SHREVE -- Dale W. Kretchman, 69, 5554 S. Jefferson Road, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church of Wooster with the Rev. Michael Conklin officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Izaak Walton League, in care of Margaret Saurers, 4902 Emalene Drive, Wooster 44691 or to a charity of the donor's choice, in his memory.
He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Berrien Springs, Mich., to Frederick George and Ann (Ramlow) Kretchman.
Surviving are his wife, Glennyce Witt Kretchman; children, Saran Kretchman of Loveland, Colo., Fred Kretchman of Milford, N.H., Denice and Richard Mendenhall of Columbia, Mo. and Carl and Debra Kretchman of Corning, N.Y.; two grandchildren; a brother, Neal Kretchman of Cheboygan, Mich.

Robinson Fendrick
COLUMBUS -- Robinson Craig Fendrick, 15-day-old son of Lyle and Sherry (Bash) Fendrick of Columbus, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at the Children's Hospital in Columbus.
Graveside services will be today (Friday) at 10:30 at Sunnyside Cemetery, Glenmont, with Chaplain Steve Mahaffey officiating.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children's Hospital Foundation for the PICU, P.O. Box 16810, Columbus 43272-5117.
Surviving in addition to his parents are maternal grandmother, Joan Bash of Worthington; paternal grandparents, Craig and Karen Fendrick of Columbus; paternal great-grandfather, Dick Fendrick of Glenmont and numerous family and friends.

Clara Frazier
WOOSTER -- Clara Y. Frazier, 97, formerly of Portage Road, Wooster, and Martins Ferry, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at West View Manor Nursing Home, Wooster.
Services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with the Rev. J. William Lofgren officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery in Martins Ferry at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 2.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make contributions to the Wooster United Methodist Women Scholarship Fund, 243 N. Market St., Wooster 44691; or to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Dec. 18, 1903, in Birmingham, Ala., to Alfred M. and Tulliola (Howe) Yoe and married William Frazier on Dec. 22, 1923. He died in 1963.
Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, John and Beverly Frazier of St. Clairsville, William and Diamintina Frazier of Cyprus, George and Janet Frazier of Wheeling, W.Va., Robert and Patricia Frazier of Williamsburg, Va. and Frank and Ginny Frazier of Wooster; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Alta Ramsier
LODI -- Alta M. Ramsier, 85, of Lodi, died Thursday, June 28, 2001, at Life Care of Medina, where she had resided for the past 10 years.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with William Rankin officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
She was born July 1, 1915, in Marshallville, to Elmer and Nora (Hartel) Ryneer.
Surviving are a son, Donald (Edna) Kessler of Lodi; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters.

Betty Grosjean
FREDERICKSBURG -- Betty Jane (Conrad) Grosjean, 76, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Moreland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Stull officiating. Burial will be at Moreland Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg and one hour prior to services at the church on Sunday.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Moreland United Methodist Church Building Fund, 138 E. Moreland Road, Wooster 44691.
Betty was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Smithville, to Walter W. and Anna (Blough) Conrad. She married Lawrence E. Grosjean March 12, 1955. He died April 21, 2000.
Surviving are daughter, Linda Grosjean of Wooster; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Janie Grosjean of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren; brother, Karl L. Conrad of North Canton.

Joseph Boreman
ASHLAND -- Joseph R. Boreman, 79, of Ashland, died Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at Kingston of Ashland.
There will be no services.
Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi is handling arrangements.
He was born June 21, 1922, in Lodi, to Guy and Marie (Conrad) Boreman.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Patrick Harrison of Toledo and Esther and Denzil Walls of West Salem; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Sarah Boreman of Kentucky; five grandchildren; a sister, Loretta Boreman of Wellington; a brother, Paul Boreman of Blue Creek and his former wife, Barbara Boreman of Lodi.

Lois Rigsby
WOOSTER -- Lois A. Rigsby, 63, of Deer Creek Drive, passed away Wednesday morning, June 27, 2001, at her home, following a short courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Charles Abney officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 6-9 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or People to People Ministries, 454 E. Bowman St., Wooster 44691, in her memory.
She was born Oct. 24, 1937, in Thealka, Ky., to Ray and Elizabeth (Mollette) Colvin and married James Rigsby on Feb. 12, 1960. He died in 1984.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Michelle and Ronald Culbertson and Amy Renee and Jeff Sigler, all of Wooster; four grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Ray Short of Fairborne; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Betty Colvin of Illinois, Roy and Pat Colvin of Florida and Tom and Page Daniel of Kentucky and many nieces and nephews.

Nina Kieffaber
MILLERSBURG -- Nina L. Kieffaber, 89, of Millersburg, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday with the Rev. Welton Stein officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
There will be no calling hours.
Alexander Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
She was born Aug. 6, 1911, in Saltillo, and was the daughter of James and Mary (Marty) Hardin. On May 28, 1932, in Wheeling, W.Va., she married Jacob Kieffaber and he preceded her in death on July 6, 1989.
Surviving are a daughter, Faith C. Kieffaber of Charm; two grandchildren, Mrs. Darrell (Beverly) Raber of Berlin and Mrs. Ray (Barbara) Shanower; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Raber and Randy Shanower; a great-great-grandson, Brendan Shanower; sister-in-law, Mrs. Marie Hardin of Millersburg and many nieces and nephews.

