DOYLESTOWN -- Elizabeth "Betty" Langguth, 95, of Doylestown, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 27, 2002, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Doylestown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James H. Humphrey officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 2-5 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Doylestown United Methodist Church, "Growing the Vision" campaign, 153 Church St., Doylestown 44230; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born May 4, 1906, in Akron, to Alfred and Almina (Iseman) Clark.
Surviving are a daughter, Jacqueline R. "Jackie" (Charles William "Bill") Kiel of Doylestown; daughters-in-law, Loretta Langguth of Doylestown and Mavis Langguth of Barberton; grandchildren, Catherine Ann Kiel, Janet Elaine Gresh, Nancy Lynn Maupin, Frederick Charles Langguth II, Charles Michael Kiel, Jacquie Lynn Petit, David Howard Kiel; and great-grandchildren, Jeremy Matthew Gresh, Julia Lynn Gresh, Jodie Lynn Hughes, Michael Langguth, Mikki Langguth, Jeffery Allen Petit, Charles Louis Kiel, John Frederick Petit, Robert Carl Kiel, William Kiel Maupin, Matthew Michael Kiel and Danielle Cathleene Kiel.
Her husbands, Charles Herman Langguth and Frederick P. "Fritz" Langguth, died previously.

Francis Hillebrecht
MASSILLON -- Francis L. "Frank" Hillebrecht, 78, of Massillon, Perry Township, died peacefully at his home Tuesday evening, March 26, 2002, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home in Massillon, with the Revs. Glen Shedlock and James Mock officiating. Entombment will be at Garden of Reflection Mausoleum at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 325 3rd St., SE, Massillon 44646.
He was born Nov. 20, 1923, in Wheeling, W.Va., to William F. and Helen Hillebrecht Sr. and was married to Iola (Bucher) Hillebrecht for 54 years. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Gene (Sue) Hillebrecht of Orrville and Shirley Lominac of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren, Christopher and Holly Hillebrecht of Orrville; and a brother, William F. (Dorothy) Hillebrecht Jr. of Wadsworth.

Alice Carpenter
DOYLESTOWN -- Alice Carpenter, 59, of Doylestown, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002.
Memorial services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, with the Rev. James Smith officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333.
She was born Dec. 25, 1942, in Tennessee, to Guy and Bertie (Rich) Hamby and married Rommie Carpenter. He survives.
Other survivors include children, Connie Hamby of Ravenna, Penny (Tim) Booth and David Carpenter, both of Doylestown, Rommie (Shelly) Carpenter of Ellet, Kirk (Rhonda) Carpenter of Wadsworth, Robbie (Jeff) Paridon of Minnesota and Missy (Gary) Bogdanski of Rittman; 19 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother of Tennessee; three brothers; and five sisters.

John Lutz
MANSFIELD -- John Robert "Red" Lutz, 71, 686 Annfield Drive, died Wednesday morning, March 27, 2002, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital, after an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors in Mansfield, with Vicars Amy Little and Mary Anne Powrie officiating. Burial will be at Mansfield Memorial Park, where military rites will be held.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 5-8 at the funeral home, where a wake service will be held at 7:45 p.m. by Father John Jorden.
He was born March 13, 1931, in Perrysville to John F. and Eva Mae (Ayers) Lutz and was married to Nancy (Starner) Lutz for 46 years. She survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Brenda (J. Patrick) Barile of Galion; grandchildren, Dylan and Kelsi; sisters, Maxine Smith of Mansfield, Donna (Paul) Fortune and Emma Fortune, both of Mifflin, Marcella (Carroll) Beasley of Widowville and Lucille Spring of Winchester Nursing Home; brothers, Dale Lutz of Lima and Marion (Carol) Lutz of Ashland; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Bonnie Spiker
LODI -- Bonnie Raye Spiker, 48, 733 LaVista Road, North, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Cleveland Clinic, of complications from a lung transplant.
Private family services will be held. Murray Funeral Home in Creston is handling arrangements.
She was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Medina to Robert H. and Patricia (Hall) Ruf.
Surviving are a son, Todd (Robin) Spiker of Creston; a grandson; her father of Lodi; sisters, Linda (Bernie) Hamrick of Brunswick, Carol (Lanny) Piper of Lakeland, Fla., and Kathy "Kip" (Robert) Greathouse of Medina; and a brother, Robert (Loretta) Ruf of Brunswick.

