DALTON -- Edna M. Kandel, 79, of Dalton, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1999, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at East Union Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Todd Martin and Leonard Wenger officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

She was born May 18, 1920 in Holmes County to Joe and Mary (Hochstetler) Mast and married Eli W. Kandel on Oct. 22, 1939. He died in 1989.
Surviving are children and their spouses, Marvin and Esther Kandel, LeRoy and Martha Kandel, Norman and Janice Kandel and Patricia and Carl Phillips, all of Dalton, Mary and Clayton Lehman of Mount Eaton and Arlene and Willie Brubaker of Orrville; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sisters and their spouses, Mary and Paul Kandel and Sarah and Al Swartzentruber, both of Dalton, Beaulah and Albert Miller of Millersburg, Amanda and Vernon Kandel of Fredericktown and Alma Hershberger of Apple Creek.
Donald Bickel
MILLERSBURG -- Donald Alvin Bickel, 72, of Millersburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 1999. He will be missed by family and friends.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Faith Bible Church, with Pastor Mark Rohrer officiating. Burial will be at Sheplar Church Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 21, 1927 in Tuscarawas County to William A. and Clara Mae (Cox) Bickel and married Ruth Lorinda Mellor on Aug. 19, 1946. She survives.

Cynthia Boulton
WOOSTER -- Cynthia Boulton, 98, formerly of 927 McKinley St., died Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at West View Manor Nursing Home, Wooster.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Claude L. McComas officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.

She was born March 28, 1901 in Gilstrap, Ky., to Joseph and Drucilla (Snodgrass) Butler.
Surviving are children Audley White and and his wife, Patricia, of Wooster and Wilma Howell of Millersburg; stepchildren, Leroy Boulton Jr. of Dalton and Mrs. Paul (Ginny) Huff of Wooster; numerous grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, great- and step-great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Wiley Butler of Morgantown, Ky.; and sisters, Mrs. Pete (Lennie) Martinelli and Mrs. James (Ruby) McVicar, both of Wooster.
Her husbands, Henry White and Leroy Boulton, died previously.
Esther Wolbaugh
WOOSTER -- Esther J. Wolbaugh, 79, 225 Winkler Drive, died Tuesday morning, Aug. 10, 1999, in the critical care unit at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Gary W. Pettyjohn officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

Steven Kopina
MANSFIELD -- Steven L. Kopina, 31, 679 Mansfield-Washington Road, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 7, 1999, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
A Funeral Mass was held this morning (Wednesday) at 10:30 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, with Father Dan Frazier as celebrant. Burial was at Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Andrew Kopina of the home; his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Jim Burky of Galion; his father and stepmother, Albert and Tammy Kopina of Wooster; half-brothers, Matthew and Joseph Ryan Kopina; a half-sister, Allyson Kopina; maternal grandparents, Jennie and William Reale of Mansfield; paternal grandmother, Patricia Ernster and her husband, Donald of Lexington; paternal grandfather, William Kopina; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Annita Smith.
Mattie Hershberger
DUNDEE -- Mattie Hershberger, 89, 11031 Chestnut Ridge Road, died early Sunday morning, Aug. 8, 1999, at her home after a brief illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Jacob Keim officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Family Cemetery, Wayne Township, Tuscarawas County.

She was born Sept. 27, 1909 in Holmes County to David and Sarah (Miller) Kurtz and married Abe L. Hershberger on Dec. 18, 1930. He died Sept. 23, 1976.
Surviving are children, Dan Hershberger of Fredericksburg, Eli and David Hershberger and Mrs. Jacob J.J. (Mary) Miller, all of Dundee, Abe Hershberger Jr., Fannie and Sarah Hershberger, all of the home and Levi Hershberger of Wilmot; 31 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. David (Nettie) Raber of Sugarcreek; a brother, Dan Kurtz of Dundee; a stepsister, Mrs. Eli (Katie) Mast of Millersburg; and a stepbrother, Dan Troyer of West Union.

