WOOSTER -- Mary Pauline Smith, 83, of Wooster, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at her home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Cliff Morris officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1919, in Flint Springs, Ky., to Eulin and Viola B. (Renfrow) Morris.
Surviving are her husband, Hobert L. Smith of Wooster, whom she married Aug. 15, 1940; a son, Elbert Smith of Wooster; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Franklin Morris and Elmer C. Morris, both of Morgantown, Ky., and Earl Morris of Shreve; and a sister, Lorene Butler of Wooster.

Joseph Turnage
WEST SALEM -- Stella G. Sheely Untied, 98, formerly of Sugarcreek and New Philadelphia and a resident of Coshocton County Home since 1979, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Coshocton County Home, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Welton Stein officiating. Burial will be at Dundee Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 22, 1903, in Coshocton County to Chris and Tena (Ley) Lorenz and married Sam Sheely. He died in 1942. She then married Bill Untied. He died in 1974.
Surviving are a son, Gene (Betty) Sheely of Baltic; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Porter of Wooster and Mrs. Harry (Hazel) Strudwich of Friendly, W.Va; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren and three sisters, Opal Trapp of Park Village Health Care Center in Dover, Bertha Wright of New Dawn Health Care Center in Dover and Mrs. Ben (Beulah) Hamlin of New Philadelphia.

Stella Untied

Falba Brinson
ORRVILLE -- Falba I. Brinson, 86, 14720 Fosnight Road, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at Regency Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Orrville.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel in Wooster, with Ermal Allen officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Vevay, Ind. to Wesley and Alice (Bryanton) Romans. She married Joseph L. Brinson on Oct. 21, 1935. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, Rita (Ray) Stephens of Orrville; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley Romans of Rising Sun, Ind.; sisters, Edith Kelly of Dillsboro, Ind., Bessie Scudder of Odon, Ind., Stella Bennett of Vevay, Ind., and Nadine Furnish of Madison, Ind.

Paul Falb
APPLE CREEK -- Paul Falb, 79, of Apple Creek, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at Regency Park Nursing Center.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, Wooster. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.
He was born July 29, 1923 in Dalton to Elias and Elizabeth (Lehman) Falb.
Surviving are his wife, Alverna (Jennings) Falb of Apple Creek, whom he married Nov. 26, 1992; a brother, Dennis Falb of Wooster and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Smith of Cherryville, N.C.
His first wife, Esther (Badertscher) Falb, died on Oct. 27, 1990.

Kari Fry
DUNDEE -- Kari Grace Fry, infant daughter of David W. and Fannie M. (Swartzentruber) Fry, 9913 Pleasant Hill Road NW, was stillborn Sunday, Sept. 1, 2002, at Union Hospital in Dover.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Yoder Cemetery in Dundee with Bishop Abe Schlabach Jr. officiating.
Family and friends may call anytime today or Wednesday at the Fry residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
Surviving are three brothers, Kyle, Michael and Justin Fry of the residence; grandparents, Wilbur and Ada Fry of Topeka, Ind. and Alvin and Lucy Swartzentruber of Dundee; great-grandparents, Chris and Mary Knepp of LaGrange, Ind., William and Esther Troyer of Dundee and Fannie Swartzentruber of Millersburg and a step-great-great-grandmother, Verna Mast, of Millersburg.

Gilbert Hill
CANAL FULTON -- Gilbert L. Hill, 80, of Canal Fulton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Green Township on April 7, 1922, to Samuel B. and Sylvia (Smith) Hill.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dorothy (Sorrick) Hill; son, Ronald (Margarite) L. Hill; daughter, Marilyn (Robert) Weber and sisters, Frances (Pat) Glenn of Hinsdale, Ill., Betty (Robert) Fox of Massillon and Dolly Gyenge of Akron.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, Route 93, Canal Fulton, with Dr. Paul Dunn officiating.
Friends may call tonight (Tuesday) from 6-8 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Emanuel Hochstetler
SUGARCREEK -- Emanuel E. Hochstetler, 83, of Sugarcreek Township and formerly of Barrs Mill, died Sunday morning, Sept. 1, 2002, at his home.
He was born to Eli and Mattie (Kurtz) Hochstetler on March 27, 1919 at Mount Eaton.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Anna J. (Coblentz) Hochstetler, whom he married Feb. 19, 1946; a son, Vernon (Esther) Hochstetler of Mount Eaton; two daughters, Linda (Matthew) Beachy of Dover and Miriam (Allen) Hershberger of Sugarcreek; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit anytime today (Tuesday) at the Leroy L. Erb residence, 910 Pleasant Valley Road in Sugarcreek Township.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at 9 a.m. in the Erb residence with Bishop Clarence J. Yoder conducting. Burial will follow at Yoder Cemetery, Sugarcreek Township.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.

