KENT -- Velma Brotherton, 63, of Kent, formerly of Marshallville, died Sunday afternoon, Jan. 27, 2002, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Wood-Kortright Funeral Home in Ravenna. Burial will be in West Virginia.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 3, 1938, in Marshallville to Carl and Erma (Shoup) Tinsler and married Ed Brotherton. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Kenneth Brotherton of Kent and Glenda Brotherton of Rittman; three grandchildren; sisters, Mary Giffin of Smithville, Anna Terry of Virginia, Marie Brenneman of Orrville, Irene Griffith and Gladys Tinsler, both of Rittman; and a brother, Paul Tinsler of North Carolina.
Richard Capel
SEVILLE -- Richard George Capel, 80, of Seville, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at his home.
Memorial services will be Monday at 7 p.m. at Armstrong-Waite & Son Funeral Home in Seville, with Fr. Mark Hollis officiating. His body has been donated to science.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.

He was born in Salem to Burt and Barbara (Lodge) Capel.

WOOSTER -- James Lewis Peters, 50, 444 W. Larwill St., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

He was born May 29, 1951.

Joan Clevenger
MEDINA -- Joan C. Clevenger, 64, of Medina, died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002.
She was the mother of Gerald R. (Debbie) Clevenger of Rittman.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St., with the Revs. Gerald R. Clevenger and Steve Carter officiating. Burial will be at York Township Cemetery, Medina.
Friends may call today (Friday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services.

She was born Aug. 21, 1937, in Cleveland.
Other survivors include her husband of 47 years, Denzil Clevenger of Medina; sons, David A. Clevenger of Brunswick and Christopher P. Clevenger of Medina; a granddaughter; a sister, Lucille (Kenneth) Carruthers of Clarksville, Tenn.; and a brother, Roman (Judy) Poll of Grafton.
A son, Timothy P. Clevenger, died previously.

RITTMAN -- Joseph M. Hartman, 88, of Rittman, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 12:30 p.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Father David McCarthy as celebrant. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

He was born May 11, 1913, in Massillon, to Joseph P. and Mary (Schwartz) Hartman.
Surviving are his wife, Helen Hartman; sons, Ron (Bess) Hartman of Florida, and Gary (Martha) Hartman of Copley; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Clarence Hartman of Canal Fulton.
Rosanna Painter
HOLMESVILLE -- Rosanna Painter, 79, formerly of Holmesville, died Thursday evening, Jan. 31, 2002, after an extended illness. She had been living with her daughter, Patsy (James) Linscott of Wooster.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Holmesville United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Jeffery Coggins and Susan Stevens officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville.

She was born Nov. 29, 1922, in Holmesville, to Albert and Josephine (Terry) Myers and married William F. Painter on Oct. 15, 1942. He died Feb. 18, 1997.
Surviving are daughters, Patsy (James) Linscott of Wooster and Pamala (James) Riggleman of Fredericktown; a son-in-law, Thomas Bicker of Jeromesville; grandchildren, Joely Lepley, James and Jason Linscott, Jennifer McGowan, Sonya Benjaman, Colton Bicker, Whitney and James Riggleman; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Alberta Smith of Holmesville.
Austin Lehman
DALTON -- Austin Neil Lehman, 10, 13872 Jericho Road, went to be with Jesus on Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002, at his residence after a long illness.
Private family services will be held at Chestnut Ridge Mennonite Church in Orrville, with the Rev. Bruce Hamsher officiating. Burial will be at Kidron Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Eugene Winkler
WEST SALEM -- Eugene J. Winkler, 45, 12455 Overton Road, died Saturday morning, Feb. 2, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital, after becoming ill at his home.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Rittman Apostolic Christian Church, with ministers of the church officiating. Burial will be at Yost Cemetery in Congress Township.

He was born Oct. 26, 1956, in Wadsworth to Charles E. and Betty L. (Emch) Winkler and married, Deborah Reed on June 14, 1980. She survives.
Other survivors include children Matthew, Peggy and Jennifer, all of the home; a brother, Charles L. Winkler of Creston; and a sister, Charlene Winkler of Rittman.
Joan Harkins
ORRVILLE -- Joan Harkins, 74, 231 Chateau Circle Drive, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Hospice of Western Reserve in Cleveland, after a 14-month illness.
She requested that there be no services or calling hours. Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, is handling arrangements.

