DANVILLE -- Donald A. Snively, 87, of Jelloway Road, died Wednesday afternoon, April 4, 2001, at Akron City Hospital, after an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with Pastor Kenneth Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Jefferson Township, Knox County.

He was born Nov. 22, 1913 to Amos and Jennie (Weaver) Snively and married Sara Tisserand. She died Jan. 25, 1979.
Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Sue Snively of Cuyahoga Falls and Kay and Michael Elder of Littleton, Colo.; a granddaughter; a niece and a nephew.

FREDERICKSBURG -- Bishop Raymond M. Yoder, 63, of Fredericksburg, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, April 5, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at his residence with Bishop Crist Wengerd officiating. Burial will be in Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township.

He was born in Wayne County to Mose J. and Ella (Wengerd) Yoder. On Dec. 11, 1958, he married Emma Yoder. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are nine children, Leroy (Laura) Yoder, Freda (Perry) Miller, Wayne (Clara) Yoder, Wilma (Christ) Miller, all of Fredericksburg, Irene (Eli) Hostetler and Ruby (Roman) Troyer, both of Apple Creek, Vernon, Mervin and Robert of the home and 24 grandchildren.

ORRVILLE -- Terry "Steve" McCune, 42, 2006 Viking Ave., died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Cleveland Clinic, following a lengthy illness.
Terry was born July 27, 1958, to Ralph and Ocie McCune of Middleport.
Surviving are his parents, Ralph and Ocie McCune of Middleport, brothers and sisters, Dick (Marcella) McCune of Orrville, Sharon Warner of Pomeroy, Kenneth (Janet) McCune of Orma, W.Va., Rita (Mark) Lower of Smithville and Virginia Vee (Robert) Johns of Orrville, nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles.

RITTMAN -- Mary L. Hill, 83, 4 Mary St., died Thursday, April 5, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.

She was born Aug. 23, 1917, in Monroe County, to Alva and Mary (Howell) Clark and married William Hill. He died in 1973.
Surviving are sons, Lyle (Wanda) Hill of Rittman, Willard (Elaine) Hill of Mineola, Texas; daughters, Mrs. Myron (Arlene) Gerber, Mrs. James (Judy) Jackson, and Vicky Hill, all of Orrville; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Robert Hurt Sr.
WOOSTER -- Robert L. Hurt Sr., 69, 505 W. Larwill St., Lot 56, died Wednesday, April 4, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.

Ethel Kaufman
MILLERSBURG -- Ethel (Horrisberger) Kaufman, 92, of Millersburg and formerly of Berlin, died Tuesday afternoon, April 3, 2001, at Majora Lane Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Berlin Mennonite Church with the Revs. Ernie Hershberger and Tom Michaels officiating. Burial will be at the Berlin Cemetery in Berlin.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to services on Saturday.

Ethel was born Oct. 21, 1908, in Walnut Creek, to John and Tilla (Jaberg) Horrisberger and married Moses Kaufman Jr. He died Nov. 24, 1978.
Surviving are three children, Shelba Swartzendruber of Millersburg, Stanley Kaufman of Berlin and Dr. Harold and Brenda Kaufman of Shallowater, Texas; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Miller of Trail and two brothers and their wives, Ted and Elaine Horrisberger of Cuyahoga Falls and Sterling and Lillian Horrisberger of Beach City.

MASSILLON -- Josephine A. Henzel, 89, of Massillon, died Tuesday, April 3, 2001, at Rose Lane Health Care Center.
She was the mother of Janet Heimbuch of Wooster.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Barbara's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas W. Cebula officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

His wife, Ruth E. Huegle, died on July 18, 1996.

WOOSTER -- Ava M. Burris, 65, 529 W. North St., died Sunday morning, April 1, 2001, at her residence, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Aug. 13, 1935, in Bazetown, Ky., to Ira R. and Nola Ester (Burden) Allen and married Floyd "Buddy" Burris Jr. on March 3, 1974, in Wooster. He survives.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Donald (Mindy) Lowe of Wooster, Greg (Tari) Lowe of Lakeville, Tom Lowe of Wooster and Rick Greenough, whom she considered a son; two daughters, Tammy Grennough (Dies) of Wooster, Dianna Lowe of Wooster and Sharon Lowe, whom she considered a daughter; a brother, Eddie (Barb) Allen of Wooster; four sisters, Mrs. Richard (Maggie) Rose of Big Prairie, Mrs. Richard (Reva) Fox of Wooster, Nona Boals of Loudonville and Mrs. Dan (Sue) Trogdon of Beverly; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

MEDINA -- Helen I. Bihn, 91, of Medina, died Monday, April 2, 2001, at Evergreen Care Center in Medina.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Mary and Tom Menegay of Sterling.

She was born May 25, 1927, in Kenova, W.Va., to Charles and Sophia (Cyrus) Ferguson.
Surviving are a son, Billy Joe (Cindy) Pelfrey of Creston; sister, Annanell Adkins of Prichard, W.Va.; grandchildren, Melinda, Mary, and Billy Pelfrey, and Rob (Angel) Pelfrey; eight great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Harold Pelfrey, died March 16, 1986.

ASHLAND -- Daniel L. Derr, 63, 1720 Cottage St., died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, at 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dan Bilkert officiating. Burial will be at Ashland Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 30, 1938, in Ashland, and was the son of Paul and Edna (Imhoff) Derr.
On Sept. 7, 1979, he was married to Jane Grimm Hunt who survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Lynn Derr of Ashland; a son, Lenny Derr of Ashland; two stepsons, Rick Hunt of Cambridge, Md. and Lee Hunt of Ashland; his mother, Edna Derr of Ashland; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucie and Carl Restille of Mansfield; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Sharon Derr and Kenny and Lana Derr, all of Ashland.
Birdeene Glenn
CANTON -- Birdeene E. Glenn, 91, of Canton, died Tuesday morning, April 3, 2001, at Rose Lane Nursing Home, following an extended illness.
She was the mother and mother-in-law of Stephen P. and Gail Glenn of Wooster.

She was born Jan. 13, 1910, to Herman and Armentia (White) Porter and married Robert D. Glenn. He died Dec. 29, 1991.

He was born in Massillon to Arthur and Rose (Dugan) Greenwalt.
