WOOSTER -- Ruth G. Gillenwater, 82, formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at Sarah Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle, Pa.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. William H. Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the services.

She was born June 16, 1920, in Akron to John and Frances (Pearson) Steinhauser and married Ervin Gillenwater. He died in 1974.
Surviving are children, Richard (Mary) Gillenwater of Carlisle, Pa., and Ann (Norm) Wohlabaugh of Orchard Park, N.Y.; grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Wohlabaugh and Dan, Angie and John Gillenwater; a sister, Katherine Pfeiffer of Naples, Fla.; and a brother, John Steinhauser of Denver, Colo.
Donald Mann
BAMBERG, Germany -- R/CSM Donald E. Mann, 65, of Bamberg, Germany, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, from cancer.
Services were held today (Thursday) in Germany.
Local memorial services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Church of God on Akron Road, Wooster, with the Rev. O.J. Thompson officiating.
He was born March 22, 1937, in Burbank to Clarence and Emma (Wile) Mann.
While in Germany he met his beautiful and devoted Marianne, and they were married Oct. 18, 1957. To this union they were blessed with three children, Donna, Doren and Richard and four grandchildren. They all live in Germany.
Also mourning are sisters, Barbara (Bob) Ridgway of Wooster, Dorothy (Clyde) Maynard of Raleigh, N.C., Alice (Gerry) Stanko of Massillon, Lois (Gene) Vaubel of Apple Creek and Linda (Ed) Watson of Tulsa, Okla.; a brother, Walter "Chuck" (Cindy) Mann of Wooster; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Glenn Jolliff
WOOSTER -- Glenn S. "Zeke" Jolliff, 73 of Wooster, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at his home.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Church of the Cross United Methodist Church, with Pastor Paul Lintern and the Rev. Dr. Robert Smeltzer officiating. Burial will be at Reedsburg Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 24, 1929, in Chester Township, Wayne County, to Harold and Genevieve (Brown) Jolliff and married E. Joan Hodgen on July 9, 1950. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Barry (Amy) Jolliff of Wooster and Peggy (Paul) Lintern, of Mansfield; grandchildren, Mark and Steve Lintern and Christy, Jesse and Becky Jolliff; sisters, Vera Rouhier and Doris Young, both of Wooster and Janet Douglas of Smithville; and a brother, Clayton (Kate) Jolliff of Wooster.
Beryl Morrison
WOOSTER -- Beryl O. Morrison, 79, of Horn Nursing Home, formerly of Monroe County and Lodi, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at the nursing home.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield, with Jim Duty officiating. Burial will be at Creighton Ridge Cemetery near Sycamore Valley.

She was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Sycamore Valley to Amos and Olive B. (Smith) Mobberly and married Wilbert E. Morrison. He died Dec. 2, 1999.
Surviving are children, Martha Warner and Shirley Boreman, both of Wooster, Phil Morrison of Florida and Lonnie (Wileen) Morrison of Strongsville; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, June (John) Hester and Mona (Rolland) Bigley, both of Medina.
Sabrina Raber
MILLERSBURG -- Sabrina Faye "Sabe" Raber, 40, of Millersburg, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Akron City Hospital from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Kevin Anslow officiating. Burial will be at Nashville Cemetery.

She was born Dec. 11, 1961, in Millersburg to Elmer W. and Helen M. (Martin) Sorensen and married Ervin Raber. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Brandilyn (Jim) Proper of Millersburg and Cody Raber of the home; a grandson, Zander Proper; a brother, Gary (Vic) Sorensen of Nashville; sisters, Sonia (Tom) Cousin of Killbuck and Vanessa (Dewey) Garver of Shreve; his stepmother, Watana Sorensen of Millersburg; and many nieces and nephews who all loved her greatly.
Andrew Patterson
WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Andrew J. Patterson, 39, of Whisper Lane, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002.
He was the grandson of Louella G. Patterson of Walnut Creek.
Memorial services were held Saturday, Aug. 24, at All Saints Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Robert Gibson officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of North America, serving Orlando, Fla.
He was born in Washington Court House.
Other survivors include his parents, the Rev. Donis D. and JoAnne N. Patterson of Winter Park, Fla.; a brother, Christopher (Vicky) Patterson of Panama City, Fla.; and a niece and a nephew.
Madison McCoy
WEST SALEM -- Madison Ann McCoy, 23-month-old daughter of Carl and Denise (Stoll) McCoy of West Salem, died Saturday evening, Aug. 24, 2002, at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron.
Private family graveside services will be held at Mohican Church of the Brethren Cemetery, with Pastor Paul Bartholomew officiating.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem is handling arrangements.

