WADSWORTH TOWNSHIP -- George W. Long, 91, of Wadsworth Township, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Akron General Medical Center, after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home in Wadsworth. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born in LeRoy.
Surviving is a son, Gary Long of Wadsworth Township.
His wife, Mildred Long, died previously.

Jack Hanlin Sr.
WOOSTER -- Jack B. Hanlin Sr., 71, of Wooster, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, 2001, at his residence.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Finefrock-Gordon Funeral Home, 266 Main St., Magnolia, with Brother Gerald Compton officiating. Burial will be at Sandy Valley Cemetery in Waynesburg.
Friends may call Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born in Steubenville to Harry and Ruth (Mitchell) Hanlin.
Surviving are his wife, Diane D. Hanlin; children, Crystal (Charles) Hetherington of Carrollton, Cindy Johnson of Missouri, April (Dave) Milton of Wooster, Rick Hanlin of Columbus, Randy (Lorraine) Hanlin of Canton, James (Dawn) Hanlin of Waynesburg and Jack Hanlin Jr. of Shreve; and 16 grandchildren.

Forest Kornhaus
KIDRON -- Forest R. Kornhaus, 87, of Kidron, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, 2001, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon, after a period of declining health.
Family graveside services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Crownhill Cemetery in Orrville. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at Martins Mennonite Church near Orrville, with the Rev. Randy Murray officiating.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.

He was born March 3, 1913, in Baughman Township, Wayne County, to Melvin and Lula (Rohrer) Kornhaus and married Lillian Beyeler on June 23, 1935. She died Aug. 19, 1982. He then married Ruth E. (Byler) Yutzy Begley on June 25, 1983. She died Nov. 28, 1999.
Surviving are a son, Eldon (Wava) Kornhaus of Kidron; stepsons, Donald A. (Nancy) Yutzy of Apple Creek and Andrew D. (Joyce) Yutzy of Wooster; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren.

Shiela Hylton
WOOSTER -- GShiela L. Hylton, 57, 1684 Mechanicsburg Road, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at her home.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. Dean Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

She was born Feb. 3, 1944, in Millersburg, to Albert L. and Virginia V. (Simmerman) Henney.

(Gregg) Riley of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Colby (12) and Kristin Hylton (9), Jarrod (13) and Nakita Riley (7); her mother, Virginia Meyer of Wooster; her stepfather, Francis Meyer of Shreve; sisters, Sonja (David) Tugend of Chagrin Falls, Bonnie (Billy) Mullins of Duncan, Okla., Linda (Ted) Brinker and Barbara Meyer, both of Wooster and Nyoka Parcell of Englewood, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Milford Kramer
DOVER -- Milford Brooks Kramer, 91, of Country Club Retirement Center, formerly of Doylestown, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001, at Union Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Naylor Funeral Home, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, with Pastor Clarence Miller officiating. Burial will be at Holmes Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

He was born May 17, 1909, in Kingmont, W.Va., to John and Icie Kramer and married Nora (Burkhammer) Luff on Feb. 15, 1947. She survives.
Other survivors include children, George (Beverly) Luff of Sherrodsville, Shirley (Walter) Lewis of Doylestown, Donna Collar of Mineral City and Paula Leekly of Denver; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Elfa Zelanek and Esther Murphy, both of Fairmont, W.Va.

Lois Campbell
CALERA, Okla. -- Lois Jean (Bailey) Campbell, 63, of Calera, Okla., formerly of Millersburg, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 13, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Dale Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery.
Friends may call two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
She was born July 2, 1937, in Millersburg, to Oliver and Opal (Shaffer) Bailey.

Mary Swihart
MASSILLON -- Mary E. Swihart, 87, formerly of Massillon, died Thursday morning, Feb. 15, 2001, at Brewster Parke Nursing Home, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster, with the Rev. Allan Swinderman officiating. Burial will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 6-8 at the funeral home.
She was born May 13, 1913, in Elton, to Nathan and Isabel (Youngman) Price and married Daniel W. Swihart on Nov. 16, 1932. He died May 19, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Ronald W. Swihart of Wilmot; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mardell McKeen of Canton; and a brother, Earl Price of Brewster.

Lydiann Miller
BALTIC -- Lydiann E. Miller, 70, 54927 State Route 651, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, in Michigan, after a brief illness.
Services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Leroy M. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, Clark Township.
Friends may call anytime today (Friday) and Saturday.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
She was born Nov. 23, 1930, in Holmes County, to Eli M. and Sarah (Troyer) Raber and married Robert L. Miller on Dec. 3, 1953. He died Oct. 22, 1995.
Surviving are children, Eli R. (Effie) Miller and John R. (Alma) Miller, both of Baltic, Henry R. (Mary) Miller of the home, Levi R. (Esther) Miller of Berlin, Robert R. (Anna) Miller of Leroy, Mich., Andy R. (Naomi) Miller and Annie (Vernon) Mast, both of Marion, Mich., and Daniel R. (Miriam) Miller of Lyndonville, N.Y.; 44 grandchildren; brothers, Andy Raber of Millersburg, Mose Raber of Baltic, Henry Raber of Dundee and Eli Raber of Sugarcreek; and sisters, Mary (Levi) Yoder and Annie (Eli N.) Miller, both of Millersburg.

