MILLERSBURG -- Josey M. Miller, 56, 3750 Township Road 124, died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at his residence after a brief illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Leroy R. Miller officiating. Burial will be at the Miller family Cemetery, Mechanic Township, Holmes County.

He was born March 12, 1945, in Holmes County to Monroe J.S. and Annie (Miller) Miller.
Surviving are his wife, Emma (Miller) Miller, who he married Oct. 7, 1965; children, Mrs. Wayne (Naomi) Miller, Mrs. Steven (Susan) Yoder and Harvey (Anna Mae) Miller, all of Millersburg; seven grandchildren; his mother of Millersburg; brothers, Eli M. Miller of Fredericksburg, David M. and Wayne M. Miller, both of Millersburg, Junior M. Miller of Benton and Paul M. Miller of Baltic; and sisters, Mrs. Henry A. (Edna) Raber and Mrs. Dean (Elizabeth) Yoder, both of Millersburg, Mrs. Raymond (Katie) Troyer of Baltic, Mrs. Paul (Esther) Beachy of Trail and Mrs. Norman (Dena) Stutzman of New Bedford.
Howard Mohler
WADSWORTH TOWNSHIP -- Howard E. Mohler, 77, of Wadsworth Township, died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hilliard and Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, with the Rev. Keith D. Hejnal officiating. Burial will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.

He was born in Kenmore to Howard and Idora (Brouse) Mohler.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Isabelle (Allen) Mohler; children, Larry (Cheryl) Mohler of Sterling, Daniel (Deb) Mohler of Wadsworth, Marcia (Al) McGrew and Julie (Ron) Scuderi, both of Wadsworth, and Joelene (Bruce) Longfield of Austintown; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and half-sisters Joy (William) Reeder of Akron and Sharon Mohler of Yellow Springs.
Dora Smith
RITTMAN -- Dora E. Smith, 95, formerly of Orrville, died early Sunday, April 29, 2001, at the Apostolic Christian Home in Rittman, were she had resided for the past three years.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with ministers of the Apostolic Church officiating. Burial will be at the Apostolic Church Cemetery.

She was born July 28, 1905, in Sardis, to Albert and Emma (Huegle) Riggenbach and married Simon Smith in Port Huron, Mich. He died previously.
Surviving are stepchildren, Donald VanderVeen of Meadville, Pa., and Shirley Brisco of Port Huron, Mich.; four step-grandchildren; a few step-great-grandchildren; a brother, Alvin Riggenbach of Mansfield; sisters, Alma Curie, Laura Opplinger and Louise Spangler, all of Rittman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen Guthrie
MILLERSBURG -- Helen M. Guthrie, 94, of Millersburg, died Saturday evening, April 28, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg, after a short illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at First Church of Christ in Killbuck with Pastor John Damron officiating. Burial will be at Blissfield Cemetery.

She was born Oct. 27, 1906, near New Bedford to Samuel and Suzanne (Sheneman) Mullet and married Merton R. Guthrie on Aug. 4, 1924. He died Dec. 8, 1991.
Surviving are children, Ed (Jean) Guthrie of Canton, Gordon (Mary Jane) Guthrie of Sugarcreek, Annabelle Vergon of Las Vegas, Nev., Thomas (Linda) Guthrie of Wooster, Gary (Carol) Guthrie of Millersburg and John (Connie) Guthrie of Smithville; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Lola Carpenter
WEST SALEM -- Lola Carpenter, 68, of West Salem died Sunday, April 29, 2001, at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem.

She was born March 13, 1933, in Gasaway, W.Va., to Walter and Blanche (Flint) Brady.

Richard Wilson
PERRYSVILLE -- Richard L. Wilson, 83, 959 State Route 95, died Sunday morning, April 29, 2001, at Griffeth Nursing Home in Ashland.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church in Perrysville with the Rev. Lor Breyley officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Perrysville where military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

ORRVILLE -- Karl R. Parry, 64, of Orrville, died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cornerstone Community Church with the Rev. Tim Hull officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery where military graveside services will be held.

Paul Alexander
GLENMONT -- Paul C. Alexander, 76, 717 Nashville Road, died Sunday morning, April 29, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Dan Kirtlan officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 8:30 p.m.

He was born Aug. 19, 1924, in Glenmont to Harvey A. and Lena (Smith) Alexander and married Virginia McDowell on June 26, 1942. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Janet (Lanny) Hawkins of North Canton, Dr. Gregory (Patricia) Alexander of Olney, Md., James (Carol) Alexander of Pataskala and Thomas (Irene) Alexander of Glenmont; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Fern Moomaw
SUGARCREEK -- Fern Moomaw, 90, formerly of Sugarcreek, died Saturday, April 28, 2001, at Hartley Manor in Mentor.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sugarcreek Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Dick Marshall officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Jan. 20, 1911, in Strasburg to Christopher and Anna (Hanner) Noble and married Edison "Dutch" Moomaw on Sept. 12, 1936. He died Aug. 19, 1993.
Surviving are sons, Thomas J. (Laura) Moomaw of Hartville and James Arthur (Carol) Moomaw of Painesville; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Stanley Klingler
MILLERSBURG -- Stanley D. Klingler, 57, of Millersburg, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz., died Saturday evening, April 28, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. John's Church of Millersburg with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Walther officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by the Millersburg American Legion Post 192.

ORRVILLE -- Esther E. Hostetler, 94, formerly of Orrville, died Wednesday, April 25, 2001, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Mennonite Church near Smithville, with the Rev. Norma Duerksen officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Smithville.

Surviving are daughters, Twila (Myrl) Nafziger of Wadsworth, Marian Hostetler of Elkhart, Ind., Doris (James) Miller of Kidron and Beth (Lee Roy) Berry of Goshen, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marvin E. Hostetler of Orrville.
Esther Shoup
ORRVILLE -- Esther Marie Shoup, 91, 430 OrrVilla Drive, died Tuesday, April 24, 2001, at her home.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Martin's Mennonite Church of Orrville, with Pastor Randy Murray officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

She was born May 9, 1909, in Dalton, to John C. and Magadalena (Bixler) Gerber and married Clayton D. Shoup on Jan. 2, 1943. He survives.

Virginia Foutty
WADSWORTH -- Virginia I. (Keefer) Foutty, of Wadsworth, died Friday, April 27, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
She was the mother of Judy Steiner of Orrville and the brother of Robert Keefer of Rittman.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home in Wadsworth, with the Rev. Keith D. Hejnal officiating. Burial will be at Westfield Cemetery.
