Herpel Miller
WOOSTER -- Herpel L. Miller, 86, 4120 Swanson Blvd., died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Gary Polack officiating. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery in Ashland County.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where Masonic memorial services will be held at 6:45 p.m.
He was born Dec. 22, 1914, in Lakeville, to Wilson and Hetta (Metcalf) Miller and married Delma L. Warnes on Jan. 27, 1941. She died July 13, 2000.
Surviving are children, Mary Ann (James) Marty of Rittman, Janet (David) Shearer of Toledo and Edward (Carolyn) Miller of Lakeville; and grandchildren, Tanya Marty and Kimberly and Beth Miller.

Merlyn Baker
GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Merlyn L. Baker, 74, of Grants Pass, Ore., died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at Veterans Hospital in Cleveland.
He was the father of Shirley (Frank) Berry of West Salem.
Memorial services will be today (Thursday) at 1 at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with Ricky and Shirley Vank officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
He was born April 10, 1927, in Beverly, Ontario, Canada, to Charles and Olive (Calver) Baker.
Other survivors include children, Lawrence (Kathy) Baker and Bonnie (Dennis) Graham, both of California, Steven Baker and Paul (Barbara) Baker, both of Grants Pass, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brothers, Maurice and Harold Baker, and sisters, Thelma Steeves, Carmel Emerson and Shirley Vank, all of Canada.
His wife, Lorraine Baker, died in 1994.

Donald Moffett
JEROMESVILLE -- Donald Earl Moffett, 76, 2115 State Route 89, died Monday afternoon, July 2, 2001, at Samaritan Regional Health System.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial will be at Bethesda Cemetery, Green Township.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-9 at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 8:30.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.
He was born March 4, 1925, in Richland County, to Gaylord O. and Ella (Simmons) Moffett and married Mary Lou Baker on Dec. 2, 1950. She survives.
Other survivors include Larry (Rosie) Moffett of Loudonville, Mike (Shirley) Moffett and Debra (Karl) Burris, both of Ashland, Steve (Becky) Moffett of Jeromesville and Pam (Tony) Mowery of Perrysville; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Louise Moser
SEVILLE -- Louise K. Moser, 94, of Seville, died Tuesday morning, July 3, 2001, at Apostolic Christian Home.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seville, with the Rev. Gerald L. Keller officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, or one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 9282 Acme Road, Seville 44273.
She was born Oct. 16, 1906, in Monroe County, to Benjamin and Ida (Stalder) Hanzie and married George Moser. He died in 1979.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Ann Myers of Wadsworth; and several nieces and nephews.

Vicky Coleman
WOOSTER -- Vicky A. Coleman, 59, 311 E. South St., died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at her home.
There will be no services.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Friends who wish may make contributions to McIntire, Davis ∓ Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster 44691, to help defray funeral expenses.
She was born July 5, 1941, in Wooster, to Glenn and Martha Van Meter and married George Raymond Coleman II. He died in 1974.
Surviving are children, John E. (Susan) Barker of Apple Creek, Robert E. Barker of Wooster and George Raymond (Gretchen) Coleman III of Riceland; 10 grandchildren; and sisters, Alice Snodgrass, Ethel Nicholson, J.R. Ray, Bonnie Woodruff and Twila Short, all of Wooster.

Virginia Shinabarker
WOOSTER -- Virginia M. Shinabarker, 70, 1225 E. Highland Ave., died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at her home.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Central Christian Church in Wooster, with the Revs. David Stout and Jerry Murphy officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster; or to Central Christian Church, 407 N. Market St., Wooster 44691.
She was born July 23, 1930, in Millersburg, to Ralph and Mildred (Watson) McCluggage and married Robert Shinabarker on Dec. 12, 1953. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Terry (Michelle) Shinabarker of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Gary (Lori) Shinabarker of Bakersfield, Calif.; grandchildren, T. Collin Shinabarker and Cameron Scott Shinabarker; step-grandchildren, Jacquelyn and Danielle Shirey; a sister, Lula Hanna and brothers, John and Ralph McCluggage, all of Millersburg.

