SUGARCREEK -- Frieda L. Ladrach, 81, of Sugarcreek, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Union Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at First United Church of Christ in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Carlan Helgeson officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, or one hour prior to the services at the church.

She was born March 8, 1919, in Cleveland, to Adolf and Wanda (Schilke) Zeitz and married Adelbert J. Ladrach on Aug. 3, 1945. He died May 20, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Wayne A. (Marianne) Ladrach of Playa del Rey, Calif.; a brother, William Zeitz of Kent; two nieces and five nephews.
In addition to her husband, a brother, Arthur A. Zeitz, died previously.
Robert Isbell
WOOSTER -- Robert Isbell, 50, 224 E. Henry St., Apt. 2, died Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, at his residence from apparent natural causes.
Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Salvation Army, Wooster, with the Rev. Milton Ledford and Major Mary West officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at Chatham Township Cemetery, Spencer, at a later date.
There will be no calling hours. Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements.
He was born March 1, 1950, to Charles F. and Theresa Isbell.
Surviving are a brother, Charles F. Isbell of Bellville; and a sister, Dimie Rolape of Akron.
Helen German
SUGARCREEK -- Helen E. German, 84, of Sugarcreek, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001, at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Rev. Dwight Mason officiating. Burial will be at Union Hill Cemetery in Sugarcreek.

She was born Nov. 11, 1916, in West Virginia, to William and Leslie Mae (Jones) Nicholson and married Glen German on Dec. 12 1936. He died March 2, 2000.
Surviving are children, William (Ruth Ann) German of Sugarcreek, S. Lee (Gladys) German, Larry German and Linda (Charles) Herman, all of New Philadelphia and Patricia (Dave) Wolfe of Coshocton; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a step-grandchild; a step-great-grandchild; and a sister, Katherine Magnus of Tampa, Fla.
Jean Michael
WOOSTER -- Jean Fay (Coulter) Michael, passed into the next life on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2001. She was 79 years young. Born on Aug. 29, 1921, in Allentown, Pa., the fourth child to William and Evonna (Gardner) Coulter.
She is much loved and will be missed by her daughter, Kelly, son-in-law, James and grandchildren, Kellen and Julia Gracey, all of Wooster. She also leaves a sister, Mildred Snyder of Florida, a sister-in-law, Kathryn Coulter of Leominster, Mass., and many nieces and nephews.
In place of flowers, please help wipe out this awful disease by making donations in her name to the American Cancer Society marked for Colon Cancer Research or Hospice of Wayne County.

NORTH CANTON -- Virginia R. Unangst Sanor, 80, of North Canton, formerly of Lodi, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 27, 2001, at her home after a brief illness.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Reed Funeral Home in Canton, with the Rev. Raymond Tucker officiating. Graveside services will follow at 2:45 p.m. at Lodi Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Marion, to Fred and Ethel Garvin and married Dana Unangst. He died in 1979. She then married William Sanor. He died in 1995.
Surviving are a brother, Richard Garvin of Sandusky; and sisters, Evelyn Champaign of Hemstead, N.C., and Jo Ann Roads of Marion.
Grace Galehouse
ORRVILLE -- Grace W. Galehouse, 95, 181 Chateau Circle, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Graveside services will be this morning (Friday) at 10 at Clinton Cemetery, with the Rev. Randy Gehres officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
She was born June 15, 1905, in Freeport, to George and Ida (Parr) Lowery and married Clarence "Eddie" Edwards. He died Dec. 22, 1967. She then married D. Leroy Galehouse. He died Aug. 13, 1996.
Surviving are a son, Daniel R. (Martha) Edwards of Orrville; and two grandchildren.
Katherine Pierce
NAVARRE -- Katherine Edith Pierce, 92, of Navarre, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Doctors Hospital, after a long illness.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Atkinson-Feucht-Shaidnagle Funeral Home, 23 E. Wooster St., Navarre, with the Rev. David Harmon officiating. Burial will be at East Union Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 24, 1909, in Eighty Four, Pa., to Herman and Maude (Roberts) Ruse.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Anthony Pierce; children, Mrs. Dwight (Martha) Netzly, Mrs. Randy (Joan) Burrier, Elaine Pierce and Robert D. Emerick, all of Navarre; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Edna Patsch of Ocala, Fla., and Ada Crouch of Grove City, Pa.
Her first husband, Nelson Emerick, died previously.
Richard Weaver
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Richard T. Weaver, 77, of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at Veterans Administration Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle, Wash., following heart surgery.
Cremation has taken place.
He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Akron, to Leonard and Ada (Yahres) Clerkin and was later adopted by William and Helen Weaver of Wooster.
Surviving are children, Karla, Jan, Richelle and Lisa, all of Anchorage, Alaska and Sean of Oregon; several grandchildren; a brother, Leonard Clerkin of Cape Coral, Fla.; a sister, Jean (Weaver) Shaffer of Wooster; a half-brother, James Clerkin and a half-sister, Ada Vicari, both of Arizona.
His wife, Norma (Morgan) Weaver, died previously.
Thelma Reardon
WORTHINGTON -- Thelma Berniece "Bee" Reardon, 89, of Worthington, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at her home.
She was the mother of Michael (Stephanie) Reardon of Wooster.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St., Worthington, with the Rev. Douglas Shriner officiating. Burial will be at Forestlawn Memorial Park.

She was born March 1, 1911, in Byer, to Lincoln and Sybil (Robey) Rawlins and married James P. Reardon in 1939. He died in 1977.

WOOSTER -- Amy E. Talbert, 92, formerly of Hunters Chase Lane, died Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton.