Ruth Mattox
WOOSTER -- Ruth J. Mattox, 88, 313 Russell Circle, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 14, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. James Watt officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery.

She was born April 2, 1912, in Holmes County, to Virgil and Elsie (McClelland) Williams and married James K. Mattox. He died in 1998.
Surviving are stepdaughters, Marilea Schweitzer of Albuquerque, N.M., Barbara Franco of Redding, Calif., and Becky Kleinhans of Woodland, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Karen McReynolds of Wooster, Steve Williams, Vickie Williams Booth and Gloria Furnish, all of Lancaster, and Ruth Skevington of Livermore, Calif.; and a brother, Harold V. Williams of Lancaster.

Viola Santmyer
DALTON -- Viola J. Santmyer, 73, of Dalton, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2001, at Mercy Medical Center.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Dalton, with the Rev. Michael McHale officiating. Burial will be at Dalton Cemetery.

She was born June 12, 1927, in Wooster, to Lewis and Lucy (McVay) Stackhouse and married Lloyal Santmyer on Dec. 24, 1944. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Gloria Amstutz of Canton and Dan (Lois) Santmyer of Dalton; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Alberta Matheny of Dalton and Donna Armentrout of Marshallville.

Alice Wilson
NANTUCKET, Mass. -- Alice L. "Allie" Wilson, 75, of Nantucket, Mass., died Monday, Feb. 5, 2001, in Guilford, Conn., at the home of her daughter, Karen.
Allie grew up in Rochester, N.Y., and married Alexander T. Stark and moved to Summit, N.J., where they had three children. In 1966, the family moved to Wooster.
In 1980, Allie married David H. Wilson in Hudson. They divided their time between Hudson and Nantucket, Mass.
She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Suzanne Stark of Maui, Hawaii, Karen Stark of New York City, and Guilford, Conn., and Amy Tercek of Irvington, N.Y.; grandchildren, Alison, Margo, Luke and Rex Tercek of Irvington, N.Y.; a brother, Charles Frederick Lehmann of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and five nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church in Nantucket, Mass.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Alice Wilson Memorial Fund, in care of the Sconset Trust, a land preservation organization on Nantucket.

Dorothy Cargo
AKRON -- Dorothy M. Cargo, 84, of Akron, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2001.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Trinity United Church of Christ, 915 N. Main St., Akron, where she will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. The Rev. David Kiewit will officiate. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Kucko-Anthony-Kertesz Funeral Home, 95 Waterloo Road, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
She was born in Burbank and married W. Karl Cargo. He died previously.
Surviving are a son, Thomas (Rani) Cargo of Munroe Falls; and a granddaughter, Vanassa Rango.

Harold Krabill
CRESTON -- Harold G. Krabill, 79, 12406 Cleveland Road, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, after an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Mennonite Church, Smithville, with the Rev. Norma Duerksen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
He was born July 24, 1939, near Sterling, to Alden M. and Fannie (Graber) Krabill.
Surviving are his wife, Betty; children, Robert Krabill of Wooster, Sue (Steve) Veith of Franklin, Tenn., and Diane (James) Smith of Smyrna, Tenn.; stepchildren, Shelley (Glenn) Bower of Shreve, David (Elaine) Johnston of Columbus and Jay (Ruth) Johnston of Wooster; grandchildren, Nicholas Veith, Laurie and Jacklyn Bower, Adrienne, Abby and Leah Johnston, Ruth (Ray) Butler, Randell and Rhiannon Whalen; great-granddaughters, Emma Whalen and Elizabeth Butler; and a brother, Ralph (Maxine) Krabill of Creston.
His first wife, Anna Mae, died previously.

Elphra Noble
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- Elphra L. Noble, 66, of Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of Rittman, died Monday evening, Feb. 12, 2001, at University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Rittman Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. William K. McComas officiating.
Friends may call Thursday from 7-9 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman.
She was born July 31, 1934, in Webster Springs, W.Va., to Adam and Gay (Ash) Arthur.
Surviving are sons, Mitchell (Joyce) Noble of Saline, Mich., Keith (Theresa) Noble of Wooster, Steve (Dee) Noble of Rittman and Wendell (Midge) Noble of St. Louis Park, Minn.; 12 grandchildren; brothers, Herbert Arthur of Albuquerque, N.M., and Shelton Arthur of Akron; and sisters, Zohla Bland of Uniontown, Pa., Zetta Hamrick of Tallahassee, Fla., and Vesta Bender of Fort Smith, Ark.