Jordan Fischer
WARSAW -- Jordan Reed Fischer, 13, 231 5th St., died Monday, July 2, 2001, at Children's Hospital in Columbus.
He is survived by relatives in the Wooster area.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastors Dan Barfell and Dairel Kaiser officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, or until time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to River View Community Park, P.O. Box 399, Warsaw 43844.
He was born Feb. 22, 1988, in Coshocton, to Nicholas S. and Patricia A. (Frazee) Fischer.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Adam Q. Fischer of Warsaw; maternal grandparents, Roscoe and Joyce Frazee of Mount Vernon and paternal grandparents, Jack and Patti (Fischer) Lewis of Warsaw; uncles, Ritch (Mary) Frazee of Mount Vernon and Gary (Michelle) Fischer of Warsaw; and cousins, Corey (Chrissie) Fischer, Jesse, Evan and Caleb Fischer, Evan Wright and Zachary Elson.

Kenneth Cohen
POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Kenneth B. Cohen, 78, of Pompano Beach, Fla., formerly of Wooster, died Monday, June 25, 2001.
He was born in Wooster to Morris and Eva Cohen.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Cohen, and two children.

Paul Trimble
DUNNELLON, Fla. -- Paul Lester Trimble, 79, of Dunnellon, Fla., formerly of Wooster, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2001, at his home. A native of Barbour County, W.Va., he moved to Florida from Wooster, 9 1/2 years ago.
Services will be this afternoon (Tuesday) at 1:30 at Parsons Memorial Church in Inglis, Fla., with the Rev. William Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Beverly Hills, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Gladys (Smalley) Trimble of Dunnellon, Fla.; children, Daniel (Kathy) Trimble, Donald (Joni) Trimble and Elaine (Carl) Wetz, all of Wooster; and a granddaughter, Ashley of Wooster.

Violet Zeigler
MARSHALLVILLE -- Violet J. Zeigler, 88, of East Market Street, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Karen Oehl officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Marshallville.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Marshallville United Methodist Church, 20 N. Main St., Marshallville 44645.
She was born March 19, 1913, in Wayne County, to Fred and Almeda (Brown) Ott and married Harvey D. Zeigler in 1938. He died Jan. 5, 1984.
Surviving are children, Joyce Butzer and Randall H. (Marles) Zeigler, both of Marshallville and Evelyn (Jerry) Bailey of Doylestown; grandchildren, Ross Butzer, Melina Judy Patrick, Cheryl and Jeff Bailey, Stephanie Hammitt and Laura Zeigler; great-grandchildren, Jessica, Amanda and Jacob Butzer, Connor, Zachary and Spencer Bailey; brothers, William (Jean) Ott of Jeromesville and Delbert Ott of Marshallville; and sisters, Maxine Pressler and Pauline (Clark) Bricker, both of Massillon.

Kenneth McClure
WOOSTER -- Kenneth E. McClure, 72, 4475 Congress Road, died Sunday, July 1, 2001, at Akron General Hospital, after a brief illness.
Private services will be held at a later date at Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh, Pa.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster is handling local arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hoops Addis: The American Driving Society Hoops-Addis Education Trust, P.O. Box 160, Metamora, Mich. 48455; or to Habitat for Humanity (Wayne County Branch), P.O. Box 874, Wooster 44691.
Ken was born June 23, 1929, in Greenville, to Harry and Hazel (Fellers) McClure.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Marjorie Lea (Perrin) McClure; children, Kevin McClure and Doug (Carrie) McClure, both of Wooster, Jeff (Beverly) McClure of Shreve and Amy (Geoff) Cordery of New Mexico; grandchildren, Erin, Aubrey, Lea, Daniel and Stephen McClure; a sister, Eileen Addington of Portland, Ind.; and a brother, Harry J. McClure of Greenville.

