Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Coleen) Schlagenhauf and Mrs. Myron (Twila) Troyer, both of Sugarcreek; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Evelyn Domer of Walnut Creek.

LAFAYETTE TOWNSHIP -- Leslie E. Gray, 83, of Lafayette Township, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. Floyd Costello officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.

He was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Berea to Marvin and Maybelle (Surrarrer) Gray and married Lynette Heazlit on Oct. 12, 1940. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Lenore) Packard of Lodi, Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Hatfield of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Sid (Lynne) Carter of Rittman; a son, Lewis Gray of Lodi; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and a brother, Howard (Vivian) Gray of Lodi.
Chester Stellar
CRESTON -- Chester F. Stellar, 77, 2503 E. Sterling Road, died Tuesday evening, June 5, 2001, at his home, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with Wilmer Ames and Rodger Shepherd officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery.

Russell Bethel
WALNUT CREEK -- Russell H. Bethel, 83, of Olde Pump St., and formerly of Canal Fulton, died Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home of Walnut Creek following a battle with progressive supranuclear palsy.
Memorial services will be Saturday, June 9, at 11 a.m. at the Millersburg United Methodist Church with Dr. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Burial will be in Lulu Falls Cemetery in Kingsville.

JEROMESVILLE -- Marshall L. Boyer, 59, 19 W. North St., died Friday afternoon, June 1, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville with the Rev. Melvin C. Browning officiating. Burial will be at the Jeromesville Cemetery.

He was born Sept. 21, 1941, near Hayesville to Mark and Anabell (Moffett) Boyer.

WOOSTER -- Nellie Busler, 82, 4400 Melrose Drive, Lot 67, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.

ASHLAND -- Martha M. Hawks, 92, of Hillcrest Drive died Friday, June 1, 2001, at the West View Manor Nursing Home in Wooster following a long illness.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Vermillion Cemetery in Hayesville with the Rev. George Johnson officiating.

She was born Sept. 28, 1908, in Holmes County to James and Irene Hudson and married Floyd Hawks. He died in 1996.
Surviving are a sister, Mary Ellen Hudson of Wooster, and nieces and nephews.

She was born April 5, 1905, in Fort Gay, W.Va., to Samuel and Myrtle (Clay) Welch and married Earl Killough. He died May 19, 1989.

Bea Sellner
STORRS, Conn. -- Beatrice Harger Sellner, 94, formerly of Loudonville, and of Oxford, Conn., died Wednesday, May 9, 2001, in Storrs, Conn.
Born February 19, 1907, she was the daughter of Edgar Burton and Olivette (Platt) Harger.
In 1933 she married William Sellner.
She is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Havholm of Wooster and Betsey Whitman of Framingham, Mass.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

PERRY TOWNSHIP -- David W. Matthews, 37, of Perry Township, died Thursday evening, May 31, 2001, at his residence, following a long illness.
Dave was born March 6, 1964 in Coshocton to William and Kathryn (Sommers) Matthews.
He is survived by his wife, Melanie (Bednar) Matthews of the residence, with whom he shared eight years of marriage on Oct. 24; daughters, Emily Matthews and Erica Matthews, both of the residence; his parents, William "Bill" and Kathryn (Sommers) Matthews of Massillon; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Rod Boester of Delaware; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Holly Matthews of Bolivar; his grandmother, Ila Sommers of Clark; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church in Massillon. His pastor, the Rev. John Telloni will officiate. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Memory Garden.

He died Sunday, May 13, 2001. He was buried at Andersonville National Cemetery in Andersonville, Ga.
He was born Feb. 10, 1932, in Lewisville, to Earl L. and Irene (Murvine) Hines.
He is survived by a son, Robert L. Hines of Millersburg; two grandchildren; his mother, Irene Hines of Millersburg; a sister, Gloria Karcher of Millersburg and three nieces and nephews.

ASHLAND -- Ralph H. Mutchler, 78, of Ashland, died Thursday, May 31, 2001, at his home, following an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Ashland Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Ivan Beatty officiating. Military graveside services will follow at Imhoff Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 7-9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at Ashland Church of the Nazarene.

He was born Feb. 4, 1923, in Loudonville, to Carl F. and Mabel (Peters) Mutchler and married Harriette Miller on Feb. 3, 1946. She survives.

Goldie Kelley
FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. -- Goldie Kelley, 93, a resident of Brightwood Center, Follansbee, W.Va., and formerly of New Milton, W.Va., died Friday, June 1, 2001 at Brightwood Center.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spurgeon Funeral Home, West Union, W.Va. with Pastor Alice Crawford officiating. Burial will be at Middle Island Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery in Doddridge County, W.Va.

RENO, Nev. -- Ruth Sykes Elmer, 87, of Reno, Nev. and formerly of Creston, died Thursday, May 31, 2001.
A memorial service will be held June 6 at St. John's Presbyterian Church in Reno, Nev. Burial will be Las Vegas.

She was born Dec. 8, 1913, in Creston, to Clarence and Addie Sykes and married John "Jack" Elmer on June 22, 1941. He died Nov. 29, 1967.
Surviving are a daughter, Sarah Britt of Reno, Nev.; two granddaughters; a sister, Betty Kiczek of West Salem; a brother, Raymond Sykes of Creston and nieces and nephews.
