LOUDONVILLE -- Effie Elizabeth Stewart, 82, 316 E. Main St., died Wednesday morning, April 19, 2000, at Colonial Health Care Center in Loudonville.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. The Rev. Daniel Mettler will officiate. Burial will be at East Avenue Cemetery, New Philadelphia.
Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, handled the local arrangements.
She was born May 7, 1917 in New Philadelphia to Charles and Hazel (Erwin) Herron and married Robert D. Stewart on May 25, 1946. He died March 9, 2000.
Surviving are a son, Robert Stewart and his wife, Shirley, grandchildren, Becky Stewart and Bobby "Bumper" Stewart, and a sister-in-law, Betty Heyser, all of Loudonville.
Mary Harding
WOOSTER -- Mary E. Harding, 93, 327 W. Larwill St., died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Claude McComas officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
She was born March 30, 1907 in Wooster Township to Thurman and Florence (Wagner) Fouch and married Robert L. Harding on July 16, 1950. He survives.
Other survivors include a grandchild; two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Lillian Grosjean of Shreve.
Joel Weiner
FREDERICKSBURG -- Joel H. Weiner, 38, 220 E. Clay St., died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Private family memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Kankakee Memorial Gardens, Kankakee, Ill.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.

He was born Nov. 18, 1961 in Kankakee, Ill., to Arthur and Evelyn (Treece) Weiner.
Surviving are his mother of Fredericksburg; sisters, Cindy Weiner of San Rafael, Calif., and Mickey Weiner of Bay Harbor Island, Fla.; two uncles, one aunt and several cousins.
His father died in 1979.
Larry Smucker
KEY LARGO, Fla -- Larry L. Smucker, 54, of Key Largo, Fla., formerly of Orrville, made his transitional journey into the hereafter on Saturday, April 15, 2000, in Miami, Fla.

He was raised in Orrville.
Larry will be greatly missed by his children, Mindy Smucker and Jeremy Smucker, both of Killbuck; grandsons, Ryan and Chaz, both of Killbuck; his loving sister, Lana Chadwick of Naples, Fla.; an aunt and uncle, Ann and Werden Miller of Orrville; and his many friends and cousins.
His parents, Welker and Helen Smucker, formerly of Orrville, died previously.
Wayne Rus
MANSFIELD -- Wayne L. Rush, 81, 1225 Michael Drive, died Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at his home after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, with Pastor David Bates of Unity Freewill Baptist Church in Galion officiating. Burial will be at Lantz Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Aug. 11, 1918 in Mansfield to Orlo and Lottie (Camp) Rush and was married to Mildred Rush for 50 years. She died in January 1992. He then married Mary Whiteside on Feb. 6, 1993. She survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Charlotte and Roger Tupps, Wayne and Diann Rush Jr. and Roger and Ada Rush Sr., all of Mansfield and Wendy Lee and David Justice of Groveport; a stepdaughter, Mary Lee Jansen and her husband, William, of Ashland; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; step-granddaughters; brothers, Robert and Orie Rush, and sisters, Myrtle Simmers and Wilma Palmer, all of Mansfield; and his faithful dog, Buffy.

NORTH RIDGEVILLE -- Dorothy Helen Weaver, 83, of North Ridgeville, formerly of Creston, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at her home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston. Burial will be at Drakesburg Cemetery near Ravenna.

She was born Aug. 7, 1916 in Barberton to Glenn and Mamie (Barton) Halliwell and married Russell Weaver in 1934. He died Dec. 26, 1978.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Paul and Linda Weaver of Medina, Marty Sidwell of Glenville, W.Va., Linda and Rudy Kerr of North Ridgeville, Marie Harper of Seville and Dyanne Sustersic of Berea; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

LOUDONVILLE -- Ola L. Walker, 82, formerly of Riverside Drive, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

She was born Nov. 6, 1917 in East Union Township, Wayne County to Milton W. and Margaret (Sturgis) Rider and married Luther Walker. He died March 29, 1986.
Surviving are a brother, Milton Rider of South Yarmouth, Mass.; and a sister, Ruthella Smedley of Fredericksburg.
Eva Miller
WOOSTER -- Eva M. Groop Miller, 89, 645 Saybolt Ave., died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at the home of her daughter.

She was born Aug. 1, 1910 in Wooster to William and Frances (Hawk) Raudebaugh and married George N. Groop in 1929. He died n 1967. In 1972, she then married Albert Miller. He died in 1995.
Surviving are sons and their spouses, William Roger and Patricia Groop of West Long Branch, N.J., Richard E. and Kim Groop of Okemos, Mich., and Gary A. and Elizabeth Groop of South Toms River, N.J., and a daughter, Shirley Jean Shifferly and her companion, James Haas of Wooster; a stepson, Richard A. Miller and his wife, Sue, of Wooster; 20 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mabel Witschy
MARIETTA, Ga. -- Mabel Steele Witschy, 79, of Marietta, Ga., formerly of the Canton/Massillon area, died Thursday, April 20, 2000.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Wooster Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the graveside.

MARENGO -- Paul E. Cochran, 69, of Marengo, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 19, 2000, at Riverside Methodist Hospital, from complications following heart bypass surgery.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. J. Weston Jones officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Heights Cemetery, with the pallbearers being men from Emanuel Lutheran Church.

He was born Feb. 14, 1931 to Homer L. and Alma (Stevens) Cochran and married Barbara Jean Delauder on Sept. 19, 1978, in Green Camp. She survives.

CHATHAM -- Thomas C. Parsons, 72, of Chatham, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, at Lodi Community Hospital.

Walter Kaylor
NASHVILLE -- Walter E. Kaylor, 88, 105 S. Monroe St., died Good Friday morning, April 21, 2000, at Sunset Nursing Home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Nashville United Methodist Church with the Revs. Thomas Wallace and Dan Kirtlan officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.

He was born Oct. 14, 1911 at Kaylor Ridge to Charles Edward and Lucy (Knox) Kaylor. He married Ruth Giauque on Feb. 21, 1948 and they had just celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.

DOYLESTOWN -- Charles Gordon Underwood, 70, of Doylestown, died Thursday, April 20, 2000, after a nine month courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with Dr. David Tennant officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery. Military graveside services will be conducted.

BALTIC -- Berdella M. Zimmerman, 76, 9614 Hilltop Road S.W., died Friday, April 21, 2000, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a brief illness.

She was born Aug. 19, 1923 near Stonecreek to Earl and Melva (Mathias) Fisher and married Glenn Zimmerman on Oct. 22, 1955. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Lori Zimmerman of the home; a son, Keith (Deborah) Zimmerman of New Philadelphia and two grandchildren.

MILLERSBURG -- Elmer H. Beachy, 56, 4335 Township Road 369, died Friday, April 21, 2000 at Union Hospital in Dover, after an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. at the Beachy residence with Bishop Henry E. Mast officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery in Berlin Township, Holmes County.

He was born May 8, 1943 in Holmes County to Henry and Sarah (Schrock) Beachy and married Lucinda Miller on Nov. 5, 1964. She survives.
