LOUDONVILLE -- Betty L. Whitman, 69, 825 W. Main St., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Cleveland Clinic, after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville, with the Rev. Dale Adkins officiating. Burial will be at Pioneer Cemetery.

She was born May 17, 1931, in Bedford, to Leo O. and Lillian I. (Bennett) Franks and married William Junior Combs. He died in 1960. On Jan. 26, 1963, she married James E. Whitman at Mansfield Baptist Temple. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Gary L. and Allen Combs, John (Debbie) Combs and Karen (Eric) Rooks, all of Loudonville and Shelly (Jim) Vickers of Scottsdale, Ariz.; stepchildren, Edward (Mildred) Whitman of Berlin and Cindy Legge of Cleveland; six grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a step-great-grandchild.
Henry Schrock
KILLBUCK -- Henry A. Schrock, 85, 220 Grover St., died Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2001, at Sunset View Nursing Home in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Private graveside services will be Saturday at Malta Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Miller-Huck Funeral Home, 62 S. 7th St., McConnelsville, is handling arrangements.
He was born April 13, 1915, in Berlin, to Abe C. and Cathleen (Yoder) Schrock and was married to Mary (Lindimore) Schrock for 61 years. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Carolyn Shaffer of Killbuck and Dorothy Ignacio of Millersburg; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Clara Beachy of Berlin.
F. Richard Martin
WOOSTER -- F. Richard Martin, 74, of Wooster, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Louis B. Stokes Medical Center in Cleveland, after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Schlabach Funeral Home, Shreve, with the Rev. Ted Johnston officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Shreve American Legion, Forest Post 67.

He was born Sept. 23, 1926, in Nashville to Edwin and Nettie (Bell) Martin.

DUNDEE -- Catherine M. Miller, 86, 8252 Winklepleck Road, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Monroe M. Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Miller Cemetery, Wayne Township.

She was born Sept. 27, 1914, in Indiana to Mose and Martha (Yoder) Slabaugh and married Jonas J.B. Miller on Dec. 19, 1935. He died April 2, 1991.

BREWSTER -- C. Pauline McCurdy, 78, 460 First St., Brewster, formerly of Loudonville, died Friday evening, Jan. 19, 2001, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon.

She was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Wooster to Clarence J. and Rebecca (Helmuth) Glasscock and married Charles McCurdy. He died in 1981.

RITTMAN -- Carl C. Hiles, 93, formerly of Rittman, died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Bell Manor Nursing Home in New Carlisle.

Dwight Gerber
KIDRON -- Dwight R. Gerber, 82, of Kidron, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville after a period of declining health.
Memorial services will be Friday at 7 p.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Terry Shue and Herman Myers officiating. Family graveside services will be held in the church cemetery.

RUSHVILLE -- Raymond Adkins, 81, of Rushville, formerly of Rittman, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, at his residence.

He was born March 17, 1919, in Wayne County to Charley and Fairbelle (Spence) Adkins.

His first wife, Laura (Frasher) Adkins, his second wife, Jewell M. (Perry) Adkins, died previously.
Otto Walther
ASHLAND -- Otto F. Walther, 91, 434 Leawood Court, died Sunday evening, Jan. 21, 2001, at Brethren Care Village, where he had resided for the past several months.
Services for Mr. Walther will be Friday, Jan. 26, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Ashland with the Rev. Richard Boyer officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount-Willow Hills Memorial Park in Chicago, Ill. at the convenience of the family.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Linda Walther of Ashland; a granddaughter, Anne Elizabeth Hogsten, her husband, Carl Thomas and two great-grandchildren, Trey and Hannah.

Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Henderson of Big Prairie and a granddaughter, Jara Henderson of Milligan College in Tennessee; a stepdaughter, Charolet (Roger) Hostettler of Wooster and four step-grandchildren, Michael Hostettler of Clinton, Matthew (Beth) Hostettler of West Salem, Melanie (Kirke) McKean of Wooster and Mark (Angela) Hostettler of Columbus; and seven great-grandchildren.

Ruby Fishinger
COLUMBUS -- Ruby Marie Fishinger, 72, of Columbus, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, with the Rev. Mike Tuttle officiating. Burial will be at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 11. 1928, in Holmes County, to Jesse R. and Mazie (Bell) Snyder.
Surviving are her husband, Fred G. Fishinger, to whom she had been married 53 years; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Robert Bice of Canal Winchester; two grandchildren; her mother, Mazie Snyder and nieces and nephews.

WOOSTER -- James V. Mandolin, 84, 1927 Blair Blvd., died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2001, at West View Manor Nursing Center.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Anne Marie (Ramirez) Fierbaugh, 34, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2001, at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was the daughter-in-law of William and Charliece Fierbaugh of Loudonville.
Services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Academy Christian Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. Minister Richard Crabtree officiated. Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 27, at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery in Santa Paula, Calif.