Joseph Hershberger
APPLE CREEK -- Joseph J. Hershberger, infant son of John and Arie (Yoder) Hershberger, 12046 Dover Road, died at birth Thursday, March 1, 2001, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 1, at Yoder Cemetery, East Union Township, with Bishop Alvin Schlabach officiating.
Arrangements were handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Mae of the home; paternal grandparents, Roy L. and Anna Hershberger of Fredericksburg; maternal grandparents, Ervin E. and Mary Yoder of Apple Creek; great-grandparents, Andrew D. and Mary Miller and Effie Hershberger, all of Millersburg, Ella Yoder of Orrville and Emanuel and Mary Hershberger of Fredericksburg.
James Smetzer
NASHVILLE -- James A. "Skeeter" Smetzer, 64, of Nashville, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2001, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Bigelow United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 4-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, or one hour prior to the services at the church.

He was born Aug. 7, 1936, in Holmes County, to Hiram Albert and Gladys LuEllen (Bevington) Smetzer and married Donna Jean Reiheld on Dec. 4, 1960. She survives.

Ralph Bescher
ORRVILLE -- Ralph H. Bescher, 95, 333 Sassafras St., died Thursday morning, March 1, 2001, at Smithville Western Care Center, Wooster, after a period of declining health.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville, with Father Paul Wysocki officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.

He was born Nov. 26, 1905, in Dayton, to Frank and Maud (Denmire) Bescher and married Anne C. Caserta on June 14, 1930 in Dayton. They were married for 66 years and traveled extensively around the world until her death on Aug. 1, 1996.
Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Rod Webner of Orrville and Mary and Mike Johnson of Clarksville, Tenn., sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Peg Bescher of Mystic, Conn., and Anthony and Judi Bescher of Hernando, Fla.; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Charles Rogers
GREENWICH -- Charles "Charlie" Rogers, 75, of Greenwich, died Thursday evening, March 1, 2001, at Mercy Hospital in Willard, after a lengthy illness.
He is survived by relatives in the Wooster area.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Eastman Funeral Home, 49 W. Main St., Greenwich, with Tom McFadden officiating. Burial will be at Savannah cemetery.

He was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Adario to Ora and Rhea (Sheller) Rogers.
Surviving are children, Raymond (Alice) Rogers and Dan (Deb) Rogers, both of Willard, Bob (Sherry) Rogers of Shiloh, Dennis (Sharon) Rogers of Norwalk, Donna (Gail) Shoemaker of Plymouth, Mary (Dee) Stevens, Patti (Bill) Fishbaugh and Teri "Mooch" (Dennis) Laser, all of Greenwich; 13 grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Rogers of Bailey Lakes and Bill Rogers of North Fort Myers, Fla.
His wife, Ruth Rogers, died in 1999.

He was born Dec. 11, 1912, in Holmes County to Frank Jehu and Ella Irene (Morgan) Dye and married Dorothy Helena Gallion on April 5, 1933. She survives.

Emanuel Troyer
SUGARCREEK -- Emanuel L. Troyer, 67, of Sugarcreek, died Saturday, March 3, 2001, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Light in the Valley Chapel, with Pastor Ferman Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call tonight from 6-8 and Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the church, or one hour prior to services.

He was born Aug. 12, 1933, in New Bedford to Levi A. and Emma (Yoder) Troyer and married Edna Wengerd on Dec. 1, 1955. She survives.
Other survivors include children Aden Troyer of New Philadelphia, Wayne Troyer of Oklahoma City, Dennis (Sandy) Troyer of Shreve, Elsie (Douglas) Belt of Baltic and Mary Ann (Paul) Miller of Sugarcreek; eight grandchildren; brothers Ben Troyer of New Bedford and Melvin (Ada) Troyer of Shreve; and sisters Fannie (Dan) Troyer of New Bedford and Mary (Abe) Raber of Charm.
Levi Gingerich
FREDERICKSBURG -- Levi E. Gingerich, 84, 3758 Harrison Road, died Saturday morning, March 3, 2001, at his home after a period of declining health.
Services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Eli L. Miller officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery, Wayne County.

He was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Hazelton, Iowa, to Elias E. and Mary (Hershberger) Gingerich and married Mary J. Byler on Nov. 16, 1939. She died May 23, 1973. On Oct. 7, 1975, he married Anne C. (Miller) Bieler. She survives.
Other survivors include children Henry L. and Jacob L. Gingerich, both of Wooster, Eli L. Gingerich, Katie (Eli H.) Miller and Miriam (John M.) Shetler, all of Fredericksburg, William L. Gingerich of Hutchinson, Kan., Martha Yoder and Melinda (Eli D.) Miller, both of Holmesville; 59 grandchildren; 106 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Zook of Apple Creek.
Margaret Hunter
WOOSTER -- Margaret J. "Margie" Ogg Hunter, 76, a resident of Glendora Health Care Center and formerly of Orrville, died Friday, March 2, 2001, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital, Orrville, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home, Orrville, with the Rev. William H. Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.

She was born May 12, 1924, in Nelsonville to Alfred H. and Margaret (Lenhart) Hanning and married Carl Ogg. They were later divorced, and on June 9, 1973, she married James W. Hunter in Morgantown, W.Va. He died March 4, 1995.
Surviving are sons, Greg W. (Carla) Ogg of Logan and Jon Ogg of Akron; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; stepchildren James L. and Richard G. Hunter, Mabel (Chris) Cottrel and Lynda (Terry) Smith, all of Morgantown, W.Va., Kenneth W. Hunter of Zebulon, Ga., and Sue Ellen (Leonard) Barone of Point Marion, Pa.; nine step-grandchildren; brothers David (Kathy) Hanning and Frederick (Nancy) Hanning, both of Nelsonville; sisters Betty Willis and Esther Fussner, both of Nelsonville, and Barbara (Everett) Boggess of Florida; and 13 nephews and eight nieces.
