Angie Farber, Brandy Williams and Tom Williams; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Jessie Stark of Canton; and a special friend, Gladys Werntz.
Ruth Pinkley
WADSWORTH -- Ruth (Haskins) Pinkley, 84, of Wadsworth, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, where the family will receive friends two hours prior to the services. The Rev. Carol A. Cutting will officiate. Burial will be at Canaan Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 24, 1915 in Canaan.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Carl Pinkley; a daughter, Lillian Kinnard and her husband, Bob, of Doylestown; a grandson, Brian Kinnard; a sister, Helen Double of Wooster; and a brother, Merlin Haskins of Canaan.
Eli Schrock
SARASOTA, Fla. -- Eli A. Schrock, 89, 5631 Antoinette St., died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at the home of his son, "Abe" Schrock in Sarasota.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Bay Shore Mennonite Church in Sarasota, with Pastor Duane Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Weigand Brothers Funeral Home in Sarasota.
He was born Sept. 18, 1910, in Berlin to Abe and Katie (Yoder) Schrock and married Mary Hershberger on Jan. 15, 1931. She died Feb. 18, 1986.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Paul and Phyliss Schrock, Weldon "Abe" and Ellen Schrock, Richard and Sue Schrock and Esther and Lin Graber, all of Sarasota, Fla., Henry and Sandra Schrock of Bristol, Ind., and Betty and Tom Davis of Wooster; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Schrock of Killbuck; and a sister, Mrs. Roy (Clara) Beachy of Berlin.
Milton Bucher
WOOSTER -- Milton A. Bucher, 49, formerly of Woodcrest Drive, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Floyd Koenig officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.

He was born Nov. 12, 1950 in Huntington, W.Va., to Floyd and Joanne (Pennington) Bucher.
Surviving are a son, Brandon L. Bucher of Wooster; his mother, Joanne Mullins of Wooster; a sister, Rita Okuda of Simi Valley, Calif.; and a brother, Keith Bucher and his wife, Anna, of Wooster.
James and William Baker
WOOSTER -- Memorial services for brothers James Walter Baker, 45, and William Lloyd Baker, 37, will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Mackey Hall, Wooster.
James Baker, died Tuesday, Feb. 29, 2000, at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nev. Those who wish may make contributions to the hospice at 4141 S. Swenson, Las Vegas, Nev. 89119.
He was born May 6, 1954, in Carlsbad, N.M., to William and Sue (Randall) Baker Jr., who resided in Wooster for 29 years.
William Baker, died Jan. 30, 1977, of cancer in Mount Shasta, Calif.
He was born July 30, 1939 in Dallas. He was employed in sales at the Little, Brown & Co. in Los Angeles. He also was a sculptor and produced sculptures in California. He is survived by sons, William Scott Baker of Sierra Madre, Calif., and Noah Justin Baker of Mount Shasta, Calif.
James and William Baker are survived by their mother of Ann Arbor, Mich., and sisters, Kathleen Baker of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Susan Leo of Portland, Ore.
Their father died previously.
Carl Ganyard
CANAL FULTON -- Carl B. Ganyard, 76, of Canal Fulton, died Friday, March 24, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, Canal Fulton with the Rev. David Daum officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home.

He was born in Phalanx.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy L. Ganyard; a son, David (Tabatha) Ganyard of West Milton; two sisters, Thelma Frey of Boulder, Colo. and Marjorie (Charles) Nixon of Livingston, Texas; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Two brothers, Dale and Cecil Ganyard, died previously.
Rhoda V. Nussbaum
DALTON -- Rhoda V. Nussbaum, 84, of Dalton, died Friday morning, March 24, 2000, at her home, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Kidron Mennonite Church with the Revs. Terry Shue and Herman Myers officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Fellowship Building of the Kidron Mennonite Church or one hour before services on Monday at the church.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children and their spouses, Mary Lou and Larry Roth, Richard and Judie Nussbaum, and Ronald and Lendora Nussbaum, all of Dalton, Ray and Joan Nussbaum of Kidron; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Clayton (Ann) Hofstetter of Dalton. Two sisters, Luella Lehman and Elma Zuercher, died previously.
Arnold Fielder
DOYLESTOWN -- Arnold L. Fielder, 92, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at his home in Doylestown.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Doylestown United Methodist Church with Dr. David Tennant officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

Arnold L. Fielder was born July 30, 1907, in Elnora, Ind. to William D. and Mamie E. (Andis) Fielder.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Bob Williams of Doylestown, Alice and Muril Zimmerman of Mentor, Sarah and Harold Munson of Churchville, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sue Fielder of Chaska, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Myers of Epsom, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (McCartney) Fielder, a son, David Fielder, two brothers and three sisters.
Cheryl Davis
RIVERSIDE -- Cheryl L. Davis, 53, of Riverside, died Thursday, March 23, 2000, at her home.
She was the sister of Charlene Riffle of Orrville.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Tobias Funeral Home, Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek. Burial will be at Heritage Hills Memory Gardens in Springboro.

