He was born Dec. 1, 1916, in Akron, to Thomas B. and Laura E. (Daniel) Birkbeck and married Mary Catherine Primm on March 28, 1942. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a son, Thomas E. (Janine) Birkbeck of Amarillo, Texas; daughters, Sandra S. (Gerald) LaRoy of Erlanger, Ky., Alice A. (Robert) Taylor of City of Green; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a nephew.
Donald Fulmer
LOUDONVILLE -- Donald S. Fulmer, 85, 915 E. Main St., died Monday afternoon, Jan. 21, 2002, at Riverside Hospital, Columbus.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Loudonville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Pollock officiating. Burial will be at Loudonville Cemetery.

He was born March 28, 1916, in Washington Township, Holmes County, to Fred and Frances (Snively) Fulmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mozelle A. (Fisher) Fulmer, whom he married Nov. 14, 1937; his daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Blair Cummins of New York City; four foster grandchildren; a brother, Doyle "Bud" Fulmer of Loudonville; two sisters, Doris Strang and Dorothy Stake, both of Loudonville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ralph Croskey
KILLBUCK -- Ralph D. Croskey, 76, of Killbuck, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2002, at Sunset View Nursing Home, Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. John Damron officiating. Burial will be at Killbuck Cemetery with military rites conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was born March 9, 1925, in Holmes County, to Wood and Anna (Phillips) Croskey and married Virginia Fry in 1962. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Toni Marie Bush of Mount Vernon; six stepchildren, Chet Fry of Crestline, Bob Fry of Wooster, Steve Fry of Welcome, Raymond Fry of Wooster, Larry Fry of Holmesville and Grover Fry of Shreve; two grandsons; eight step-grandsons; four great-grandsons and three step-great-grandchildren.

KILLBUCK -- Marceil E. "Pat" Sheely, 79, 3551 Township Road 90, died Tuesday morning, Jan. 22, 2002, at her home, following a short illness.

Emma Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Emma Miller, 91, 3181 Township Road 406, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at her residence, following a brief illness.
Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. at the Miller residence with Bishop Noah A. Troyer officiating. Burial will be at Miller Family Cemetery in Walnut Creek Township, Holmes County.

She was born July 22, 1910, in Holmes County, to Henry J. and Lovina (Troyer) Raber and married Ben D. Miller on Dec. 25, 1930. He died Aug. 19, 1967.
Surviving are two daughters, Sarah Miller of the home and Mrs. Marty (Edna) Yutzy of Dundee; two sons, Lester (Lydiann) Miller of Millersburg and Aten (Ella) Miller of the home; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Noah (Sarah) Troyer of Millersburg and two brothers, Wyman Raber and Daniel (Emma) Raber, both of Millersburg.
Ronald Hershberger
ALLEN, Texas -- Ronald "Ron" Blair Hershberger, 55, of Allen, Texas, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2002.
He was born May 4, 1946, in Millersburg, to Howard and Norma Hershberger.
He is survived by his wife of eight months, Vicki Hershberger; daughter, Renae Hershberger of Planto, Texas; his parents of Berlin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and Verton Yoder of Wooster, Marsha and Keith Snyder of Berlin and Bonnie and Jim Mellor of Dover and stepdaughters, Holly and Jessica Forbis of Cheyenne, Wyo.

She was born Jan. 22, 1920, in Pickaway County, and was the daughter of Harry W. and Cora V. (Justus) Riffle. On Sept. 24, 1947, she married James L. Alexander and he survives.

HEATH -- Suzanne R. Yoder, 61, of Heath, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at her residence.

WOOSTER -- Frank "Fritz" Carney Jr., 68, of Wooster, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 23, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital following a short illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Delaine McGhee officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster, where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 68.

NAVARRE -- Daniel A. Hershberger, 9, 15409 Millersburg Road, died Wednesday morning, Jan, 23, 2002, at his home, following a five-month illness.
Services will be today (Friday) at 1 at the Hershberger residence with Bishop Dan Zook officiating. Burial will be at Levi Hershberger Cemetery in Dalton.

LUCAS -- Lorinne B. Snow, 93, 2135 E. Hanley Road, died Wednesday evening, Jan. 23, 2002, at Wedgewood Estates of Mansfield, after a brief illness.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Mansfield, with the Rev. Philip Banks officiating. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Lucas.

Harry Bardorf
WOOSTER -- Harry E. Batdorf, 82, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital in Wooster.
Private graveside services will take place at a later date with Chaplain Paul Donihue officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

He was born Feb. 25, 1919, in Smithville, to Charles and Blanche (Snider) Batdorf and married Estelle Hudgins on Jan. 29, 1964. She survives.

EAST GREENVILLE -- Virginia A. Berger, 95, of East Greenville, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Dalton, following a period of declining health.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton with Pastors Harry and Mary Lou Merryman and Father Robert Kaylor officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.

She was born Sept. 13, 1906, in Cloverport, Ky., to the late Henry J. and Mary Elizabeth (Mattingly) Lewis and married Lee D. Berger on June 25, 1928. He died May 20, 1987.
Surviving are four sons, Edwin James Berger of East Greenville, Robert L. (Janet) Berger of Massillon, Norbert L. (Cathy) Berger of Lebanon, and David R. (Rosita) Berger of San Antonio, Texas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