Walter Markley
MILLERSBURG -- Walter Elmer Markley, 78, of Millersburg, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 12, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. David Carrick officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the services.
He was born Jan. 30, 1923, in Coshocton, to Lester and Cora (Fortune) Markley.
Surviving are children, Jessie Phillips of Millersburg and Delmer Markley of Akron; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

FREDERICKSBURG -- Carl G. Lytle, 84, 133 N. Mill St., died Sunday morning, Feb. 11, 2001, at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fredericksburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ken Peterson officiating. Burial will be at Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the fire house in Fredericksburg with Masonic Services at 8:45 p.m.

He was born July 25, 1916, in Millersburg, to George and Bertha (Gilt) Lytle and married Florence Aylsworth on Jan. 19, 1940. She died Sept. 18, 1990. On Aug. 10, 1999, he married Nettie Renfrew who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Nettie, are a son, David and his wife, Carol Lytle of Arrayoseco, N.M.; daughter, Sally and husband, Robert Nester of Wooster; five grandchildren, Scott Franks, Michelle Colter, Marc Nester, Curtis and Eric Lytle; three great-grandchildren; Matthew Franks, Blair Colter and Ian Nester; three stepdaughters, Cynthia (Bryan) Peters of Dalton, Candace Drouhard of West Salem and Cheryl (Rudolpho) Vocal of Mansfield; 10 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and two brothers, J.B. and wife, Marianne Lytle of Fredericksburg and Vance and wife, June Wilcox of Shreve.

Donna Bigler
MILLERSBURG -- Donna M. Bigler, 69, 5940 State Route 241, died Sunday morning, Feb. 11, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth Walther officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.

She was born Sept. 28, 1931, in Sandyville, and was the daughter of Floyd E. and Mabel (Schwartz) Lautzenheiser and married Donald L. Bigler on April 8, 1951, and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Debora and Craig Hampton of Cleveland; sisters, Miriam Niuman of Labell, Fla., Pearl Kocher of Fountain Hill, Ariz., and a brother, Dr. Robert Lautzenheiser of Lancaster.

Earlene Hennell
WOOSTER -- Earlene C. Hennell, 87, 1436 Avalon Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Wooster, following a brief illness.
She was born at Tappan on Feb. 22, 1913, the daughter of the late Earl Clifford Scott and Theresa M. (McConnell) Scott.
Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Linda A. and John R. Shull of Wooster, with whom Earlene resided; Judy E. and Jack R. Wells of Uhrichsville; a stepson, R.W. (Emily) Hennell Jr. of Orrville; a stepdaughter, Betty Ford of Missouri; five grandchildren, David S. (Holly) Shull of Apple Creek, Deborah J. (Bruce) Mackey of Munroe Falls, Andrea E. (Mark) Samsa of Dover, Maria D. (Chris) Daull of Hendersonville, Tenn., Jack R. (Lori) Wells Jr. of Indianapolis, Ind. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Uhrich-Hostettler Funeral Home, Uhrichsville, with the Rev. Delbert Kettering officiating. Burial will follow at Patterson Union Cemetery, Deersville.
Calling hours will be from 6-8 tonight (Monday), Feb. 12, 2001, at the funeral home.

Stephen Deibler
ORRVILLE -- Stephen C. "Shrew" Deibler, 28, 14882 Fosnight Road, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at Wooster Community Hospital Emergency Department, following a sudden illness and complications of a kidney transplant.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Delane McGhee officiating. Cremation will take place following the funeral service.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born April 17, 1972, in Orrville, the son of Bernice L. Deibler and Thomas W. Stevic.
He married Ginna L. Campbell on June 13, 1997, in Orrville. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Damia Campbell of the home; his mother and stepfather, Bernice L. and Leonard "Bubba" Williams of Orrville; adoptive father, Thomas W. Stevic of Tipp City; a brother, Denny (Sherry) Bucher of Orrville; a sister, Sally Stevic of Orrville; paternal grandparents, James and Florence Bailey of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; paternal grandfather, Charles Stevic of Dalton.

Eleanor Barnes
APPLE CREEK -- Eleanor B. Barnes, 79, of Apple Creek, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster, following a period of declining health.
Graveside services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Apple Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Steiner officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton is handling arrangements.
Contributions may be made to Apple Creek Emergency Squad.
She was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Delaware County, to Ernest and Eva (Martin) Shively and married Clifford L. Barnes on Aug. 9, 1941. He died Oct. 29, 1985.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Barnes of Apple Creek; a son, James Barnes of Apple Creek; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Hayley of Lombard, Ill.