Josephine Divona
LOUDONVILLE -- Josephine Divona, 85, 747 S. Mount Vernon Ave., died Wednesday evening, June 27, 2001, at Samaritan Regional Health System, Ashland, after a long illness.
Funeral Mass will be Monday at 8 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Loudonville, with the Rev. Kevin Conroy officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, is handling the arrangements.

Louise Althaus
WOOSTER -- Louise Elizabeth Althaus, 90, of Honeytown Road, Wooster, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was born April 25, 1911, in Monroe County to Adolph and Emma Baughman. She married Otto Althaus on March 10, 1930. He died in 1963.
Surviving are a daughter, Cora (Willard) Daiber of Smithville; grandchildren Roy Daiber of Wooster, Paul Daiber of Shreve and Linda Karla of Parma; and one great-grandchild.

Emily Amstutz
SHREVE -- Emily R. Amstutz, 19, 5293 Kister Road, died Saturday, June 30, 2001, at her residence.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with pastor Paul Donihue officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 and to Roberts Funeral Home, P.O. Box 761, Wooster 44691 to help defray expenses.
She was born Sept. 28, 1981, in Wooster to Gary and Gail (Morris) Amstutz. She was engaged to Emmett Chappell.
Surviving in addition to her fiance of Wooster are her parents of Shreve; a sister, Holly (Mike) Morris; and a brother, Steven (Sherri) Amstutz.

Marion Anderson
JACKSONVILLE, Ark. -- Marion A. Anderson, 88, formerly of East University Street, Wooster, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, in Jacksonville, Ark.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Ermon French officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born March 28, 1913, in Mount Vernon to Walter Elwayne and Nellie (Roberts) Shriver and married Chester J. Anderson on Dec. 21, 1941. He died Jan. 17, 1990.
Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law David L. Anderson and Timothy B. and Linda L. Anderson, all of Jacksonville, Ark.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Shriver of Mims, Fla.

Roy Collmar
COPLEY -- Roy Lee "Pap" Collmar, 77, died Friday, June 29, 2001, at the Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, state Route 93, Canal Fulton, with Pastor Robert Webb officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born May 25, 1924, in Star City. W.Va., to Gotleiub and Freda Collmar.
Surviving are daughters Linda (Larry) Ellis of Wooster and Cindy Roxbury of Cuyahoga Falls; sons Buddy Lee Collmar of Barberton and Bradlee Collmar of West Lafayette; stepchildren John Knight of Peoria, Ariz., and Linda Geiser of Marshallville; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Sharier of Coshocton.

Mary Egbert
WOOSTER -- Mary Jane Egbert, 95, 2617 Monterey St., died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. William Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Aug. 16, 1905, in Wooster to Gust and Mary Ann (Hunter) Harvey.
Surviving are a daughter, Dorothy Meadows of Akron; a son, Donald Ray Egbert of Wooster; and grandchildren Kevin and Mark Furr.

Elizabeth Froelich
BEACH CITY -- Elizabeth Naomi Froelich, 85, of Beach City, died early Saturday morning, June 30, 2001, at Massillon Community Hospital, after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with the Rev. Joe Wright officiating. Cremation will follow and her ashes will be buried at Grandview Cemetery in Strasburg.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials be made to Hope Lodge, 11432 Mayfield Road, Cleveland 44106-2364.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Mount Healthy to Edward and Rosa Belle (Slemmer) Blaser.
She is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Robert (Jean) Widder of Beach City, Joy Young of Doylestown, Mrs. Harold (Jane) Kaser of Justus, Mrs. Bruce (Rosann) Witham of Beach City, Mrs. Jim (Rita) Mullet of Beach City and Mrs. Gerald (Robin) Mayhew of North Canton; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a twin sister, Ruth Scheibe, formerly of Wilmot.