Kenneth Sanders
DOYLESTOWN -- Kenneth L. Sanders, 88, 95 Black Drive, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Barberton Hospital.
Services will be Saturday at noon at Newton Falls First Congregational Church. Burial will be at Newton Falls Cemetery.
Friends may call two hours prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by James Funeral Home, 8 E. Broad St., Newton Falls.
He was born June 22, 1913, in Tamaqua, Pa., to Elmer and Esther (Flexer) Sanders and married Mary Catherine Barnett on July 25, 1948. She passed away May 28, 1995.
Surviving are a son, Jim Sanders of Barnesville, Pa.; grandchildren, Patricia (Jack) Cowgar of Doylestown, Lou Ann Aguilera of Miami, Fla., Randy Caldwell of Newton Falls, Michael Caldwell of Lordstown and Bart Caldwell of Champion; 18 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis Collins
APPLE CREEK -- Phyllis P. Collins, 69, of Troxell Drive, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at her residence.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with Pastor Clyde Ondrizek officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions may be made to Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, P.O. Box 761 Wooster 44691, to help defray expenses.
She was born Feb. 4, 1933, in Plain Township to Harry and Gladys (Rastetter) Greegor and married Harold L. Collins. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Steven (Tina) Cholley and Stan Cholley, both of Wooster; a stepdaughter, Rebekah (James) Burkholder of Wooster; grandchildren, Kyle (Carrie) Cholley, Jennifer and Heather Cholley, Joshua Moore; great-grandchildren, Brooke and Trent Cholley, Cearria Moore; and a sister, Connie (Kenneth) Justice of Shreve.
A son, Jay Michael Cholley, her parents, and a sister, Donna Jean Greegor, died previously.

Lisa Ennis-McIe
LODI -- Lisa Lou Ennis-McIe, 35, of Lodi, died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Cleveland Clinic after a short illness.
Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi with Pastor Tim Neptune officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 3-6 at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1966, in Webster Springs, W.Va., to Roger and Lula (Meadows) Clayton.
Surviving are her husband, Frank; daughters, Anna and Ashley, both of the home; her parents of Lodi; sisters, Terry (Bernie) Ashley of Medina and Gerri (Dave) Burton of Maineville; a grandmother, Ocie Clayton of Webster Springs, W.Va.; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Leonard Horst
MASSILLON -- Leonard D. Horst, 69, 14478 Barrs St., died Wednesday, March 27, 2002, at Akron General Medical Center after a period of declining health following heart surgery.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at East Union Mennonite Church near Orrville, with David Horst and C.N. Neuenschwander officiating. Burial will be at County Line Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m. or Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at East Union Mennonite Church, or one hour prior to the services.
Arrangements are being handled by Auble Funeral Home in Orrville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Betty Grace Horst Fund or Christian Aid Ministries, in care of Maple Hill Mennonite Church, 15084 Church Road, Dalton 44618.
He was born Feb. 14, 1933, in Dalton to Ray and Rhoda M. (Burckhart) Horst and married Eva Jane Martin on Oct. 28, 1958. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Rose Anne (Clayton) Amstutz and Lois (Wesley) Good, both of Dalton, Samuel Horst of Massillon, Barry (Marilyn) Horst of Sauk Centre, Minn., Elwood (Wilda) Horst and Dale (Gwen) Horst, both of North Lawrence, Betty Grace Horst of Massillon, Garneta (Olen) Steiner of Apple Creek, Janice (Charlen) Weaver of Xenia, Ill., Doris (Brian) Nisly of Partridge, Kan., David (Regina) Horst of Loma, Colo., Gloria (Clayton) Zimmerman of Wellsboro, Pa., Myrna Horst of Orange, Va., Joyce (Nevin) Good of Orrville, Galen (Yalonda) Horst of Snover, Mich., and Curvin (Janelle) Horst of Wakarusa, Ind.; 47 grandchildren; brothers, Willis (June) Horst of Big Prairie and Mervin (Ardella) Horst of Dalton; and sisters, Vanita (Raul) Tadeo of Dalton and Emma Grace (Paul) Kauffman of Plain City.

