MILLERSBURG -- Lee H. Wolfe, 75, of Millersburg, died Monday morning, March 26, 2001, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Frank Hudson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7079.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born July 3, 1925, in Akron, to Homer E. and Cora (Reich) Wolfe and married Edith Shepler on Nov. 15, 1949. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Lana (Charles) Hunter of Millersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

Thomas Kime
STERLING -- Thomas "Jack" Kime, 53, 8202 Doylestown Road, died Monday, March 26, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital, after an apparent heart attack.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with Father Phil Pritt officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Ohio Valley Affiliate, P.O. Box 182039, Dept. 013, Columbus 43218-2039.
He was born July 11, 1947, in Wadsworth, to Karl and Lena (Morrison) Kime and married Jean Reilly on Jan. 24, 1970. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Christine (Chris) Molnar of Doylestown, Mary Jo and Charles, both of the home; and nieces and nephews.

Dona Briand
WOOSTER -- Dona M. Briand, 77, 717 Quinby Ave., died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Horn Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center, after a short illness.
Her body has been cremated. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery. Private services will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Savings Bank, account number 100043281, 101 W. Market St., Orrville 44667.
She was born April 5, 1923, in Baltic, to Leland and Opal (Farver) Fraelich.
Surviving are her husband, Earl W. Briand, whom she married Nov. 24, 1965; a daughter, Earlyn (David) Kuhns of North Lawrence; two granddaughters; a brother, Sherman (Marge) Fraelich of Wooster; and a sister, Mary (Donald) Daso of Killbuck.

Vera Taylor
BREWSTER -- Vera M. Taylor, 84, of Brewster, died Friday, March 16, 2001, at Altercare Nursing Home of Navarre.
Graveside services were held Wednesday afternoon, March 21, at St. Clement's Cemetery in Navarre. Paquelet Funeral Home in Navarre handled arrangements.
She was born Aug. 21, 1916, in Renova, Pa., to Franklin and Mary (Crynock) Steiner.
Surviving are children, Karl F. Stroh of Mount Eaton, Edward Stroh of Massillon, Mary Nofsinger of Navarre, Sharon Plance of Dalton and Carole Keller of Bloomingdale; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Her husbands, Karl E. Stroh and Arthur Taylor, died previously.

Edward Burg
SUGARCREEK -- Edward W. Burg, 58, 2216 Ragersville Road, died Monday, March 26, 2001, in the emergency room at Union Hospital in Dover, after an apparent heart attack.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. David Hammel officiating. Burial will be at St. Jacob's Cemetery near Stonecreek.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 5-8 at the funeral home.
He was born Oct. 28, 1942, in Dover, to Howard H. and Ora (McCoun) Burg.
Surviving are sisters, Mrs. Gary (Ruth Ann) Johnson of Akron, Mrs. Tom (Sylvia) Hines of Galion, Mrs. Alvin (Joyce) Chupp of Baltic and June Newell of Walnut Creek; and brothers, Robert Burg, Daniel (Rose) Burg and Bill (Dalene) Burg, all of Sugarcreek, James Burg of Henderson, Nev., and Roger Burg of Baltic.

Earl Stauffer
COLUMBUS -- Earl Richard Stauffer, of Columbus, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at The Forum at Knightsbridge at the age of 89.
Services will Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Weir-Arend Funeral Home, 4221 N. High St., where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Pastor Peter Foxx will officiate.
Entombment will be at Union Cemetery Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Riverside/Grant, 3535 Olentangy River Road, Columbus 43214; or Calvary Bible Church, in his memory.
He was born June 11, 1911, in Orrville, to Frank and Edith (Flory) Stauffer.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Evelyn Stauffer; daughters, Sharon (Lamonte) Retz and Marcia (Joseph) Harvey, both of Columbus; grandchildren, Jennifer (Marc) Battistone of Pittsburgh and Geoffrey (Susan) Retz of Columbus; and a great-granddaughter, Emily Battistone.