Corrina Mihalic
LOUDONVILLE -- Corrina Lee Mihalic, daughter of Leoni Michelle Lachina and Christopher Anthony Mihalic, 436 N. Adams St., was stillborn Sunday evening, June 24, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Tom Long officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sisters, Casey Collins and Courtney Mihalic, both of Loudonville; her paternal grandparents, Joy and Fritz Niederhauser of Perrysville; her maternal grandparents, Sara Grace Watson and Kenneth and Penny Cash, all of New Albany, Ind.; her paternal great-grandmother, Mary Niederhauser of Rocky River and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Eugene Dawson
LOUDONVILLE -- Eugene Fenton "Tuck" Dawson, 100, formerly of 819 W. Main St., died Tuesday evening, June 26, 2001, at Colonial Manor Health Care, Loudonville, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry Ruther officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, 222 E. Main St., Loudonville 44842.
He was born Aug. 8, 1900, in Cadiz, Ky., to Eugene Fenton and Mary (McGraw) Dawson and married Florence Miller. She died in 1985.
Surviving are two sisters, Opal Woodward of Atlanta, Ga. and Margery Sumner of Memphis, Tenn. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn Hathaway
TONOPAH, Ariz. -- Marilyn Patricia (Snyder) Hathaway, died Tuesday, April 10, 2001, at her desert home in Tonopah, Ariz.
She was born in 1925 in Wooster to Mabel and Edgar Snyder.
According to her wishes there was no formal service or notice of her death.
Surviving are family and friends.

Travis Swartzentruber
HOLMESVILLE -- Travis James Swartzentruber, 15, of Holmesville, died Monday, June 25, 2001, in Venice Beach, Venice, Fla.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Mennonite Christian Assembly in Fredericksburg with Pastors Ben Raber and Jim Mullett officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church and also one hour prior to services on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Travis Swartzentruber Scholarship Fund, 8250 Township Road 561, Holmesville 44633.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
He was born March 9, 1986, in Millersburg, to Jim and Bonnie (Morgan) Swartzentruber.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a brother, Darren Swartzentruber of Ashland; several aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

Robert Leatherman
SAN DIEGO -- Robert B. Leatherman, 82, of San Diego, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001.
He was cremated and his ashes were scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
He born June 15, 1919, in Lodi, to Clayton and Nellie (Kean) Leatherman.
Surviving are brothers, Joseph F. Leatherman of Medina and Thomas E. Leatherman of Lodi and a sister, Margaret Hershberger of Lodi.

Lois Rigsby

ORRVILLE -- John H. Huntsberger, 94, 1980 Lynn Drive, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a lingering illness.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Revs. Barbara and John Lehman officiating. Burial will be at Martins Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or the I.W. Royer Scholarship Fund, in care of Orrville Mennonite Church, 1305 W. Market St., Orrville 44667.
He was born March 24, 1907, in Dalton, to Samuel M. and Ida Ellen (Metzler) Huntsberger and married Ruth A. Wenger on June 30, 1930 in Wheeling, W.Va. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Donovan J. (Gladys) Huntsberger and Maurice (Dora Lee) Huntsberger, both of Dalton; a daughter, Doris (Glenn) Zaugg of Orrville; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Arlene Jennings
DOYLESTOWN -- Arlene M. Jennings, 83, 13127 Coal Bank Road, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital in Wadsworth.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Orrville Christian Church with the Rev. Tom Ledford officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Medina County, 797 N. Court St., Medina 44256-2170 or to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Orrville, to Mark L. and Elsie (Kaiser) Murray and married Vernon Jennings on July 12, 1941. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children, Cynthia (Galen) Alpeter of North Canton and Laurence (Nancy) Jennings of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Loren (Nina) Murray of Wooster and a sister, Edna Dick of Brownsville, Ind.

Pearl Messner
WOOSTER -- Pearl F. Messner, 82, 319 Spring St., died Tuesday morning, June 26, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at East Union Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas J. McFadden officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.
She was born March 27, 1919, in Chester Township, Wayne County, to Neal and Ella (Daugherty) McAffee and married Stanley Messner on Nov. 10, 1937. He died in 1968.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Frank Henderson of Shreve; two sons, Donald Messner of Big Prairie and Dennis Messner of Wooster; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Bertha Tyson of Fredericksburg and many nieces and nephews.

Ethel Fetter
BIG PRAIRIE -- Ethel Lydia Fetter, 87, 12959 State Route 39, died Monday morning, June 25, 2001, at her residence, following an extended illness.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Nashville United Methodist Church with Pastors Kenneth Mansfield and Thomas Wallace officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or Nashville United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 399, Nashville 44661.
She was born Oct. 27, 1913, in Holmes County, and was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Walters) Williams. On Nov. 3, 1934, she married Russell M. Fetter and he preceded her in death May 1, 1990.
Surviving are a son, Arthur W. and wife, Janice Fetter of Chino Valley, Ariz.; foster son, Lee Smetzer of the home; two grandchildren; two step-great-grandsons; and a sister, Mrs. Robert L. (Perie) Iceman of Wooster.
