LOUDONVILLE -- Betty Jane Dessenberg, 70, 223 Monroe St., died Friday afternoon, Aug. 31, 2001, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after a five-month illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel at Pioneer Cemetery, Lake Township, Ashland County, with the Rev. Terry E. Ruther officiating. Burial will follow at Pioneer Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 1, 1930, in Mansfield to Charles and Kathryn (Kauffman) Larscey and married Kenneth H. Dessenberg on Jan. 6, 1961. He survives.
Other survivors include sons Neal Dessenberg of Blachleyville and James (Sandy) Dessenberg of Perrysville; stepdaughters Sheryl Esbenshade of Canton and Sue Dunham of Wooster; and sisters Margaret Martinez of Winesburg and Eleanor Frederick of Shreve.

DOYLESTOWN -- Gertrude E. (Weinsheimer) Dannemiller, 93, of Doylestown, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001.
At her request there will be a Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday at 11 a.m., at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, with Father James G. Maloney as celebrant. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown is handling arrangements.

She was born Sept. 5, 1907, in Doylestown, where she had lived all of her life and married Leo I. "Dutch" Dannemiller. He died previously.

RITTMAN -- Benjamin E. Moody, 23, of Rittman, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2001, in Coshocton County of injuries sustained in an industrial accident.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Grace Brethren Church, 44 S. First St., Rittman, with pastor Bud Olszewski officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.

He was born June 5, 1978, in Massillon to Ronald and Marilyn (Landis) Moody.
Surviving are brothers Alan (Loretta) Moody of Tampa, Fla., Mike Moody of Athens and Dane (Cindy) Van Dyne of Apple Creek; sisters Darilee McGregor of Rittman and Amanda Moody of Wooster; his grandmother, Frances Landis of Sandusky; and a special friend, Candy Mattingly of Barberton.

NORWALK -- Lawrence D. Auxier, 76, of Norwalk, formerly of Wooster, died Saturday morning, Aug. 25, 2001, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk after a lengthy illness.
Private family services will be held, with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Wadsworth.

He was born May 30, 1925, in Grayson, Ky., to Bill and Rosie (Skaggs) Auxier.

She was born July 20, 1910, in Fresno to Eli and Alpha (Besst) Burrier and married Edmund Rauschenbach on Dec. 22, 1928. He died March 2, 1991.

WOOSTER -- Thelma Lea DeMoss, 74, 644 Stibbs St., lost her courageous fight with liver cancer on Monday, Aug. 27, 2001, at her residence.

She was born March 19, 1927, in Ireland, W.Va., to William and Bessie (Weimer) Lake and married Jasper DeMoss on March 1, 1948. He passed away in 1996.

WOOSTER -- Nelson E. Jacobs, 76, formerly of 1410 Portage Road, died Saturday evening, Aug. 25, 2001, at Glendora Health Care Center where he had resided since 1995.

SACHSE, Texas -- Frank A. Massaro, 84, passed away, Saturday, Aug. 25, 2001, in Sachse, Texas.

He was born Jan. 5, 1917, in Wooster to Antonio and Eleanora (Jesoni) Massaro and married Ruth Kovach on Jan. 4, 1940, in Covington, Ky. Ruth passed away Aug. 2, 2000.

He was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Orrville to Mose and Anna (Lorson) Perkins and married Mary Jones on Jan. 28, 1950. She survives.

She was born April 23, 1938, in Millersburg to Denver and Anna Middaugh and married Ronald Dean Ramsey on Feb. 21, 1959, in Warsaw. He survives.

He was the son and stepson of Robert Lee and Kathy Wolfe of Loudonville.

RITTMAN -- Dale E. Widmer, 65, 25 Lincoln Drive, died Friday night, Aug. 24, 2001, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
He was born Oct. 16, 1935, in Sterling to John and Mary (Riggenbach) Widmer and married Joanne (Blatter) Widmer. She survives.

She was born March 17, 1944, in Fairmont, W.Va., and was the daughter of William and Ruby (McElfresh) Davis. On Aug. 18, 1990, she married James G. Dawson and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are six children, Mary and husband, Cliff Craft, of Lodi, Dottie Hickman, Angela Maxwell and Kay and husband, Bob Carpenter, all of Killbuck, Ivan Hickman of Newcomerstown and Carla and husband, Randy Bretz, of Millersburg; her mother, Ruby Davis of Fairmont, W.Va.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul W. Davis of Fairmont, W.Va.; and a sister, Dorothy Skarzenski of Medina.
