SHREVE -- Phillip J. Aylsworth, 59, of 8300 Aylsworth Road, died Friday morning, June 8, 2001, after a four-year courageous battle with cancer.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Shreve United Methodist Church with the Rev. William Lawson officiating. A burial ceremony for the family will be held at Newkirk Cemetery prior to the service.
Friends may call Sunday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home, Jones Street in Shreve, where Masonic services will take place at 8 p.m.

Phillip was born in Wooster to Donald and M. Grace Aylsworth on December 11, 1941 and married Betty Batdorf on February 5, 1972. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Diane of Phoenix, a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Melissa Aylsworth and a grandson, a sister and brother-in-law, L. Ann and Jerry Jones of Wooster and a brother and sister-in-law, D. Ellis and Cathy Aylsworth of Shreve.
Mary Winkler
RITTMAN -- Mary V. Winkler, 90, of Rittman, died Friday, June 8, 2001, at the Apostolic Christian Home.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman with the Rev. Ron Heasley officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.

She was born March 15, 1911 in Martins Ferry to James F. and Mary (Williams) Bumgardner and married Ben Winkler. He died in 1982.
Surviving are a son, Kerry (Linda) Winkler of Poulsbo, Wash.; daughters, Lynn Buttolph of Akron, and Cheryl (Bruce) McCoy of Doylestown; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and a sister, Coralie Ginkinger of Warren.

BRUNSWICK -- Clyde L. Shoup, 85, 364 Marks Road, and formerly of West Chestnut Street, Orrville, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, following a long period of declining health.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster on Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jerry Durham officiating. Burial will take place at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call at the Mausoleum Chapel on Monday one hour prior to the funeral service.

He was born Nov. 18, 1915, in Orrville, the son of Clyde L. and Alma (Webb) Shoup. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Beulah J. Shelt, his second wife, Vivian Martin.
He is survived by a daughter, Paula (Paul) Kulbaga of Valley City; stepdaughters, Penny (Jim) Bowers of Orrville and Ricky (Bill) Wentsch of Marshallville; stepson, Michael Foxx of Port Clinton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roy (June) Steele of Florida, Ronnie Steele of Dalton and Robert (Judy) Steele of Doylestown and sisters, Pauline Carter of Wooster and Marilyn Plant of East Greenville.
Stan-Lee Swanson
APPLE CREEK -- Stan-Lee Swanson, 17, 12732 Emerson Road, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at his home.
A memorial service will be Monday at 6:30 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating.

She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Wooster, to Jacob and Melissa (Jones) Bersch and married Melburn S. Yoder. He died June 14, 1980.
Surviving are sons, Robert Yoder of Waterford and Lynn Yoder of Orrville and a daughter, Mrs. Nathan (Julia) Johnson of Congress; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and a sister, Loretta Jones of Jeromesville.

WOOSTER -- Thelma H. Brown, 84, Wooster, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Heritage Park Nursing Home.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Moreland Cemetery with the Rev. Claude McComas officiating.

She was born Sept. 6, 1918, in Chester Township to Edward and Ina (Elliot) Brown.

COSHOCTON -- Clara B. Harmon, 68, 44427 County Road 27, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on County Road 16.

She was born July 14, 1932, in Holmes County to Charles and Alice (Shroyer) Pyers and married John C. Harmon on Oct. 15, 1950. He died April 13, 1999.

George Rohn
NAVARRE -- A Memorial Service will be held Monday, June 11, at 11 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery near Rittman for George L. Rohn, 77, of Navarre. He died Friday, April 20, 2001, at his home, after a long period of declining health. Cremation was handled by Cremation Society of Ohio at his request.

COTIA, N.Y. -- Jean Travelli Glenn, of Scotia, N.Y., and formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Glendale Nursing Home, where she had resided for 16 years.
She was born June 29, 1913, in Warren to Dr. Samuel M. and Eugenia (Wilford) Glenn.
Inurment will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Surviving is a sister, Marjorie Glenn Crowe of Delmar, N.Y.

CHARM -- Jonas J. Yoder, 84, 4432 County Road 70, died Thursday, June 7, 2001, at the Jacob J. Yoder residence following a brief illness.
Services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at the Jacob J. Yoder residence at 3755 Township Road 369, Millersburg, with Bishop Andy Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery in Berlin Township, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime after 2 p.m. today (Friday) at the residence.

He was born Feb. 2, 1917, in Holmes County to Jacob D. and Katie (Miller) Yoder and married Sarah Wengerd. She died Feb. 9, 1995.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Henry (Katie) Burkholder of Holmesville; two sons, Jacob J. (Mattie) Yoder of Millersburg and Joseph J. LOUDONVILLE -- V. Marie Schneider Graven, 90, 215 N. Market St., died Thursday morning, June 7, 2001, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry E. Ruther officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery at a later date.

She was born Feb. 14, 1911, in McZena to Charles and Carrie (Fulmer) Bernhard.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marianne Schneider of DeKalb, Ill.; her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bob Harris of Waterford, Mich., and Bonnie and Denny Weirick of Perrysville; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her husbands, Dick Schneider, who died in 1957, and John Graven, who died in 1994; three brothers, Charles, Karl and George Bernhard, and a sister, Kay Morrison.
Esther Heffelfinger
LOUDONVILLE -- Esther E. Heffelfinger, 96, formerly of 803 Mount Vernon Ave., died Thursday morning, June 7, 2001, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after a one week illness.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Loudonville, with the Rev. Terry E. Ruther officiating. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.

She was born June 3, 1905, in Washington Township, Holmes County, to Ed and Margaret (Sprang) Horn and married Alonzo Heffelfinger. He died April 20, 1973.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, David and Wilma Heffelfinger of Loudonville; her daughters and son-in-law, Vivian and Tom Wolf of Shreve and Sarah Slabaugh of Loudonville; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was born May 5, 1926, in Canton to Floyd and Mattie Turner.

She was the daughter of Ed and Nettie Starner.

Surviving are three stepsons, Dean (Joann) Troyer of Wooster, Paul Dean (Fern) Marner of Kalona, Iowa and Wallace Gene (Jan) Marner of Keasauqua, Iowa; five stepdaughters, Shirley Brown of Orrville, Mrs. Keith (Helen) Erb of Sun City, Ariz., Wilma Bender of Maumee, Mrs. Dan (Shirley) Lehman of Walnut Creek, Mrs. Lee (Kathryn) Swartzentruber of Glendale, Ariz; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and three nephews.