She was born Sept. 11, 2000, in Wooster and is survived in addition to her parents by a brother, Andrew of the home; grandparents, Ross and Joann Stoll of North Lawrence and Harry and Therese McCoy of West Salem. She will also be missed by aunts and uncles, Allison (John) Manson and Margaret (Paul) Heban, both of Gahanna, Ron (Phyllis) McCoy of Burbank, John McCoy of West Salem, Deborah (John) Domer and Dean Stoll, both of North Lawrence and Diane (Chris Blauser) Stoll of Tipp City; and 12 cousins.
Ernest Luthi
MASSILLON -- A. Ernest Luthi, 74, of Massillon, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at his home after a period of declining health.
Private services will be Friday at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, with Father Robert Kaylor officiating. Burial will be at St. Genevieve Cemetery at Calmoutier near Fredericksburg.

He was born Jan. 10, 1928, in Lotzwil, Switzerland, to Frederick and Lydia (Grossenbacher) Luthi and married Geneva V. Merillat in May 1956. She was formerly of Fredericksburg and died Dec. 24, 1968. He then married Lilly Zuber on July 1, 1975. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Angela M. Wolfe and Joseph E. Luthi, both of Massillon, Geneva V. Yoder of Hartville and Frederick J. Luthi of Navarre; five grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Mary Anderson
APPLE CREEK -- Mary E. Anderson, 78, of Apple Creek and formerly of Goshen, died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover with Elder Glenn Carlisle officiating. (Services are being held in Dover because Toland-Herzig's New Philadelphia facility is being remodeled.) Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.

Anderson Fox of Dover, Sonja (Earl) Walters of Wooster, Debra (Tom) Baxter of Apple Creek; two sons, Jimmy (Jane) Anderson of Dover and Robert Dale (Carol) Anderson of Tuscarawas; a brother, Robert Carruthers of New Philadelphia; two sisters, Bertha Phipps of Sugarcreek and Arlene Owens of Orlando, Fla.; 21 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Violet Green
WINESBURG -- Violet Green, 80, of Winesburg, died Monday afternoon, Aug. 26, 2002, at Sunset View Nursing Home in Millersburg, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. Robert VanFossen Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.

She was born July 10, 1922, in Enterprise, W.Va., to Guy and Lola (McIntire) Metheny and married the Rev. Millard C. Green on Dec. 27, 1944. He died May 17, 2001.

KILLBUCK -- Jane Irene Masters, 57, of Killbuck, and formerly of Brewster, died Sunday evening, Aug. 25, 2002, at her home, after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 19, 1944, in Massillon and was the daughter of Donald and Blanche Edwards. On May 30, 1964, she married Gary A. Masters and he survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Gary, are three children and their spouses, Mandee and Jeff Lemon of Killbuck, Carree and Todd Miller of Walnut Creek and Bridee and Brad Maxwell of Vail, Colo.; seven grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters.
Sally Ricketts
LAKEVILLE -- Sally Lou Ricketts, 63, 152 Township Road 2650, died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 25, 2002, at Colonial Manor Health Care Center, Loudonville, after a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Craig Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery, Ashland County.

She was born May 22, 1939, in Wadsworth to Lester and Abby (McDavitt) Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Ricketts, whom she married May 16, 1959; two sons, William and Stephen Ricketts, both of Lakeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Heather and Keith Ruetter of Lakeville and Christine and Larry Lozier of Loudonville; nine grandchildren; and a brother, Jerry Jenkins of Allegany, Ore.
Oscar Roque
WOOSTER -- Oscar A. Roque, 81, of Wooster, died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at his home.
Born Nov. 18, 1920 in Cardenas, Cuba, he was the son of Oscar and Leonar (Monti) Roque.
Surviving are his wife, Nydia Maciques Roque, whom he married in 1955 in Cuba; sons, Oscar J. (Cheryl) and Fred Roque; sister, Elsa Mora; six grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. James Collier officiating. The family will receive friends in the parlor after the service.

Erna Wians
WOOSTER -- Erna Wians, 90, of Wooster, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Private services will be held. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Worthington, Ill.
Arrangements are being handled by Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.
She was born Dec. 1, 1911, in Chicago, Ill. to Leo and Lulu (Abraham) Schmidtke. She married Clarence Wians in 1935. He died March 7, 1995.
Surviving are two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
