APPLE CREEK -- Edna L. Beeghley, 69, of Apple Creek, died Thursday, March 7, 2002.
Graveside services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Akron, with the Rev. Harvey Greathouse officiating.
Friends may call at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, state Route 93, Canal Fulton, on Sunday from 3-5 p.m.
She was born in Murfrance, W.Va.
She is survived by husband, Edward; five children, Marge (Roger) McEndree of Doylestown, Nona Dempsey of Apple Creek, Tyann Nelson of Barberton, David Beeghley of Apple Creek and Dan Beeghley of Marshallville; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Thomas (Wanda) Lambert of Akron and many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn Davis
WOOSTER -- Marilyn Frances Davis, 68, of Wooster, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a short illness.
A Memorial service will be held at St. James Episcopal Church on Sunday, March 17 at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Muskogee, Okla.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 127 W. North St., Wooster 44691 in her memory.
Marilyn was born in Muskogee, Okla. on March 25, 1933, to George R. and Florence V. Dismukes. On May 18, 1955, she married Robert Dodge Davis. He survives.
She is survived by her husband of the home, Robert Dodge Davis, and her three children, Ruth and Dr. Charles Brown of Wooster, Jonathan of Kremmling, Colo. and Richardson and Amy of Palm Harbor, Florida; seven grandchildren and several first cousins.
McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home in Wooster is handling local arrangements.
Bradley Funeral Service in Muskogee is in charge of arrangements in Oklahoma.
Dorothy Maurer
BALTIC -- Dorothy Maurer, 74, 203 Short St., died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Baltic Country Manor, after an extended illness.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek, with the Revs. Greg Clay and Weldon Stein officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Baltic.
Friends may call today (Sunday) from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County or St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Fiat.
She was born Feb. 7, 1928, in Harrison County to Harry and Lucy (Willison) Carruthers and married Ernest A. Maurer on Aug. 3, 1946. He died April 17, 1984.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Edith) Farver of Fresno and Mrs. Clyde (Connie) Toland of Baltic; three sons, Albert "Mike" (Kathy) Maurer of Baltic and Ronald Maurer and Ernest Maurer, both of Fresno; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Bonnie) Carruthers of New Philadelphia and James (Pearl) Carruthers of Orlando, Fla.; and three sisters, Mrs. Melvin (Arlene) Owens of Orlando, Fla., Mrs. Leale (Mary) Anderson of Wooster and Mrs. William (Bertha) Phipps of Sugarcreek.

WOOSTER -- James C. "Jim" Starn Sr., 61, 357 Bardon St., entered into rest Saturday morning, March 9, 2002, at his residence, after a short illness.
Services will be Monday at 8 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, with Chaplain Robin Myers officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be two hours (6-8 p.m.) prior to services.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691.

He was born in Wooster on Oct. 15, 1940, to Robert Starn Sr. and Mary (VanLieu) Starn.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Mary Baughman of Millersburg; three sons, James C. "Jimmy" (Hope) Starn Jr. of Wooster, Brian "Scott" Starn of Wayne, W.Va., and Chad Morris of Wooster; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Rhonda Kaye) Childers of Greenup, Ky.; two brothers, Robert Starn Jr. of Winesburg and Tom Starn of Holmesville; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Mary Beth) Dauterman of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Jerry (Joann) Spitler of Holmesville; three grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews; 20 great-nieces and nephews.
J.D. Wisner
WOOSTER -- J.D. Wisner, aka Bubba, was born to Evelyn and Robert Wisner in Hannibal, Mo. on April 2, 1923. He died Friday, March 8, 2002.
In 1995, he married Leta Shultz. Besides his wife, Leta, he is also survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Laura of Las Cruces, New Mexico; a son a daughter-in-law, Don and Sharon of Grand Haven, Mich.; and two grandsons.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Green Funeral Home, Wooster.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home with the family in attendance from 7-9 p.m. only. Burial will be at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint, Michigan.

Laura Yoder
WALNUT CREEK -- Laura R. Yoder, 94, of Walnut Hills Nursing Home and formerly of Berlin, died Saturday morning, March 9, 2002, after an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Faith Lutheran Church in Millersburg, with the Rev. John Wanamaker officiating. Burial will be at the Berlin Cemetery.

