Carl Garman
CRESTON -- Carl R. Garman, 84, 220 S. Crestview Drive, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Smithville-Western Care Center, following a lengthy illness.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston with the Rev. James McCurdy officiating. Burial will be at Jackson Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Creston Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 181, Creston 44217.
He was born July 2, 1918 in Barberton to John and Clara Mae (Casenhiser) Garman and married Florence A. Wolgamott on Oct. 1, 1952 in Creston. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1942-1945 serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
He was a self-employed drywall contractor for 25 years.
He was a member of Creston Presbyterian Church where he had served on the Church Session and had made his home in Creston for over 50 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Cindy and her husband, Del Baker of Smithville and Wendy Garman of Creston and two grandchildren, Amy and Adam Baker.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Milo and sisters, Delphia Musser, Minnie Porr, Helen Winkler and an infant sister.

Paul Stombaugh
WOOSTER -- Paul Franklin Stombaugh, 82, of Wooster, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at his home.
Services will be held at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bernard Hosfeld officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster on Friday from 7-9 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association, Northeast Ohio Chapter, 23715 Mercantile Road, Suite B104, Beachwood 44122 in his memory.
Born December 3, 1920 in Tallmadge, he was the son of Thomas and Blanche (Spigelmire) Stombaugh.
He served with the U.S. Army during World War II.
He had worked for Bogner Construction as a carpenter for 34 years and previously at the Gerstenslager Co. He was a member of Carpenters Local No. 69 for 45 years.
Surviving are daughters, Donna (William) Rowan of Wooster, Marie Walton of Orrville, Teresa Lester of Apple Creek; a son, Stanley of Holmesville and a daughter-in-law, Linda Stombaugh of Navarre; grandchildren, Dawn, Nicole and Mary Rowan, Andy, Paul and Ross Walton and Erin and Doug Rohr; great-grandchildren, Danny and David Rohr and special caring friends, David Meister and Phil Enzerra.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Gloria Mary (Bonkowski) Stombaugh, on July 21, 2002, whom he had married July 18, 1942, a son, Terry and brothers, Floyd and Dean Stombaugh.

John Botkin
WOOSTER -- John W. Botkin, 83, of Canaan Center Road, Wooster, went to be with his Lord Wednesday, February 5, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital, following a period of declining health.
Services will be held at McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St. in Wooster on Saturday, February 8, at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Darryle Moody officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691 or the building fund of the Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene, 1235 Back Massillon Road, Orrville 44667.
He was born May 21, 1919 in Orrville to Ralph O. and Helen (Franks) Botkin and married Marjorie Spitler on June 2, 1940. She survives.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army from November 1943 to November 1945. Trained as a heavy machine gunner and scout, he reached the rank of Sergeant. He participated in the European, African and Middle Eastern Theaters of operations and was awarded several medals, including three Bronze Stars for bravery and courage under fire, from three major battles. He was part of Company M 120th Infantry, 30th Division and the 230th heavy artillery division.
He worked at The Gerstenslager Company from 1940 to 1972 and at Curry Lumber for several years.
He was a member of Wooster Church of the Nazarene most of his life, serving as youth leader, Sunday School teacher, music director and soloist, singing on Wooster radio WWST many Sunday mornings. He was devoted to his wife, his family and his country, but his highest allegiance was to his God.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Betty Jean (Stanley) Snyder of Wooster; a son, Jerry (Carol) Botkin of Orrville; a brother, Roger, of Conyers, Georgia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Richard and Frank.