Howard Hoffman
WOOSTER -- Howard William Hoffman, 82, 954 Washington St., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at the home of his son, after a two-year illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield. Burial will be at Prospect Cemetery in Prospect.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691; or to the American Diabetes Association.
He was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Prospect, to Jesse Franklin and Christina (Kibler) Hoffman.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Rena Eloise (Clark) Hoffman; sons, Jesse (Shirley) Hoffman of Mansfield, Terry (Deb) Hoffman of Cocoa, Fla., and Mel (Dee) Hoffman of Wooster, with whom he had made his home; grandchildren, Sherrie McMillan of Galion; Tammy Schrader, Jim, Jason, Joshua and Jonathon Hoffman and Christina Hoffman, all of Shelby, Jesse David Hoffman of Mansfield, Tara Griffis, Bill and Travis Hoffman and Rena Dianna Hoffman, all of Cocoa, Fla., and Alan Hoffman of Topeka, Kan.; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Betty Teeter
APPLE CREEK -- Betty L. Teeter, 70, 75 Cardinal St., died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Douglas Sparks officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Oct. 14, 1930, in Lewis County, Ky., to Raymond and Anna (Craft) Howell and married Frank Teeter. He died in 1990.
Surviving are children, Glenn and Randall Taulbee, both of Barberton, Sara Rickard and her fiance, Tom Jordan of Apple Creek and Scott (Elizabeth) Taulbee of Canton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sisters, June Williams and Judy Bear, both of Portsmouth and Frances Frasher of Mount Airy, N.C.

Rev. Louis Bauman
AKRON -- The Rev. Louis E. Bauman, 91, went to be with the Lord Friday, March 23, 2001.
He was born in Sardis. He was preceded in death in 1996 by his wife of 55 years, Ruth.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol (Bruce) Gradwohl; son, David Bauman; grandchildren, Mark (Julie) and Timothy (Melissa) Gradwohl; great-grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, and Alexander Gradwohl, Zachary and Kyle Henderson; and sisters, Edna Mizer and Pearle Barrick.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Steels Corners Christian Church, 3996 State Road, with the Revs. Jonathan Truax and Charles Smith officiating. Interment will be at Rose Hill Burial Park.
Friends may call at Billow Falls Chapel, corner of Falls Avenue and 23rd Street, Tuesday from 4:30-8 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest, 175 E. Market St., Akron 44308.

Kathryn Dempsey
WADSWORTH -- Kathryn N. Dempsey, 84, of Liberty Residence, died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Philip N. Wilden officiating. Burial will be at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Methodist Church, PO Box 32, Seville 44273.
She was born March 29, 1916, in Akron, to John and Elizabeth (Baker) Neidert and married Harold "Pat" Dempsey. He died in 1985.
Surviving are sisters, Elizabeth Zsilli and Mrs. Al (Eva) Mocher of Wadsworth and Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Fisher of Wooster, and several nieces and nephews.

Miriam Cullen
CANTON -- Miriam R. Cullen, 80, of Canton, died Saturday morning, March, 24, 2001, at Altercare of Louisville.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at North Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum with the Rev. Glen Osborn officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Community Church, 4301 Cleveland Ave. NW, Canton 44709.
She was born June 19, 1920, in Wooster, to Charles R. and Anna (Wenger) Shultz and married Grant F. Cullen. He died in Oct. 1986.
Surviving are her daughter, Carol Cullen of Orrville; son, Bruce Cullen of Canton and a sister, Marjorie Shultz of Orrville.

Earl Shank
ASHLAND -- Earl L. Shank, 88, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2001, at Lutheran Village in Ashland.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren with the Revs. Durward Hayes and Ray Hileman officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Dickey Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ashland Dickey Church of the Brethren, 1509 Township Road 655, Ashland 44805.
He was born Dec. 9, 1912, in Ashland County, to Joseph and Della (Clouse) Shank.
Surviving are his wife, Floy (Sower) Shank, whom he married Feb. 14, 1937; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger Shank of Mansfield, Dr. Jerry and Connie Shank of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and David and Judy Shank of Brandon, Fla.; a daughter, Karen Shank of Orrville; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two brothers, Marion Shank of Medina and Calvin Shank of Stuart, Fla. and a sister, Phyllis Burdick of Escondido, Calif.

Russel Rhoads
CRESTON -- Russel J Rhoads, 89, 227 Coulter St., died Sunday, March 25, 2001, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. Donald Kuntz officiating. Burial will be at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home where Moose Services will be held at 9 p.m.
Those who wish may contribute to the Creston Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 181, Creston 44217.
He was born Dec. 17, 1911, in Rittman, to Merton and Amanda (Beachy) Rhoads and married Doris E. Gattshall in June 1934. She died Oct. 16, 1969.
Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gerald and Rosie Rhoads of Creston and Dale Rhoads of Seville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marcia and Donald Piatt of Wooster and Roberta and Marvin Still of Creston; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mildred Thompson of Boynton Beach, Fla. and Bernice Scott of Thunder Bay, Canada.

