WOOSTER -- Freda J.M. Dague, 83, of Wooster and formerly of Lodi, died Friday, March 23, 2001, at West View Manor in Wooster, after a short illness.
Memorial service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
There will be no calling hours.

She was born Feb. 5, 1918, in Kalamazoo, Mich. to Howard J. and Lois (Ayling) Mosier and married Archer Dague on Feb. 11, 1940, in Lodi. He died Jan. 10, 2000.
Surviving are two daughters, Diana Lucas of Macedonia and Mrs. Paul (Margo Suzann) Stafford of Wooster; five grandchildren; two great-grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Margaret) Brubaker and Mrs. Nobel (Virginia) Hitchcock, both of Wooster; and two brothers, Ivan (Vivian) Mosier of Big Prairie and Patrick (Carolyn) Mosier of Smithville.
Victor Gerber
DALTON -- Victor Benjamin Gerber, 93, of Dalton died Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Salem Mennonite Church, Kidron, with the Rev. Bill Detweiler officiating. Burial will be at Salem Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home, Dalton, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

He was born Nov. 13, 1907, in Sugar Creek Township to Simon and Fanny (Amstutz) Gerber and married Gertrude Johnson on July 22, 1934. She died previously.
Surviving are a son, Dr. Homer (Nancy) Gerber of Orlando, Fla.; daughters Priscilla (Don) Adams of Dublin and Gretchen (Charles) Boone of Lewisville, Texas; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Corrine Krehbiel of Reedley, Calif.; and a brother, Richard (Joy) Gerber of Kidron.
Melvin Shirey
RITTMAN -- Melvin G. Shirey, 79, formerly of Washington Street, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2001, at Altercare of Wadsworth.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman, with Julia Wertz officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Marshallville.

He was born on March 13, 1922, in Emlinton, Pa., to Grover and Mabel (Potts) Shirey.
Surviving are his wife, Doris (Berlin) Shirey; a son, Eric (Patricia) Shirey of Sterling; stepsons Bruce Wertz of Hereford, Ariz., and Thomas (Helen) Wertz of Rittman; a daughter, Barbara (Dennis) Richardson of Huntsville, Ala.; stepdaughters Dolores (Roy) Smith of Rittman, and Bonita (Colin) Cranston of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Henry Kloha
SOLON -- Henry F. Kloha, 97, of Solon, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at Southpointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Powell Woods officiating. Burial will be at Dundee Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 23, 1903, in Dundee, to John M. and Karolina (Lidi) Kloha. His first wife, Viola (Eash) Kloha, died in 1971, his second wife, Eunice Kloha, died in 1988.
Surviving are a son, William "Bill" (Nancy) Kloha of Smithville; two daughters, Glenna Vanderground of New Philadelphia and Mrs. James (Marilyn) Curts of Solon; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Fred Kloha of Wooster and a sister, Anna Robinett of Apple Creek.
Robert Hornlein
STAMFORD, Conn. -- Robert Hornlein, 55, of Stamford, Conn., died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at his home from lung cancer contracted through the exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam.
He was the husband of the former Rita Hessidence of Rittman.
A memorial service was held March 19 at Norton Presbyterian Church in Darien, Conn.
He was cremated and will be laid to rest in Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. A date has not been set.

WOOSTER -- Donnell Eugene Chappell, infant, 2700 Cleveland Road, Apt. 8A, died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.

Norma Miller

She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in Walnut Creek, to Ralph and Mattie (Hostetler) Zook. She married Howard Miller on Sept. 21, 1947. He survives.

Richard Wagner
WOODLAND, Calif. -- Richard D. "Richie" Wagner, beloved son of Richard D. Wagner of Wooster and Bonnie J. Mullins and Bill W. Mullins (stepfather) of Duncan, Okla., died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at his home after a lengthy illness.
Richie was 36 years old. He was born Nov. 12, 1964.
A memorial service will be held in Duncan, Okla., with the Rev. Randy Southerland officiating.
He is survived by his mother, father and only brother, Todd A. Wagner (Linda) and two nephews, Tanner Joseph and Chase Michael Wagner, all of Wooster.
His maternal grandparents are Virginia V. (Henney) Meyer and Francis Meyer of Wooster.
His paternal grandparents are Dr. George Wagner and the late Alice Wagner.

Thelma Beale
SHREVE -- Thelma N. Beale, 89, of North Prospect St., died Thursday, March 22, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster.
Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Shreve Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) with the Rev. Priscilla E. Jackson officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Shreve.

She was born Jan. 6, 1912, in Wurtenburg, Pa., to Victor Pierre and Mary (Graff) Nye and married Russell Moreland in April 1933. He died March 1970. She then married Irvin Beale in Sept. 1973. He died in November 1974.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Don) Vell of Cincinnati and Carol (Mark) Lindsey of Hudson, Fla.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and five sisters, Alma White, Mary Bowers, Harriet (Ed) Waterfild, Grace (Ray) Jessup and Ilene (Jim) White, all of the Elwood City, Pa. area.
Donald Snow
KILLBUCK -- Donald C. Snow, 81, of Killbuck, died Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Dale Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery, Killbuck.

He was born June 13, 1919, in Killbuck, and was the son of Olen and Ethel (Kaser) Snow. On March 17, 1939, he married June O. Bowman and she preceded him in death June 25, 1990.
Surviving are four children and their spouses, Richard and Judy Snow of Killbuck, Noreen and Marion Martin of Killbuck, Duane and Christina "Unjoo" Snow of Reston, Va. and Kathy and Wayland Higginbottom of Weatherford, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Helen Stringfellow of Killbuck; a sister-in-law, Helen Snow of Glenmont and several special nieces and nephews.
Joseph Hudson
APPLE CREEK -- Joseph William Hudson, 75, 40 Buss Court, died Thursday morning, March 22, 2001, at his home.
A memorial service will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church with the Rev. Evelyn Manzella officiating. The family will receive friends after the service.

Sara Douglas
JACKSON, Mich. -- Sara L. "Sally" Douglas of Jackson, Mich. died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, following a brief battle with cancer.
She was born April 10, 1927, in Wooster to Dr. Edwiard W. and Lema (Jones) Douglas.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has occurred. A service of remembrance will be conducted in Sally's honor at the First Presbyterian Church of Jackson, Mich. on Saturday, March 24, at 11 a.m., with Dr. James Hegedus officiating.

John Middaugh
KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- John Middaugh, 74, of Kissimmee, Fla. and formerly from Wooster most of his life, died Sunday, March 18, 2001.
Services will be today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. at Osceloa Memorial Gardens in Kissimmee, Fla.
He was born May 6, 1926, in East Greenville, to Dan and Martha Middaugh. He married Linda Akins in 1974. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his a son, John W. Middaugh of Wooster; foster daughter, Noreen Fain of Wooster; a son and daughter and two stepchildren in Florida; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and a sister, Nellie Hensel of Holmesville.
