Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan and the Rev. Mike Conklin officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 19, 1930, in Wooster to Scott W. and Helen (Jones) Mackey and married Gloria A. Perret on March 1, 1962. She survives.
Other survivors include daughters, Holly (Thomas) Boreman of Smithville and Suzanne (Kenneth) Feltner of Creston; and grandchildren, Kenneth David, Jacqueline and Christopher Feltner and Madeline and Sarah Boreman.
Warren Otto
WOOSTER -- Warren D. Otto, 80, of Wooster, died Monday afternoon, Feb. 25, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a short illness.
Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial of the cremains will be at Lakefork Cemetery, Ashland County.
Arrangements are being handled by Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster.

He was born April 16, 1921, in Ashland County to George and Laura (Grace) Otto and married Bertha A. Smetzer on May 19, 1953 in Nashville. She died Aug. 7, 2000.
Surviving are children, Paul W. (Diana) Smetzer and Betsy (Daniel) Miller, both of Wooster and Laura (George) Willisman of Beaver, Ky.; six grandchildren; brothers, Clarence and Lee Otto, both of Big Prairie; and a sister, Pearl Boley of Wooster.
Freeman Troyer
MILLERSBURG -- Freeman W. Troyer, 85, of Millersburg, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 26, 2002, at his home after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Levi Sommers officiating. Burial will be at Martin's Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grace Mennonite Church, or one hour prior to the services.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.

He was born Aug. 31, 1916, in Millersburg to Joe and Cora (Zuercher) Troyer and married Emma Crilow. She died Sept. 1, 1961. On June 30, 1966, he married Mary Kandel. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Frances Rector of New Philadelphia, Verena Garber of Dennison, Marlin Troyer of Hartville and Julia Troyer of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, John Troyer of Delavan, Ill., and Clarence Troyer of Millersburg.
Esther Wade
ORRVILLE -- Esther M. Wade, 86, formerly of 309 Mohican Ave., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, after a lingering illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Randall Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6:30-8:30 at the funeral home.

Esther was born June 29, 1915, in Millersburg to Theodore and Lelah C. (Lemmon) Bishop and married H. Franklin "Speck" Wade on June 9, 1937. He died Nov. 12, 1979.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy (Lloyd) Jenkins of Orrville; a grandson, Douglas Wade of Wooster; a step-grandson, Lloyd (Lisa) Jenkins Jr. of Clinton, Ind.; sisters, Mid Turner and LaVonne "Bunny" Lorson, both of Orrville and Mary Yankello of Wooster; brothers, Nathan A. "Bud" (Carol) Bishop and David M. (Bert) Bishop, both of Orrville; and nieces and nephews.
Vera Scott
LOUDONVILLE -- Vera M. Scott, 87, 117 W. Butler St., died Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at Samaritan Regional Health System in Ashland.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Fickes Funeral Home in Jeromesville, with Pastor Ed Graves officiating. Burial will be at Dickey Cemetery.

She was born April 7, 1914, in Ashland County to Cleveland and Eva (Baldner) Sellers and married Carl Scott on Aug. 9, 1936. He survives.

Martha Barath
AKRON -- Martha M. Barath, 72, of Akron, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman. Burial will be at the Apostolic Cemetery in Rittman.

She was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Wayne County to Raymond and Louise (Rupp) Rake.

Ruth Shields
ARDEN HILLS, Minn. -- Ruth Stratton Shields of Arden Hills, Minn., died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, two days before her 94th birthday.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 2, at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Mount Vernon.

Ruth was born Feb. 11, 1908, in Wakeman and married James H. Shields in 1929. He died in 1954.
Surviving are children, David (Sue) Shields of Burnsville, Minn., Allan (Anita) Shields of Santa Fe, N.M., and Margaret (David) Gueulette of De Kalb, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Alfred Johnson
WOOSTER -- Dr. Alfred H. Johnson, 93, of Wooster, passed away Tuesday night, Feb. 26, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.

Surviving are children, Judy K. Jewell of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jennifer (David) Patterson of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Brian Jewell and Amanda Fath; a sister, Betty Carmichael of Shreve; a brother, Bob Frye of West Alexander, Pa.; and a dear friend and companion, Thelma Way of Wooster.
Raymond Scheufler
WINESBURG -- Raymond D. Scheufler, 73, of Winesburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Church in Winesburg, with Pastor Jason Strong officiating. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery in Winesburg.

He was born Dec. 7, 1928, near Winesburg, to Karl and Anna (Hochstetler) Scheufler and married Mary Jane Feikert on Dec. 31, 1955. She survives.

Leo Paridon
LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Leo James Paridon, 76, of LaGrange, Ga., died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2002, at Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan, Ga.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown, with Father Thomas Chambers, celebrant and Father David McCarthy, assisting. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, where the rosary will be at 2 p.m.

Mr. Paridon was born May 13, 1925, in Doylestown, to Anthony Joseph and Anna Rayle Paridon.

UCSON, Ariz. -- William H. Cicconetti, 81, 856 E. Grant Road, Tucson, Ariz. 85719, formerly of Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2002.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline; children, Alice of San Jose, Calif., Rex and Ted, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Erma Schleich
WALNUT CREEK -- Erma G. Schleich, 91, a resident of Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, for the past five years, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002. She was formerly of North Olmsted.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, with the Rev. Larry Black officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted.

She was born July 29, 1910, in Altoona, Pa., to Alvin and Gertrude (Atherton) Grove and was married to Byron Schleich for 59 years. He died in 1997.
Surviving are children, Dennis (Nancy) Schleich of Westfield Center, Thomas Schleich of Galion, Loren Schleich of New London and Gary (Sandy) Schleich of Olmsted Falls; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Paul Grove of Florida.
