WOOSTER -- Carmen J. Tomassetti, 87, 2546 Windsor Ave., died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 30, 1913, in Wooster, to Antonio and Marie (DiScipio) Tomassetti.
Surviving are his wife, Rose (Dellafave) Tomassetti, whom he married May 16, 1936 and to whom he had been married 65 1/2 years; two daughters, Mary (Ted) Maglio of Wooster and Teresa Tomassetti of Canton; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Concelia Dellafave of Wooster and a brother, James Tomassetti of Wooster.

James McDonough
COLUMBUS -- James Michael McDonough, 46, of 1683 Springhouse Lane, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Services of Christian burial will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 13, 1955, in Ironton, to Charles and Kathleen (Kinney) McDonough. He married Pamela White in September 1978. She survives.
Survivors include son, Matthew Shawn (Marie) McDonough of Rochester, N.Y.; parents, Merlin and Kathleen Haskins of Creston; wife, Pamela R. Pollard of Rochester, N.Y.; twin brother, Charles (Deborah) McDonough of Nashville; twin brother and sister, Shawn (Cindy) McDonough of Wooster and Sheila (John) Ewing of Bolivar and sisters, Jeannine Brooks of Wooster and Colleen McDonough of Wooster.

Lydia Miller
FREDERICKSBURG -- Lydia Ann Miller, 64, 8286 State Route 241, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following a short illness.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, 2001, at her home with Bishop Albert A. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the home. Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
She was born near Mount Hope on Aug. 15, 1937, to the late Abe M. and Mary (Miller) Miller.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Abe J.J. (Edna) Miller of the home; two brothers, Roy A. (Mary) Miller of Fredericksburg and Aden A. (Iva) Miller of Dundee; an aunt, Mrs. Andrew (Susie) Yoder of Millersburg; nine nieces; six nephews; 54 great nephews and nieces; three great-great nephews and nieces.

Hilda Wolbaugh
WOOSTER -- Hilda I. Wolbaugh, 84, 4130 Harvey Drive, died Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Smithville with the Rev. Dr. Theodore H. Rust officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Building Fund of St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 S. Summit St., Smithville 44677 in her memory.
She was born March 10, 1917, in Ashland County, to Carl E. and Dot Leone (Bowman) Kettering and married Robert E. Wolbaugh in 1939. He died May 4, 1988.
Surviving are daughters, Carol A. Baughman of Wooster and Janet L. Gabbard of Springfield and son and daughter-in-law, David E. and Lorinda Wolbaugh of Wooster and three grandchildren.

Albert McCracker
ASHLAND --Albert Junior McCracken, 77, formerly of 722 Davis St., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2001, at Lutheran Village of Ashland.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at First Christian Church in Ashland with Dr. Thomas C. Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery, where full military services will be conducted by the Ashland County Joint Veterans.
Friends may call Thursday from 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. at Van Hove Funeral Home, Ashland.
The family suggests memorial contributions to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.
He was born Nov. 5, 1923 in Ashland, to Albert McClellen and Alice N.M. (Gantz) McCracken and married Jean Leora Dessenberg on Aug. 23, 1941. She died Sept. 12, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Louise and Bill Callahan of Carmel, Ind. and Susan Carol and Mark Hamilton of Columbus; two sons and daughters-in-law, David L. and Barb McCracken of Richwood and Donald E. and Alyce McCracken of Ashland; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Ellwood and Donna McCracken of Woodsfield and a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Thomas Abram of Middlefield.

Lola Hutchison
SMITHVILLE --Lola Hutchison, 99, formerly of 157 Fairlawn St., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center, following a period of declining health. She had been a resident there since April 2000.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Smithville with the Rev. Dr. Theodore Rust officiating. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.

She was born Dec. 8, 1901, in Sugarcreek, to Alvin A. and Ellen (Shutt) Hostetler and married Virgil O. Hutchison in 1933. He died in 1960.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Robert (Martha E.) Junkin of Wooster; sons and daughter-in-law, James R. and Margaret Hutchison of Alma, Mich. and Jerrold H. Hutchison of Smithville; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Norman Snyder
SHREVE --Norman L. Snyder, 83, 621 N. Prospect St., died Tuesday morning, Oct. 30, 2001, at Horn Nursing Home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. William H. Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was born June 15, 1918, in Salem, to Warren and Ollie (Ickes) Snyder and stepmother, Pearl Snyder.
Surviving are his wife, Mary (Shifferly) Snyder, whom he married March 16, 1939; a son, Norman Snyder Jr. and his wife, Jean of Shreve; daughter, Betty and her husband, Thomas Chronister of Wooster; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two sisters, Hazel Zuercher and Lois Budd Smith, both of Wooster.