Virginia Porr
SMITHVILLE -- Virginia M. Porr, 78, of Prospect Street, died Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Akron General Medical Center following complications from pneumonia.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Smithville with the Rev. Dr. Theodore H. Rust officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 6-9 at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smithville Historical Society, P.O. Box 12, Smithville 44677; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born May 10, 1923, in Rittman to Frederick and Ruey (Shibler) Albers and was married to Albert Porr for 37 years. He died in 1979.
Surviving are children, Fred (Roni) Porr of Wooster, Mike Porr, Sandy (Larry) Allen and Patti Doshak, all of Smithville and Curt (Kay) Porr of Pickerington; grandchildren, Dave, Ken, Doug, Adam and Amy Porr, Kyle and Kelli Baker, Matt, Chris, Jon and Andy Allen; great-grandchildren, Katlyn, Garrick and Alyssa Allen and Braden Porr.

Caroline Power
WOOSTER -- Caroline M. "Cherry" Power, 77, of Wooster, died Thursday morning, March 28, 2002, at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to Power Education Fund in care of Sacred Heart School, 320 Fair Ave., NE, New Philadelphia 44663; or to St. Mary School, P.O. Box 109, Wooster 44691.
She was born Jan. 26, 1925, in Wooster to Michelangelo and Elisena (Gentile) Bonadio and married Jesse D. Power on April 26, 1946. He died Oct. 15, 2000.
Surviving are children, Dana M. (Terri) Power of Upper Arlington, Kevin T. (Susan) Power of Wayne County and Scott M. Power of Dover; grandchildren, Pamela, Robert, Julie, Rachel, Luke and Jared; sisters, Pauline Jacobs of Wooster and Angela Turman of Tennessee; and a brother, Vincent Bonadio of Medina.

Jeanne Kirk
WOOSTER -- Jeanne M. Kirk, 74, of Wooster died Thursday morning, March 28, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. Hoythe Wilheim officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691. A loving group of women who were there for the Kirk Family at every turn during her illness.
Jeanne was born Oct. 1, 1927, to James Stanley and Marcella (Hilty) Morrison.
Surviving are her husband, Dick M. Kirk; children, Jane K. Fisher, Stephen M. Kirk, James M. Kirk and Bonnie K. Daugherty and their spouses; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie M. Mowry of Albuquerque, N.Y.

Archie Layton
PERRYSVILLE -- Archie P. Layton, 78, 940 Township Road 2408, died Friday morning, March 29, 2002, at his home after a long illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Lighthouse Chapel in Lucas, with Pastor James R. Conn officiating. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery, where military services will be conducted by Richland County Joint Veterans Council.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio, 1605 County Road 1095, Ashland 44805.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Tunnelton, Pa., to Thomas and Harriet (Bowmar) Layton.
Surviving are his wife, Carol (Fortney) Layton, whom he married on Nov. 26, 1992; a daughter, Tiffany (John) Conn of Lexington; stepchildren, Laurie (Doug) Hergatt of Mansfield and Scott Livingston of Perrysville; three step-grandchildren; brothers, John W., Perry R. and Dale Layton, all of Sunbury, Lee R. Layton of Prospect and Chuck L. Layton of Chesterville; and sisters, Lovell U. Pyle of Naples, Fla., Lillian J. Dewalt of Xenia, Nellie Salyers of Columbus, Shirley Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Roxie Basford of Groveport.
His first wife, Louise (Dean) Layton, died in 1988.

Paul Clason
WEST SALEM -- Paul "Hap" Clason, 83, of West Salem, died Friday, March 29, 2002, at Akron General Medical Center.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with Pastor Robert Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Congress Cemetery, where military rites will be held.
Friends may call Monday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Congress Community Church Building Fund, 192 N. Main St., West Salem; or to Northwestern Ruritan, Marilyn Stephenson, 5959 W. Pleasant Home Road, West Salem 44287.
He was born Aug. 1, 1918, in Congress Township, to James and Ethel (DeLong) Clason and married Esther Reba Billheimer on Nov. 2, 1938. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Donald (Peg) Clason of Mentor; Frank (Linda) Clason of Newbury, Cal (Sandrea) Clason of Wooster and Susan (Stanley) Kirkpatrick of West Salem; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester and James Clason, both of Wooster, Lester Clason of West Salem and Robert Clason of Tennessee; and sisters, Naomi McKee of Cambridge, Donna Jean Mark of Wooster and Phyllis Webb of Rittman.

Katie Stutzman
HOLMESVILLE -- Katie J. Stutzman, 83, departed her earthly residence to spend eternity with her Lord on Thursday evening, March 28, 2002, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with Pastors Don Hamsher and Wilbur Hershberger officiating. Burial will be at Gray Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 26, 1918, in LaGrange County, Ind., to Joseph J. and Mary A. (Miller) Stutzman.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
