Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Daniel Legg officiating. Burial will be at Dundee Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 20, 1927, in Stark County, to Dwight and Elsie Miller.
Surviving are children, Cheryl (Donald) Weaver and David (Nancy) Smith, both of Dover, Diane Smith and John (Ronda) Smith, both of Dundee; four grandchildren; a great-grandson; a brother, Junior Miller of Bolivar; and a sister, Mildred Billeter of Canton.
Richard Sifread
SULLIVAN -- Richard H. Sifread, 78, of Sullivan, died Monday, July 16, 2001, at his home after a brief illness.
He was the uncle of Patricia (Ronald) Alexander of Polk and Joan (Ronald) Clevidence of Burbank.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with Pastor William Reyes officiating. Burial will be at Southview Cemetery in Sullivan.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Avon Lake, to Harry and Nellie (Dibble) Sifread.
Other survivors include two nieces and two nephews.

ASHLAND -- Sylvia Schodowski, 77, formerly of Smith Road, died early Saturday morning, July 14, 2001, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at King Road Alliance Church with the Rev. William J. Brown officiating. Burial will be at Reedsburg Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 27, 1923, in Wayne County, to Francis E. and Zilla V. (Swartz) Shoup and married Edward C. Schodowski on June 15, 1950. He died Jan. 19, 1974.
Surviving are many cousins including Nellie Stuller and Treva Pinnicks, both of Wooster.

DALTON -- Sarah E. Smith, 85, of Dalton and formerly of Lima, died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at the home of her son, Ronald Smith, following a brief illness.
A memorial visitation will be held tonight (Monday) from 7-9 p.m. at Valley View School, 15723 Hackett Road, near Kidron.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Siferd Funeral Home in Lima. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima.

MILLERSBURG -- Lucy A. McDowell, 80, 661 S. Monroe St., died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at her home.

Lucy was born Jan. 5, 1921, in Holmes County, to Horace and Sadie (Rinehart) Mohr and married Paul B. McDowell on Dec. 12, 1937. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1997.
Surviving are her children, Beverly (Bill) Wachtel of Nashville and Wayne (Cindy) McDowell of Millersburg; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Lyman Tucker
APPLE CREEK -- Lyman H. Tucker, 84, of Apple Creek, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at West View Manor Nursing Home in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton with the Rev. Ralph Dovenbarger officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery.

He was born in Burlington, N.C., on April 11, 1917, to Lyman A. and Nell (Lowber) Tucker. On Oct. 8, 1938, he married Rose W. Wilson. She died on May 22, 1996.
He is survived by nieces and nephews.

Gladys Robinson
NAVARRE -- Gladys D. Robinson, 96, of Navarre, died Saturday morning, July 14, 2001, at Massillon Community Hospital in Massillon, following a sudden illness.

She was born June 23, 1905 in Tuscarawas County and was the daughter of Lewis and Ellen (Olinger) Snyder. She married Roy Richard Robinson and he preceded her in death in 1970.
Surviving are a son, Kenneth Robinson of Navarre; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and a sister, Vera Smith of Newcomerstown.

PORT RICHEY, Fla. -- Ralph W. Bersch, 70, 7700 Ilex Drive and formerly of Wooster, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home. Wooster with the Rev. Alan Bevere officiating. Burial will be at East Union Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Wooster to Merle J. and Estella B. (Sigler) Bersch.

Mary McFadden
BUTLER -- Mary M. McFadden, 90, formerly of 3822 Hildebrant Road, died Thursday evening, July 12, 2001, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Wade Wolf officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.

She was born June 8, 1911, in Jelloway to Josephus and Maude (Hiner) Erwin and married Harry Virgil McFadden. He died in 1999.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Harry V. and Margaret McFadden of Tenstrike, Minn.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ray Erwin of Butler.
Ruth Smith
DOYLESTOWN -- Ruth C. Smith, 80, died Thursday, July 12, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
She was born July 8, 1921, in Summit County to Ralph and Helen (Prince) Hammel. She married Joseph C. Smith on March 17, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1989.
She is survived by sons Gordon Smith of Greenville, S.C., and Tom (Joann Bodurtha) Smith of Ashland, Va.; daughters Catherine "Katie" Smith of Doylestown and her fiance, Richard Miller, and Ann Frase of Smithville; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Edna Marie Bognar of Akron.
Funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m., at Doylestown United Methodist Church with the Rev. James H. Humphrey and the Rev. Lynn Garth officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

MILLERSBURG -- Robert W. Tinlin, 67, of Millersburg, died Tuesday morning, July 10, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Private funeral services will be held Friday with Pastor Charles Lunsford officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.

He was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Harlem Springs, and was the son of William J. and Marquerite (Algeo) Tinlin. On Sept. 7, 1956, he married Mary Ann Norman and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are four children and their spouses, Douglas and Pam Tinlin of Beaver, Pa., William and Susan Tinlin of Sugarcreek, Diane and Bob Pawley of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Rebecca and Brad Eppley of Millersburg; eight grandchildren; an aunt; and two cousins.
Dorothy Konkle
ROCHESTER, Minn. -- Dorothy C. (Callender) Konkle, 88, of Shorewood Commons and formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday morning, July 11, 2001, of heart failure, at her home.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Macken Colonial Chapel in Rochester, Minn., with the Rev. Elizabeth Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 18, 1913, in Painesville, and married Ward W. Konkle on July 18, 1931, in Painesville. He died Feb. 12, 1998.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia (John D.) Wade of Rochester, Minn.; sons, Ronald Konkle of Alamo, Calif. and Alan Konkle of Manakin-Sabot, Va.; four grandsons; six great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

She was born May 3, 1912, in Holmes County, to Albert and Mary Jane (Horn) Bell and married Jesse R. Snyder. He died previously.

A memorial service and burial will be conducted Sunday at 10 a.m. at Belvidere Mennonite Church Cemetery in Belvidere, Tenn. with Pastor Stephen Beachy officiating.

Private family services will be held with the Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery.