MILLERSBURG -- Mary Elaine Snyder, 54, 5348 Township Road 321, died Sunday morning, Aug. 8, 1999, at Cleveland Clinic.

She was born Sept. 11, 1944 in Lorain, Lorain County, to John C. and Mary Ann (Petrovich) Evanoff and married Thomas L. Snyder on July 26, 1969. He survives.
Other survivors include her father, former West Holmes Superintendent John C. Evanoff of Millersburg; a brother, John C. Evanoff Jr. and his wife, Kelly, of Swanton; a brother-in-law, Bob White of Millersburg; and nieces, Jennifer Snyder-Wilson of Millersburg and Jean Snyder of Albany.
Carl Tinsler
MARSHALLVILLE -- Carl I. Tinsler, 88, 10369 Fulton Road, died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at his home after a long illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Crown Hill Mennonite Church near Rittman, with the Revs. Richard Ross and Jerry Burton officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Church Cemetery.

KILLBUCK --ÊBradley Dale McClain, 28, 39120 County Road 19, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at River View Community Park in Warsaw.

WOOSTER -- Ida Mae Uhler, 94, formerly of 929 W. Liberty St., died Saturday morning, Aug. 7, 1999, at West View Manor.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Paul Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be at Eight Square Cemetery.

WOOSTER -- Jo Ann Hayes, 87, formerly of 311 E. South St., Wooster, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 4, 1999, at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster, where she had resided since July 1998.
Private services will be held at the request of the family. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
Arrangements are being handled by Custer Funeral Home in Wooster.
She married John R. Hayes on Oct. 17, 1936 in Wooster. He died June 26, 1964.
Surviving are five brothers, Anthony "Tony" Jr., William and Ray Bursani, all of Wooster, Rudolph and Albert Bursani, both of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Zapponi of Orrville, Mrs. Thomas (Amy) Dulaney of Akron, Mrs. Harold (Rose) May and Lucille Coblentz, both of Wooster and many nieces and nephews.
Sarah Yoder
DALTON -- Sarah J. Yoder, 82, formerly of Zuercher Road, Dalton, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Alex Troyer residence, 6389 Zuercher Road, with Bishop Harry Weaver officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery, Paint Township, Wayne County.
Friends may call anytime after 4 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Troyer residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Dominic Giacomo
CANTON -- Dominic J. Giacomo, 62, of Canton, died Monday, Aug. 2, 1999, at Shady Lawn Nursing in Dalton.
Services were Thursday at 11 a.m. at Reed Funeral Home in Canton. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Massillon.
Surviving are three children, Ed, Steven and Kathy; his mother of Canton and a brother, Ron Giacomo of Wooster.
Roy Adams
LAKEWOOD - U.S. Army Retired Maj. Roy William Adams, 69, of Lakewood and formerly of Wooster, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at the Lakewood Hospital in Lakewood.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Mackey Hall on the College of Wooster campus with eulogist, Dr. R. Stanton Hales. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

He married Patricia Mae Shields on April 16, 1966. She died Dec. 28, 1994.
Surviving is a stepbrother, M. Keith Goodrich of Lake Forest, Ill.

WOOSTER -- John S. Keim, 89, of Wooster and formerly of West Salem, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband and childhood sweetheart, Carl A. Gasbarre Casper, on Aug. 18, 1991, whom she married in 1934 at St. Mary Catholic Church.

WEST LIBERTY -- Carl R. Schar, 94, of West Liberty, died Thursday, July 29, 1999, at Green Hills Care Center in West Liberty.

He married Lucille Conrad on Aug. 15, 1928. She died Aug. 9, 1993.

MILLERSBURG -- Melvin D. Yoder, 79, of Millersburg, died Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 3, 1999, at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Zion Conservative Mennonite Church, County Road 207, Benton. Burial will be at the Hochstetler Cemetery, Berlin Township.