Anna Ebersole
AKRON -- Anna M. Ebersole, 93, of Akron, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2001, at Akron City Hospital, Akron.
There will be private graveside services at Smithville Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Cremation has taken place. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements.
She was born Feb. 13, 1908 in McKees Rocks, Pa., to William J. and Anna Marie (Sproal) Arnold. She married Paul D. Ebersole. He died in 1976.
She is survived by a brother-in-law, Homer L. (Margaret) Ebersole of Smithville; a sister-in-law, Alice Miller of Barberton and many nieces and nephews.

W. Cole McClelland
MILLERSBURG -- W. Cole McClelland, 78, of Millersburg, died Sunday evening, Oct. 28, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Millersburg with the Rev. Eldon Trubee officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Shriner's Crippled Children/Burns Fund, in care of Wooster Shrine Club, Earl Walker, treasurer, 3139 Burbank Road, Wooster 44691.
Military rites will be conducted by Melvin McClure American Legion Post 551 of Holmesville and Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7079.
He was born April 18, 1923, in Millersburg, and was the son of O.C. and Ella (Crawford) McClelland. On April 28, 1946, he married Vivian A. Giauque and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children and their spouses, Linda Bosley of Ocala, Fla., Charles O. and Barbara McClelland of Millersburg, Judith and Garry Shy of Euclid and Barry and Sue Hewit-Frey of Seville; seven grandchildren and a brother, Max McClelland of Millersburg.

Paul Lingler
DOVER -- Paul Edison Lingler, 84, Old Route 39, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Union Hill United Methodist Church in Sugarcreek with Pastor Richard Rothrock officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek and Thursday one hour prior to services at the church.
He was born July 8, 1917, in Sugarcreek, to Leo and Jennie Iola (Miller) Lingler and married Edith M. Ringley on Nov. 24, 1938. She died Feb. 13, 1994.
Surviving are a son, Dennis (Patricia) Lingler of Dover; two daughters, Mrs. Steven (Gwen) Latta of Escondido, Calif. and Mrs. Arthur (Paula) Cressy of Uniontown; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Alva "Hap" (Helen) Rigdway of New Philadelphia and Gladys Schrock of Clarkston, Mich.

David Yoder
MILLERSBURG -- David H. Yoder, 87, of Millersburg, died Monday afternoon, Oct. 29, 2001, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Roy Kline residence, 4190 Township Road 366, Millersburg, with Bishop Dwight Miller officiating. Burial will be at Beachy Cemetery, Mechanic Township.
Friends may call anytime at the Roy Kline residence.
Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
He was born Sept. 29, 1914, in Holmes County, and was the son of Henry and Maryann (Yoder) Yoder. On Dec. 5, 1940, he married Ada Borkholder. She died Dec. 10, 1968. On May 29, 1979, he married Edna Garber and she died June 14, 1999.
Surviving are four sons and their spouses, Floyd and Lydia Yoder of Killbuck, Willis and Anna Yoder of Sugarcreek, Roy and Emma Yoder of Fredericksburg and David and Nicki Yoder of Canton; a daughter, Laura and husband, Roy Kline of Millersburg; two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Jonas (Clara) Yoder of Mount Eaton and Mrs. Robby (Marie) Breen of Alabama; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Johnny (Martha) Mullet of Sugarcreek and Mrs. Willis (Mary) Kauffman of Illinois; a sister, Mrs. Sam (Lizzie) Miller of Millersburg; 35 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.

Eva Fair
WEST SALEM -- Eva D. Fair, 62, of West Salem, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with the Rev. Robert Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Congress Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691 or to Town & Country Rescue and Fire Department, P.O. Box 175, West Salem 44287.
She was born Aug. 6, 1939, in Cedarville, W.Va., to Len and Zela (McHenry) Moyers.
Surviving are her husband, Craig, whom she married Jan. 15, 1972; two daughters and son-in-law, Michele and William Reed of West Salem and Marsha Fair and fiance, Brian Lorentz; two grandchildren, Seth and Kaylee Reed; a brother, Brant Moyers of Cleveland and a sister, Brenda Stump of Wellington.

E. Marie Shie
SMITHVILLE -- E. Marie Shie, 84, formerly of 6470 Akron Road, died Saturday evening, Oct. 27, 2001, at West View Manor, Wooster.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Guy Buch officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.