She was born May 18, 1907, in Charm to Benjamin and Martha (Miller) Miller and married Wilber Yoder on June 4, 1931. He died April 10, 1994.
Surviving are four children, Gene Yoder of Newark, Faun and husband, Kue Brand of Trail, Gary Yoder and wife, Elizabeth, of Newark and Ruth and husband, John Radney of Warrensville Heights; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
John March
RITTMAN -- John E. March, 86, of Rittman, formerly of East Liverpool, died Friday, March 8, 2002, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Born April 30, 1915, in Newell, W.V., he was a son of Lindsey and Mary (McGillvery) March.
His wife, Dorothy A. Simms March, died Nov. 9, 1997. The couple was married June 17, 1942.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Judith) Blevins of Rittman; along with twin sons, John L. (Margaret) March of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jerrold E. (Judith) March of Stow. In addition, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home, 215 W. Fifth St., East Liverpool, where services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Richard Lapehn officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
A Masonic service will be Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
After the funeral service, family and friends will gather for fellowship at the Dawson Family Center, 220 W. Fifth St., East Liverpool.

Lela Derr
WOOSTER -- Lela Derr, 91, 2595 Eastwood Drive, died Saturday evening, March 9, 2002, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 25, 1910, in Apple Creek to Fred and Maude (Smedley) Buss and married Alvin "Skip" Derr. He died in 1985.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Donna Derr, Jackson Township, Stark County; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Dick Parker of Wooster; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Hilda Bonnell
HILLSBORO -- Hilda Eileen Bonnell, 79, of Hillsboro, died Friday evening, March 8, 2002, at the Greenfield Area Medical Center.
She was born February 23, 1923, in Wooster, the daughter of the late Earl and Faye (Lindsey) Howman.
She is survived by her husband, Cliff Bonnell, whom she had married on June 27, 1943, in Wooster; one son and daughter-in-law, retired Army Lt. Col. Kenneth L. Bonnell and his wife, Bonnita of Marysville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Janet Butler and her husband, Basil of Chloe, West Virginia, Darlene Cadle of Scottsville, Virginia; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Opal Peacock of West Salem, Wanda Glasgo of Smithville, and Donna Flickinger of Wooster and four brothers, Donald Howman of Smithville, Lyle Howman of West Salem, Weldon Howman of Wooster and Larry Howman of Florida.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. tonight (Monday) at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Dan Lamb will officiate. Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

HOLMESVILLE -- Abe J.R. Yoder, 88, of the Holmes County Home, died Saturday afternoon, March 9, 2002, at the Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg following an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Gray Ridge Church with the Rev. James Butler officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

He was born Oct. 20, 1913, in Holmes County to Jacob and Bertha (Thompson) Yoder and married Katie A. Miller on Nov. 23, 1939. She died March 24, 1991.
Surviving are four children and their spouses, Mary and Jonas Raber of Millersburg, Edna Hostetler of Goshen, Ind., David and June Yoder of Millersburg and Levi and Susie Yoder of Coshocton; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Henry Gast
MEDINA -- Henry W. Gast, 78, of Medina, died Sunday, March 10, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman with the Rev. John W. Castle officiating. Private burial will be at Burbank Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 11, 1923, at Burbank to Wesley and Elizabeth (Wallace) Gast and married Wilma Walker. She died in 1998.
There are no immediate survivors.
William Graff
SEVILLE -- William L. "Bill" Graff, went home to the with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2002, at Akron General Medical Center following a short battle with cancer.
He was born Nov. 30, 1948, in Wadsworth.
He is survived by wife, Cathy (Keltz) Graff, whom he married Nov. 17, 1973; children, Lisa (Jim) Taylor of Wooster, Timothy (Lena) Graff of Coraopolis, Pa.; grandson, James Taylor Jr. "J.T."; parents, Gloria Scanlon and Louis Graff of Wadsworth; brothers, Richard of Wadsworth and Thomas (Susie) of Seville; an uncle and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Hilliard & Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 Lyman St., Wadsworth.
Funeral Service will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Seville United Methodist Church, 74 W. Main St. The Rev. Philip N. Wilden and the Rev. Larry Wilgus will be officiating. Interment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

CHATHAM -- Kenneth J. Siman, 85, of Chatham, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, at his home following a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Chatham Community Church, 6423 Avon Lake Road, Chatham, with Pastor Michael Boehm officiating. Burial will be at Chatham Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 14, 1917, at Fenns Corners in Medina Township to Louis and Charlotte (Rohde) Siman and married Phyllis Grim on Dec. 25, 1940. She survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Charlotte "Toot" (Tom) Nesbett of Wellington; Sally (Roger) Geiser of Wooster and Judy Miles of Falls Church, Va.; sons, Charles (Joyce) Siman and Dan (Diane) Siman, all of Chatham, and six grandchildren.
