Les Arnold
CANTON -- Les Arnold, 82, of Canton, died Saturday, April 1, 2000.
He was the brother and brother-in-law of Beverly and the Rev. O.J. Thompson of Smithville.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home, 705 Raff Road, SW, Canton, with the Rev. O.J Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 6:45.
Other survivors include his wife, Margaret "Peg" Arnold; children, Joann Whetzel, Ralph and Gary Arnold; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 13 nieces and nephews.

Lillian Wagner
WOOSTER -- Lillian Wagner, 93, formerly of 840 W. Liberty St., died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
She was born Aug. 6, 1906 in Columbus to Charles and Neva (Riblett) Kipp and was adopted at the age of 2 by Charles and Carrie Shopbell. She married Lloyd Wagner on Sept. 29, 1928. He died March 19, 1984.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Samuel C. and Shirley Wagner and Barbara and Larry Yates, all of Wooster; and grandchildren, Samuel N. Wagner of Sarasota, Fla., Daniel and Dawn Wagner and Timothy Yates, all of Wooster, Julie (Yates) and Steven Arnold and Merribeth (Yates) and Michael Carpenter, all of Twinsburg.

Marie Keil
WOOSTER -- Marie Jenkins Keil, 84, 2635 Taylor Drive, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Glendora Health Care Center.
Memorial services will be Saturday, May 6, at 7 p.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, with the Rev. Dr. James Christensen officiating. There will be a private burial.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Homes Inc., 927 E. Henry St., Wooster 44691.
She was born March 25, 1916 in St. Louis, Mo., to Henry and Mary (Becker) Normann.
Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Leo Keil, whom she married Jan. 12, 1991; children, Karen Boucek and her husband, Robert, of Charlotte, N.C., David Jenkins of Holland, Mich., and Anne Jenkins Perry and her husband, Tom, of Rochester, N.Y.; stepchildren and their spouses, Mary Ann and John Ahart of Pasadena, Calif., and Allen Eugene and Lucy Keil of Bowling Green; nine grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Mitchell of St. Louis, Mo.

Olive Mumaw
ASHLAND -- Olive E. Mumaw, 87, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a short illness.
She was the mother of Amy Lutz of Wooster.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Heyl Funeral Home in Ashland, with the Rev. Donald Earlenbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the 3rd Brethren Church.
She was born Sept. 5, 1912 in Bellevue to Lewis and Tessia Ritz and married Amos Mumaw. He died previously.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, David Mumaw, Richard and Linda Mumaw and Candace "Candy" and Dennis Finley, all of Ashland, Diana and Jim Greenawald of Wyoming, Mich., and Becky Smith and Bob Bikar of Lexington; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Myrtle Grant
WOOSTER -- Myrtle Grant, 86, died Saturday, April 1, 2000, at Horn Nursing Home, Wooster.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
She was born Jan. 25, 1914 in Wooster to Clarence and Della Clouse and married Louis Grant. He died previously.
Surviving are sisters, Belle Kersten and Helen Brown, both of Wooster and Louella Warner of Akron; a brother, Wayne Clouse of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.

Fred Wenger
GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. -- Fred Y. Wenger, 84, 1438 DeNada, formerly of Niles, Mich., died Friday, March 17, 2000, at St. Mary's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz.
He was the brother of Anna Jean Duvall of Orrville.
Services were held Monday, March 20. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Presbyterian Church, Green Valley, Ariz.; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born in 1915 in Orrville to Fred M. and Christine (Yoder) Wenger.
Other survivors include his wife of 64 years, Helen Wenger; sons and their spouses, Tom and Debra Wenger of San Jose, Calif., and Mike and Joyce Wenger of Fairfax Station, Va.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Kay Geitgey of Winter Haven, Fla.

Ruth Limbach
DALTON -- Ruth E. Limbach, 78, of Dalton, died Sunday, April 2, 2000, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Stanwood Community Church, with the Rev. Jon L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in West Lebanon.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship of Christian Released Time Ministries, 5722 Lime Ave., Long Beach, Calif. 90805.
She was born Feb. 14, 1922 in Akron to Franklin and Clara Ethel (Nance) Overholt and married Ernest Limbach on March 13, 1948. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Roger Limbach of Taylor, Mich., Joyce Mori of Dalton and Terry Limbach of Navarre; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Wayman (Evelyn) Powell and Ailene Sclara, both of Florida, Mrs. Galen (Lillian) Whited of Akron and Mrs. John (Beatrice) Holman of Stone Mountain, Ga.; and brothers, Paul Overholt of Akron, Alfred Overholt of California, Gerald Overholt of Toledo and Edward Overholt of New Philadelphia.

Nancy Kelley
RITTMAN -- Nancy Kelley, 53, 85 Hillcrest Drive, died Monday morning, April 3, 2000, at her home.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Ambassador Baptist Church in Wadsworth, with Pastor Jerry Hackworth officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-9 at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Dec. 21, 1946, in Prichard, W.Va., to Fred and Oriole (Pickens) Ellis and married George R. Kelley on April 9, 1964. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Michael Kelley of Rittman and Lesa Kelley of Wooster; two grandchildren; brothers, Joe Ellis of Warsaw and Clifford Ellis of Parchment, Mich.; and sisters, Faye Murray, Hannah Massie and Donna Ellis, all of Rittman.