Julius Fejes
ORRVILLE -- Julius Fejes, 91, 12606 Back Massillon Road,, died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at his residence following a long period of declining health.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Augsburg Lutheran Church in Orrville with Pastor Walter Jordan officiating. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville where a Masonic service will be held at 6:45 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Augsburg Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 140 W. Water St., Orrville 44667 or to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Cleveland, to Andrew and Judith (Moncol) Fejes and married Bessie R. Walentik on Dec. 4, 1943, also in Cleveland. She died Aug. 20, 1986.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Dean and Linda Fejes of Naples, Fla., and Alan and Debbie Fejes of Orrville, two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and James Jelinek and Annette and Terry Dwyer, all of Orrville; eight grandchildren, Steven, Jeffrey, Lisa, Julie, Michael, Sara, Nickolas, and Alan II; six great-grandchildren, Illeana, Pauline, Leah, Jeffrey, Owen, and Annabella, and a half-sister, Louise Roth of Alhambra, Calif.

Donald Boop
ORRVILLE -- Donald J. "Doc" Boop, 78, 1130 Heatherwood Lane, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home, Orrville, with Pastor Walter Jordan officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, where graveside military services will be performed.
Visitation will be Monday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club, 820 N. Ella St., Orrville 44667.
He was born Aug. 15, 1922, in Lima, Ohio, to Gustavus F. and Hazel (Phillips) Boop and married Pauline Shank on Dec. 19, 1953 in Orrville. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, Donald Craig (Paula) Boop of Asheville, N.C., Leslie Kirk (Margaret) Boop of Brawley, Calif., and Robert Lyndon (Lynn) Boop of Lancaster, Calif, and two grandchildren of son Donald and Paula, Lindsey Nicole Boop and Donielle Lynn Boop.

Camilla Paramore
ASHLAND -- Camilla J. (Zurcher) Paramore, 62, of East Lake Drive, passed away Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Grant Hospital in Columbus, after a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2001, at 1:30 p.m. at Heyl Funeral Home, 227 Broad St., Ashland, with Dr. Thomas Gibson officiating. Burial will be at Adario Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, Cottage Street, Ashland 44805.
Camilla was born Aug. 23, 1938, in Wooster to Lloyd E. and Florence M. (Hasseman) Zurcher. On Nov. 26, 1959, Camilla married Glen E. Paramore, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Joan and Keith Edwards of Ashland, Pam and Ted Sylvester of Tucker, Ga., and Julie Paramore of Atlanta, Ga.; four grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Pattie Zurcher of Parker, Colo., and Tim and Debbie Zurcher of Ashland.

Lorna Bookman
LAKEVILLE -- Lorna M. Bookman, 72, 8542 Township Road 1060, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve. Private burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Sunday) from 4-8 at the funeral home.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to: Shreve Emergency Medical Service, 150 W. McConkey St., Shreve 44676.
She was born May 2, 1928, near Big Prairie to John C. and Ethel B. (Wachtel) Lemmon and married Charles E. Bookman on May 9, 1954. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Beulah (Charlie) Pennell of Shreve; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild; two sisters, Blanche Bruce of Millersburg and Katie Deck of Lakeville; and a brother, Bud (Mary) Lemmon of Lakeville.

Mildred Gwin
WOOSTER -- Mildred W. Gwin, 87, formerly of James Road, died Friday evening, March 23, 2001, at Horn Nursing Center in Wooster.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Moreland United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Stull officiating. Burial will be at Moreland Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home.
Those who wish may contribute to the Mildred W. Gwin Scholarship Fund, in care of Moreland United Methodist Church, 138 E. Moreland Road, Wooster 44691.
She was born June 13, 1911, in Franklin Township to John Charles and Florence Lillian (Franks) James and married Floyd O. Gwin in 1944. He died in 1991.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Gail (Gwen) Miller of Wooster; a son and daughter-in-law, Jon and Nancy Gwin of Lakeville; six grandchildren; and a brother, Clark Watson James of California.
