She was the mother and mother-in-law of Carolyn and Robert Hoff of Wooster.

She was born July 12, 1925, in Robey, W.Va.
Surviving in addition to her daughter and son-in-law are her husband, Carl D. Piatt, to whom she had been married 57 years; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Viola (Robert) Elliott of Idaho.
William Bowen
WOOSTER -- William K. "Dutch" Bowen, 89, of Friendsville Road, died Monday, March 5, 2001, at Glendora Health Care Center.
A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 5 p.m. at Church of the Cross United Methodist. The family will receive guests immediately following the service. Family graveside service will be held at Wooster Cemetery. Rev. Robert Smeltzer will officiate.

He was born Aug. 28, 1911, in Sidney to William H. and Nancy (Macolm) Bowen and married Jeanette McCoy on March 24,. 1940. She died previously.
Surviving are four children, Joseph C. of Plymouth, Minn., Dr. Peter M. of Fresno, Ohio, Jane Edwards of Boone, Iowa, and Susan Shultz of DeGraff, Ohio, and seven grandchildren.

YOUNGSTOWN -- Victor G. Clevidence, 65, of Youngstown died of a sudden illness Sunday morning, March 4, 2001, at Northside Hospital in Youngstown.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Pioneer Cemetery, Loudonville, with Pastor Chuck Sloan officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 257 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8586.

LAKEVILLE -- Lura I. Dawson, 77, 14731 Washington Township Road 464, died Monday morning, March 5, 2001, at her home, after a 15 month illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Ivan Beatty officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Shinston, W.Va., to Arthur and Lucille (Tetrick) Stackpole.
Surviving are her husband, George Dawson Sr., who she married Nov. 22, 1946; sons and daughters-in-law, George "Bud" and Marianne Dawson Jr. and Dave and Janet Dawson, all of Loudonville, and Ron Dawson of West Salem; daughter and son-in-law, Barb and Jon Harris of Booneville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Robert Ross
LOUDONVILLE -- Robert C. Ross, 53, 3301 County Road 739, died near Loudonville and was found Sunday, March 4, 2001.
Memorial services with military rites conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating.

Ann Sullivan
WOOSTER -- Ann M. Sullivan, 79, formerly of College Hills Retirement Center, Wooster, died Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center, Akron, following a sudden illness.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Wooster with the Rev. Jim Collier officiating. To honor her wishes, cremation has taken place and the cremains will be entered at Cross Creek Cemetery, Cross Creek, Pa., at a later date.

WOOSTER -- Ethel B. James, 89, 3887 McCoy Road, died Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, with the Rev. Robert Stull officiating.

She was born Jan. 16, 1912, in Holmes County to Wayne F. and Sarah A. (Mullet) Kendall and married F. Wayne James on Feb. 20, 1946. He died May 4, 1980.
Surviving are children, Carol (Donald) Mong of Shreve and Lloyd James of Wooster, and two grandchildren.

LOUDONVILLE -- Josephine G. Aber, 89, died Saturday afternoon, March 3, 2001, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center in Loudonville. She was formerly of McZena.

She was born Sept. 12, 1911, in Wayne County to Jacob W. and Ella (Carver) Starn and married Hale G. Aber. He died Oct. 30, 1988.
Surviving are children, Sharon Kendall of North Canton, Gari Aber and her husband, Glenn Laine, of Worthington and Richard W. (Diane) Aber of Kent; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Charles Rogers
GREENWICH -- Charles "Charlie" Rogers, 75, of Greenwich, died Thursday evening, March 1, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Willard, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by relatives in the Wooster area.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, with Tom McFadden officiating. Burial will be at Savannah cemetery.

He was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Adario to Ora and Rhea (Sheller) Rogers.

His wife, Ruth Rogers, died in 1999.

He was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Holmes County to Frank Jehu and Ella Irene (Morgan) Dye and married Dorothy Helena Gallion on April 5, 1933. She survives.

SUGARCREEK -- Bryce Taylor Erb, 3-year-old son of Firman and Angela (Miller) Erb, 5312 Evans Creek Road, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at his home after a one-month illness.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Sugarcreek Free Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dwight Mason officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek.

MILLERSBURG -- Joseph W. Hood, 89, of Millersburg, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2001, at Scenic View Nursing Home, Millersburg, after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastor Ed Stivers officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was born Oct. 13, 1911, in Martins Ferry, to Wilbur S. and Vivian Leslie (Davis) Hood and married Catherine Virginia Hurst on Oct. 18, 1935. She survives.

Luke Miller
FREDERICKSBURG -- Luke L. Miller, infant son of Leon and Laura (Miller) Miller, 8284 State Route 241, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 27, 2001, shortly after birth at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.
Graveside services will be Wednesday afternoon at the Yoder Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County, with Bishop Albert A. Miller officiating.

She was born July 27, 1905, in Geneva, Ind., to Frank N. and Mary Alice (Engle) Schoonover and married Clark Davenport. He died in 1991.
Surviving are children, Donald Davenport and Doris (William) Balloon, both of Wooster and Dorothy Sperry of Boca Raton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ellery Schoonover of Elkhart, Ind.; and a sister, Dena Utterback of California.
Hazel Hostetler
NAVARRE -- Hazel M. Hostetler, 68, of Navarre, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at her home after an extended illness.
She was the stepmother of Terry Hostetler of Dalton and the sister of Susie Goodwin of Apple Creek.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster, with the Rev. Timothy Mishler officiating. Burial will be at Clover Ridge Cemetery in Clover, W.Va.

She was born May 1, 1932, in Newton, W.Va., to Everett and Virginia (Drennen) Drake and married Camden F. Ledsome on April 13, 1951. He died Sept. 20, 1977. On May 22, 1982, she married Gerald E. Hostetler. He survives.

Marian Chamberlain
CENTERVILLE -- Marian L. (O'Connell) Chamberlain, 81, of Bethany Lutheran Village in Centerville, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at her residence after a brief illness.
She was the mother of Thomas (Patricia) Chamberlain of Wooster and Kenneth (Jacqueline) Chamberlain of Shreve.
Services will be Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at Groff Funeral Home, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

WADSWORTH -- Mary F. Burg, 87, of Wadsworth, formerly of Doylestown, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Father David McCarthy serving as celebrant. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