Ruth Anderson
SUNBURY -- Ruth E. Anderson, 68, of Sunbury, formerly of Marengo, died Friday evening, March 31, 2000, at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Debbie and Robert Lepley and Tuana and Vernon Wilson, all of Millersburg and Cindy and Mark Kelley of Walnut Creek.
Services were held Monday, April 3, at DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home in Sunbury. Pastor Daniel Burris officiated. Burial was at Marengo Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ruth's Club House, in care of R.C. Ministries, 830 State Route 61, Sunbury 43074.
She was born May 5, 1931 in Cattlesburg, W.Va., to Jesse and Martha (Ross) Scarberry and married Robert L. Anderson. He died previously.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Brenda and Ken Kelley of Hamilton, Mich., Robert and Lolla Anderson of Columbus, Jeff and Brenda Anderson of Cardington and Paul and Twana Anderson of Marion; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Scarberry of Seminole, Fla.; a sister, Zorrita Caudill of Columbus; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Erwin Frias
WOOSTER -- Erwin D. "Ed" Frias, 80, 905 Portage Road, Apt. 78, entered into rest Monday morning, April 3, 2000, at his daughter's residence in Wooster, surrounded by his loving family.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster. Private burial of the cremains will be held at a later date.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church Renovation Fund, 527 Beall Ave., Wooster; Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691; or Brenn-Field Nursing Center Activity Department, 1980 Lynn Drive, Orrville 44667.
He was born Oct. 20, 1919 in Meridian, Calif., to Alphonso and Neva (Greene) Hutchins Frias and married Delia A. Cunningham. She survives.
Surviving are his wife of Portland, Ore.; children and their spouses, Stephen T. Frias of Portland, Ore., Anthony A. and Danicia Frias of Bristo, Va., and Vickie and William Hilton of Wooster; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Lee (Dodie) Crawford of Reno, Nev.; and many nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by many dear friends.

Douglas Pickett
KELSO, Tenn. -- Douglas L. Pickett, 60, 73 Corders Crossroads, died Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at Lincoln Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Tenn., after an apparent heart attack.
He was the nephew of Lavonia (Copeland) Flickinger of Wooster.
He was born to Lawrence F. and Annie B. (Copeland) Pickett.
Other survivors include his mother and a brother, Gary Pickett, both of Kelso, Tenn.; a sister, Faye Golden of Fayetteville, Tenn.; and a niece, a nephew, an aunt of Akron and several cousins.
His wife, Roseland (Perry) Pickett, died previously.

Lucille Austen
WOOSTER -- Lucille Austen, 89, 1548 Hawthorne Drive, died Monday, April 3, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make contributions to Wayne County Care Center Auxiliary, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Oct. 25, 1910 in Holmesville to Sylvester and Eudora May (McBroom) Nowels and married Robert Austen on Sept. 17, 1952. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband, is a half-sister, Patsy Stump of Barberton.

Erwin Frias

SHREVE -- John R. Eason, 47, 275 S. Main St., died Tuesday, April 4, 2000.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, with the Rev. Bob Kuntz officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Shreve Emergency Medical Service, 150 W. McConkey St., Shreve 44676.
He was born Oct. 14, 1952 in Wooster to Richard and Faye (Westfall) Eason.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen (Whitt) Eason, whom he married Sept. 23, 1995; a stepson, Kevin Brooks of the home; a brother, Otis K. Eason of Wooster; and sisters and their spouses, Carol and Zane Black and Sandy Anderson, all of Shreve, Deborah and Harrison Murphy of Lakeville and Susan and Jack Davis of Nashville.

S. James Hastings
BIG PRAIRIE -- S. James Hastings, 69, 12785 County Road 330, died Monday, April 3, 2000, after an apparent heart attack.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Ripley Church of Christ, with the Rev. Ken Mulpas officiating. Burial will be at Ripley Cemetery, Big Prairie.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hastings College Scholarship Fund, Monitor Bank, 13210 State Route 226 Big Prairie 44611. The scholarship would be awarded to a West Holmes High School graduate, to fund his/her college education.
Hastings was born Sept. 29, 1930, on the family farm in Holmes County to Sidney James and Hazel Hope (Alexander) Hastings. He married Lucille L. Hastings of Big Prairie on Aug. 3, 1957. She survives.
He was also the father of Sidney Hastings of Gurnee, Ill., and Joel Hastings of Seattle, Wash.

F. Fern Howell
ORRVILLE -- F. Fern Howell, 95, formerly of Orrville, died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Copley Health Care Center.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Revs. Dennis Rinehart and Lowell Gerber officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 1556 Rex Drive, Orrville 44667.
She was born Nov. 15, 1904 in Maysville to Louis and Emma (Fisher) Sauvain.
Surviving are a son, Rodger Mock and his wife, Helen, of Akron; a son-in-law, Ross Armstrong of Bedford, Texas; three granddaughters; two step-grandsons; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Marlo H. Mock, DDS, died in 1932. They were married in June 1931. Her second husband, Carl H. Howell, died previously. They were married in May 1937.

Wanda Soles
RITTMAN -- Wanda G. Soles, 68, 1398 County Road 175, died Tuesday morning, April 4, 2000, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home in Ashland, with the Rev. Michael Namy officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests, contributions be made to Ashland Fire Department Training Fund, 274 Cleveland Ave., Ashland 44805; or to Jeromesville Volunteer Fire Department.
She was born Nov. 8, 1931 in Mansfield to Walter E. and Hilda (Kaylor) Davis and married Paul J. Soles on July 10, 1948. He died May 29, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Brent E. Soles and his wife, Christine D., of Rowsburg; grandchildren, James, Emily and Paul; great-grandchildren, Amber and James; a sister, Florence Brunson and her husband, Delbert, of Independence, Mo.; and brothers and their spouses, Ephraim K. and Joan Davis of Mansfield and Walter E. and Jean Davis of Cambria, Calif.
