WOOSTER -- James K. Mattox, 84, 313 Russell Circle, Wooster, died Saturday morning, Jan. 24, at his home. Memorial services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Revs. John Mueller and James Watt officiating. Burial will be in Loyalton, Calif. at a later time. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, 243 E. Liberty St., Wooster 44691.

BIG PRAIRIE -- Paul B. Starner, 68, 4625 Township Road 222, died Saturday, Jan. 24, at his home following an extended illness. Services will be Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg with the Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Church Cemetery in Glenmont. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Wolf Creek Baptist Church in Stillwell, with the Revs. Galen Honabarger and Mark Paxton officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. ORRVILLE -- Walter W. Schmid, 79, 430 OrrVilla Drive, Apt. 502, Orrville, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, after a long illness. Memorial services will be Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Orrville Mennonite Church, with the Revs. John and Barbara Moyer Lehman and David Miller officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery near Smithville. Friends may call today (Monday), Jan. 26, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville. WOOSTER -- Maxine D. Brubaker, 84, formerly of Wooster, died Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998, at Laurel Lake in Hudson, from complications with kidney failure and cancer. She had been on dialysis for 10 years. Services will be Saturday, Jan. 31, at Roberts Funeral Home, Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. Alan Nathan officiating. Entombment will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call two hours prior to the services. CLARK -- Richard W. Wagers, 70, of Clark, died Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 1998, at his home after an extended illness. COLUMBUS -- Helen O. Metz, 91, died Sunday, Jan. 25, in Columbus, where she had lived for more than 52 years. Services will be held Tuesday in Columbus. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Canaan Lutheran Cemetery. RITTMAN -- Foster L. "Sam" Baker, 89, of Rittman, died Monday, Jan. 26, at Barberton Citizens Hospital. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rittman United Methodist Church, with the Rev. F.D. Donaldson officiating. Graveside services for the family will be Wednesday morning at Wayne Presbyterian Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