She was born May 8, 1917, in Orrville to Orville and Ellen (Hartzler) Snyder and married Richard B. Shie on Jan. 3, 1945. He died Jan. 14, 2000.
Surviving are children, Larry Shie and Sherry Weiser, James (Lynda) Shie and Susan Shie and James Acord, all of Wooster, and Debra (John) Ondrik of Rittman; nine grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Floyd and Lester Snyder, both of Orrville.

John Buren Jr.
LOUDONVILLE -- John "Ed" Buren Jr., 35, of Loudonville died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Ohio State University Medical Center after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Gerald Cain officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests contributions be made to the John Buren Memorial Fund in care of First Merit Bank, Loudonville.
He was born Oct. 13, 1966, in Millersburg.
Surviving are his parents, Valerie (Lynne) and Lester Leckrone of Loudonville and John (Robin) Buren of Killbuck; sisters, Jodi (Tony) Martin of Perrysville and Misty (Reid) Bell of Ashland; brothers, Doug (Jeanne) Leckrone and Dave (Jerrilynn) Leckrone, both of Loudonville, Wes Buren of Missouri and Jamie Wolfe of Columbus; a niece, Danielle Leckrone and a nephew, Justin Martin; and paternal grandparents, James Buren and Lanie Buren, both of Killbuck.

Albert Lovell
KILLBUCK -- Albert Raymond Lovell, 88, of Killbuck, died Saturday evening, Oct. 27, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Frank Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville.

He was born Dec. 25, 1912, in Radford, Va., to William and Thomas A. (Phleger) Lovell and married Nora Mae Baker on Dec. 18, 1940. She died Oct. 10, 1989.
Surviving are children, Addie (John) Ford of Holmesville, Dorothy (Ivan) Miller of Fredericksburg, Elizabeth Jean Jenkins of Millersburg, Elbert Raymond Lovell of Canton, Betty Sue (Max) Gooding of Glenmont and Chris (Bob) Burkey of Killbuck; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Lydia Geiser
ORRVILLE -- Lydia M. Geiser, 85, 142 N. Linden Ave., died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Orrville, with the Revs. Ramsey Wallace and Ralph Pfahler officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 6-9 at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Mission Fund, 300 S. Walnut St., Orrville 44667.
She was born Dec. 17, 1915, near Kidron to Daniel and Caroline (Nussbaum) Falb and married Donald L. Geiser on July 29, 1937. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Ken (Jackie) Geiser of Winter Haven, Fla., Ronald (LaVera) Geiser of Kidron, Carolyn (Ralph) Keplar of Orrville and Marilyn (Jim) Scott of Jacksonville, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Viola Hershberger and Aldine Falb, both of Orrville.

Paul Lengacher
CRESTON -- Paul E. Lengacher, 70, 3460 E. Steiner Road, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital, after suffering a stroke on Monday.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Revs. Donald Kuntz and Douglas Wantz officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Canaan United Methodist Church, in care of Goldia Stoll, 12141 Canaan Center Road, Creston 44217.
He was born March 18, 1931, in Sardis to John and Henrietta (Bruny) Lengacher and married Opal J. Miller on April 9, 1950. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Bill (Jane) Lengacher of Medina, David (Linda) Lengacher of West Salem, Roger (Vickie) Lengacher of Creston and Karen (Millard) Shrock of Orrville; nine grandchildren; and sisters Audrey (Virgil) Roth of Doylestown and Shirley Norris of Rittman.

Keegan Starr
DOYLESTOWN -- Keegan Starr, 17, of Doylestown, passed on to the next life on Friday, Oct. 26, 2001.
Services will be Tuesday at 5 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Doylestown, with pastor Stephen Kummernuss officiating. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Monroe County.
Friends may call Monday from 5-9 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, or one hour prior to services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Keegan Starr Memorial Marching Band Scholarship Fund, 3866 Brecksville Road, Richfield 44286.
Surviving are his parents, Gary and Stephanie Starr, and a brother, Kasey Starr, all of Doylestown; grandmothers Doris Starr of Wadsworth and Shirley Hawkins of Beaufort, S.C.; and aunts and uncles Karen and Don Harbert of Norton, Cindy and Richard Starr of Akron and Pamela and Anthony Pesavento of Beaufort, S.C.

Donald Gordon
SEVILLE -- Donald A. Gordon, 75, of Seville, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at Medina General Hospital, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Armstrong-Waite Funeral Home in Seville, with the Rev. Jim Duty officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born in Medina to Richard and Ethel Gordon and was married to Nada Gordon for 54 years. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Terry (Linda) Gordon of Chippewa Lake; two grandchildren; sisters Janice (Jessie) Millner and Louise Hahn, both of Fort Myers, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