Surviving are children Robert Harkins of Hollywood, Fla., Patrick Harkins of Perry and Judith (Harkins) Steckel of Pittsburgh; and six grandsons.
Miriam Shoup
ORRVILLE -- Miriam W. Shoup, 81, 10734 Old Lincoln Way, died Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a one-month illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Mennonite Church, near Rittman, with Pastor Gordon Miller officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the church, or one hour prior to services.

She was born Dec. 14, 1920, in Elverson, Pa., to Levi M. and Sophia M. (Binkley) Weaver and married Arthur R. Shoup on Dec. 27, 1947, in the Philippines. He survives.
Other survivors include children Stephen (Elsie) Shoup of Mechanicsburg, Philip (Kristine) Shoup of Valkaria, Fla., Sharon (Paul) Sommers of Navarre, Dolores Shoup and Bob Berrson of Harrisonburg, Va., Barbara (Jim) Dye of Wooster and Eleanor (Timothy) Deir of Lima, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Esh of Stewarts Draft, Va.; a half-sister, Lorraine Weaver of Hawthorndon, N.J.; a stepsister, Grace (Noah) Grabill of Landisville, Pa.; half-brothers Levi H. (Mildred) Weaver of Bath, N.Y., and Irvin (Katherine) Weaver of Harrisonburg, Va.; and many nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Brenda E. Shoup, died Sept. 19, 2000.
Lucille Gasser
SEVILLE -- Lucille Gasser, 85, of Seville, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at her home.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Cemetery with Merle Hartzler officiating.

She was born March 19, 1916, in Seville to Huet and Nina (Caskey) Feesler and married Lester L. Gasser. He died Nov. 20, 1993.
Surviving are a daughter, Jane Gasser of Wadsworth; four grandchildren; brothers, Lewis Feesler of Columbus and William Feesler of Doylestown; and sisters, Mary Stolder of Bradenton, Fla., Georgia Rice of Sterling and Sylvia Auxter of Seville.
Wilbur Kilmer
ORRVILLE -- Wilbur M. Kilmer, 90, 424 W. Church St., died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville following a long period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with the Rev. Ray Pfahler officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.

He was born Jan. 24, 1912, in Nappannee, Ind., to David and Anna (Reed) Kilmer and married Esther D. Horst on Sept. 27, 1934, in Orrville. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Jeff (Sharrie) Kilmer and Steve (Freda) Kilmer and a daughter, Ellen Clark, all of Orrville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Manford Kilmer and Ralph (Barbara) Kilmer, both of Wadsworth, and a sister, Louise (Dale) Swain of Medina.
Donald Gregg
ORRVILLE -- Donald S. "Don" Gregg, 75, of Orrville and Holiday, Fla., and previously of Portsmouth, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at his residence in Orrville following a period of declining health.
A Memorial Service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home, 512 E. Oak St., Orrville, with Pastor Brad Dews officiating.

He was born Oct. 16, 1926, in Butler, Pa., to John R. and Bonita E. (Stuart) Gregg Sr.
He was united in marriage to Louella Scott Billiter on June 23, 1980, in Clintwood, Va. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Donald "Don" (Mary Lou) Gregg of Baltimore, Md.; three stepsons, James Richard "Rick" (Donna) Billiter of Orrville, Gary Franklin "Rocky" Billiter of Portsmouth and Randall Douglas "Randy" (Sandra) Billiter of San Diego, Calif.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Moses Yutzy
MILLERSBURG -- Moses E. Yutzy, 86, of 7479 Township Road 654, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2002, at his home following a brief illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at his residence with Bishop Noah Troyer officiating. Burial will be at the Yutzy Cemetery, Paint Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence.

He was born Oct. 3, 1915, in Paint Township, Holmes County, to Eli M. and Elizabeth (Mast) Yutzy and married Anna S. Miller on Jan. 5, 1939. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are seven children, Roman (Barb) Yutzy of Fredericksburg, Eli (Mary) Yutzy of Beverly, Nelson (Betty) Yutzy of Millersburg, Jacob (Mary) Yutzy of the home, Ivan (Edna) Yutzy of Millersburg, Esther (Reuben Jr.) Miller of Millersburg, and Miriam (Willard) Miller of West Salem; 33 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