She was born Nov. 12, 1946 in Gassaway, W.Va. to Roscoe and Beulah McCumbers and married Jackie L. Davis in 1964. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband and sister are a son and his wife, Bradley L. and Magdalena Davis of Dayton and two grandchildren.
Her parents died previously.
Frank Roach
KILLBUCK -- Frank B. Roach, 106, of Killbuck, died Friday morning, March 24, 2000, at The Holmes County Home, Holmesville.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with Gerald Craycraft and Dale Duncan officiating. Burial will be at the Killbuck Cemetery with military rites being conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign War Post 7079.
Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic services beginning at 8:45 p.m.

He was born Nov. 10, 1893, in Kalamazoo, Mich. and was the son of Thomas and Nina (Short) Roach. He married Mildred Pyers in July of 1917 and she preceded him in death in 1966. In 1968 he married Eleanor Doolittle and she died in 1986.
Surviving are six children and their spouses, Glenda and Al Arnold of Killbuck, RuthAnn and Dick Uhl of Millersburg, Dale and Laura Jean Roach of Killbuck, Jack and Jeanette Roach of Canal Fulton, Don and Florence Roach of Dalton and Herbert Roach of Gainesville, Ga.; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Roach of Killbuck; 29 grandchildren; 70 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Roach and Thomas Roach, a daughter, Frances Roach, four brothers and a sister.
Wilma Grossenbach
MILLERSBURG -- Wilma D. Grossenbach, 80, 10481 Township Road 269, died Friday morning, March 24, 2000, at Horn Nursing Home in Wooster, following an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg with Thomas White officiating. Burial will be at the Killbuck Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 18, 1919 in Woodsfield to Roscoe O. and Rosa M. (Hunnel) Stevens and married Robert E. Grossenbach. He died Nov. 1, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Jean Shaffer of Millersburg; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Earl Schafrath
ORRVILLE -- Earl F. Schafrath, 87, 431 Brandon Court, went home to be with the Lord, Friday evening, March 24, 2000, at his residence, following an apparent heart illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Smithville with the Rev. Stephen Olsen officiating, followed by burial at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church.

Mr. Schafrath was born September 4, 1912 to Leo and Clara (Rohr) Schafrath in Massillon and had lived in the Wayne County area most of his life.
He married Edith R. (Weckesser) Maxwell on January 9, 1988 in Wooster. She survives.
He is survived by three sons and their spouses, Joseph L. and Miriam Schafrath of Seville, James E. and Sandy Schafrath of Mineral City and Robert F. and Diane Schafrath of Wooster; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald R. (Mary Ann) Stutz of Creston and Mrs. Richard L. (Jean T.) Schwartz of Wooster; five brothers, Austin (Onita) Schafrath of Navarre, Don (Vi) Schafrath of Lincoln, R.I., Ralph Schafrath of Miami Beach, Fla., William (Nancy) Schafrath and David (Wanda) Rohr, all of Wooster; two sisters, Catherine Moritz and Mary Kearney, both of Wooster; 23 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four stepdaughters and their spouses, Rosene Zaros of Monmouth Beach, N.J. Margaret and Otto Sovig of Fairplay, Colo., Nina and James Saltzman of Orrville and Elizabeth "Susie" and Larry Hughes of Doylestown; two stepsons and their spouses, Raymond "Bud" and Janice Maxwell of Marshallville and John and Karen Maxwell of Orrville; 14 step-grandchildren; 21 step-great-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Evelyn Margaret (Moritz) Schafrath, who died April 25, 1987.
Lou Reno
KILLBUCK -- Lou Dell (Judson) Reno, 86, of North Main Street, died Friday evening, March 24, 2000, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Killbuck Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Duncan officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Killbuck United Methodist Church, Killbuck 44637.
She was born Oct. 7, 1913 in Killbuck to Samuel and Grace (Seward) Lanham and married Holmes Judson on March 9, 1934. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1974. She then married Frank Reno on Oct. 7, 1984 and he died Feb. 24, 1991.
Surviving are a son, David and his wife, Nancy Judson of Killbuck; grandson, Mike and his wife, Tammy Judson of Killbuck and grandson, Kirk and his wife, Dusty Judson of Millersburg and five great-grandchildren.
Carl Buchwalter
DALTON -- Carl E. Buchwalter, 91, of Dalton, died Sunday, March 26, 2000, at his home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Dalton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Mike McHale officiating. Burial will be at Dalton Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton, or one hour prior to the services at the church.

He was born Feb. 10, 1909 in Dalton to Daniel W. and Martha (Eschliman) Buchwalter and married Audrey W. Willour on March 31, 1934. She died in 1991.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Rosemary Buchwalter of Wooster; a son-in-law David Rettinger and his wife, Mary, of San Jose, Calif.; grandchildren and their spouses, Larry and Laurel Strasbaugh of Dalton, Carl and Laura Rettinger of Folsom, Calif., Sarah Rettinger of Santa Barbara, Calif., David and Sherry Frambes of Wooster, Melanie Howard of Dalton, Mary Lisa and Terry Eubanks of Apple Creek and Rita and Bill Henderson of Marshallville; 12 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vanita Hazel of Wooster and Evelyn (Russell) Geiser of Marshallville.