John Meyer
JEROMESVILLE -- John C. Meyer 55, 514 County Road 1775, died at his residence, Saturday evening, Aug. 31, 2002.
He was born in Ashland on Nov. 30, 1946, the son of John J. and Nona (Powers) Meyer. On March 11, 1967, he was married to Sue Smith, who survives him.
He is also survived by a daughter, Tiffany S. Meyer and two sons and daughters-in-law, J. Michael and Erin Meyer and Damon Bryan and Jayne Meyer; five grandchildren; his parents John J. and Nona Meyer; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary E. and Rollin Cox and Anne Davis; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Chris and Sharon Meyer, Rex Meyer, Dewey and Karen Meyer, Dan and Terri Meyer all of Ashland and Paul and Kristy Meyer of Ashland, Oregon.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at 5:30 p.m. in Park Street Brethren Church Worship Center, 629 Park St., Ashland, with Dr. Arden Gilmer and the Rev. Durward Hays officiating.
Friends are asked to call in Park Street's New Life Center from 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday.
Memorials in his memory may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, Inc., 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.
Denbow-Primm-Kemery Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.

Mahala Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Mahala Miller, 95, of Walnut Creek Township, died in her daughter's home on Sunday morning, Sept. 1, 2002.
Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 7, 1906, in Holmes County to Emanuel J. and Lovina D. (Miller) Gingerich. On Feb. 26, 1926, she married David E. Miller. He died Dec. 18, 1982.
She is survived by three sons, Atlee D. (Mary) Miller of Millersburg, Roy D. (Nettie) Miller of Lott, Texas and David (Mary Ann) Miller of Millersburg; four daughters, Martha Raber of Millersburg, Nettie (Atlee) Troyer and Amanda Troyer, both of Sugarcreek and Esta (Dan) Borntrager of Millersburg; 60 grandchildren; 209 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit anytime today (Tuesday) at the Raber residence, 3468 County Road 168, Walnut Creek Township, Millersburg.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2002, at 9 a.m. in the Raber residence with Bishop Noah A. Troyer conducting. Burial will follow at Raber Cemetery, Walnut Creek Township.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.

Hemant Arya
WOOSTER -- Hemant Singh Arya, 31, 331 1/2 Nold Ave., died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Christian Church of New Beginnings in the Pathway Bible Center of Orrville with the Rev. Charles Godfrey officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church.
Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Education Fund for Aditi Jain, Diksha Jain, and Kimberly Mann at Unizan Bank, 343 W. Milltown Road, Wooster.
He was born Oct. 22, 1970, in Lucknow, India to Kunwar Singh and Santosh (Verma) Arya. He married Jacqueline Richard on July 16, 1998. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are stepdaughter, Kimberly Mann; his mother of Wooster; a sister Sunita Jain of New Delhi, India; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and cousins.

Lois Burger
DOYLESTOWN -- Lois O. Burger, 86 of Doylestown, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002, at Doylestown Health Care Center.
Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. James Humphrey officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown.
Memorial contributions may be made to Doylestown United Methodist Church, 153 Church St., Doylestown 44230.
She was born Oct. 11, 1915, in Easton to William and Christanna (Hoffman) Burger.
Surviving are sisters, Anna Nuse and Doris Whiteaker, both of Florida; and two nephews.

Alvin Hostetler
ORRVILLE -- Alvin R. Hostetler, 73, formerly of North Crownhill Road, died Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at East Chippewa Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Delbert Kettering officiating. Burial for the family will be at East Chippewa Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
He was born March 6, 1929, in Orrville to Ammon J. and Lena (Weigley) Hostetler.
Surviving are five brothers, Norman Hostetler of Marshallville, John Hostetler, Irvin Hostetler, Homer Hostetler, all of Orrville and Orie Hostetler of Lake Wales, Fla. and a sister, Isa Gochenaur of Apple Creek.

Garrison Immel
SUGARCREEK -- Garrison Immel, 93, 751 Dover Road, died Friday, Aug. 30, 2002, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, following a brief illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at First United Church of Christ in Sugarcreek with the Rev. Carlan Helgeson officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery in Sugarcreek.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Sugarcreek Lions Club or the Women's Guild of First United Church of Christ.
He was born Sept. 15, 1908, near Sugarcreek to John and Amanda (Hostetler) Immel and married Opal Sweitzer. She died July 17, 1987.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Maxine) Gerber of Sugarcreek; five sons, Doran Immel of Sugarcreek, Max (Janet) Immel, Roger Immel and Kenneth (Marlene) Immel, all of Dover, and Keith (Peggy) Immel of New Philadelphia; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Esther Hershberger of Sugarcreek.
Four sisters, three brothers and nine half-brothers and half-sisters died previously.