Mary Feltes
ORRVILLE -- Mary C. Feltes, 83, formerly of Wayne Street, Orrville, died Wednesday, February 6, 2003, at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster.
Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville with Father Ronald J. Turek officiating. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
There will be no public calling hours.
The family suggests contributions may be made to the Edwin and Mary Feltes Memorial Fund, in care of Orrville Hospital Foundation, 832 S. Main St., Orrville 44667.
Arrangements are being handled by Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville.
She was born March 9, 1919 in Cincinnati to J. L. and Carrie (Gosling) Kirst and married Edwin J. Feltes on February 3, 1943. He died March 1, 1999.
Mrs. Feltes was a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph College in Cincinnati.
She and her husband moved to Orrville in 1950 and she was a faithful and active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Orrville. She was an active school volunteer and a former member of the Nomad Club. She was an avid gardener, a seamstress and she loved traveling. She was also a loving grandmother.
Surviving are sons, Joseph J. Feltes of North Canton and Dr. Tim (Tami) Feltes of Columbus; daughters, Tess (Mark) Moses, of Portsmouth, N.H., Sara (John) Paulich of Naples, Fla., Gretchen Feltes of New York City, N.Y. and Lisa (Richard) Long of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Paul and Adam Feltes, Cory and Josey Feltes, Jacob, Eric and Anya Moses, John and Nathan Paulich and Rachel Long; a brother, Joseph Kirst of Fort Thomas, Ky. and sisters, Frances Kathman of Cleves and Betty Macke of Cincinnati.

Eli Miller
FREDERICKTOWN -- Eli J. Miller, 86, 7400 Waterford Road, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 5, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be today (Friday) at 9 a.m. at his residence. Burial will be in Brenneman Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Van Hove Funeral Home in Ashland.
He was born April 5, 1916 in Holmes County to Jacob J. and Sarah (Miller) Miller.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mahala Miller; a daughter, Esther Keim of Round Rock, Texas; a son, Ammon Miller of the home; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, a sister and a grandchild, died previously.

Mary Miller
BIG PRAIRIE -- Mary Y. Miller, 23, 12848 County Road 316, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron.
Services will be Sunday at 9 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Adrian Byler officiating. Burial will be at Raber Cemetery, Holmes County.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve.
She was born July 6, 1979 in Wooster to Yost H. and Mary (Raber) Miller.
She attended the Old Order Amish Church and the Holmes County Training Center.
Surviving in addition to her parents of the home, are two brothers, David (Ella) Miller of Brinkhaven and Roy (Edna) Miller of Big Prairie; three sisters, Amanda (Abe D.) Raber of Big Prairie, Mattie (John) Troyer of Walhonding and Clara Miller of the home; her step-grandmother, Sarah R. Raber of Howard and many nieces and nephews.
Her paternal and maternal grandparents died previously.

Richard Miller
MESA, Ariz. -- Richard L. Miller, 70, of Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Doylestown, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, from complications of a stroke and diabetes.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Heartland Home Health Care and Hospice, 1661 E. Camelback Road, Suite 200, Phoenix, Ariz. 85016.
He was born in Findlay and was a graduate of Mount Union College in Alliance and earned his masters degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
He was a teacher and coached golf, football, basketball and softball at Chippewa High School in Doylestown for 19 years.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carole and Daniel Wayne of Mesa, Ariz., sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Stacey Miller of Smithville and Todd Miller of North Lawrence; five grandchildren; a sister, Lyn Cook of Mansfield and his former wife, Barbara Miller of Mesa, Ariz.

Jean Pritchett
WOOSTER -- Jean Elizabeth Pritchett, 77, of Wooster, died Thursday, February 6, 2003, at Horn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Monday, February 10, 2003, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Janet Burkhart officiating. Interment will follow in Wooster Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster on Sunday evening from 7-9 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Wayne-Holmes Diabetes Association, in care of Vicki Slater, 2713 Congress Road, Wooster 44691, in her memory.
Born November 21, 1925 in Wooster, she was the daughter of Warren S. and Nina (Lawrence) Ackerman.
She was a homemaker and had worked for the former Woolworth Co.
She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ where she was a member of the Lydia Martha Circle and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose and had served as chaplain. She was an avid bowler.
Surviving are her husband, Robert G. Pritchett, to whom she had been married for 41 years; daughters, Suzanne (Kevin) McLain of Oregon, Cynthia (Louis) Czibor of Wooster; grandson, Brandon Pritchett; granddaughters, Ashley Fries and Emily Bateman; brothers, Donald, David and Daniel Ackerman and a sister, June (Richard) Louttit, all of Wooster.

Michael Wilson
WOOSTER -- Michael L. Wilson, 32, of Wooster, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, in the emergency room at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Browning officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born June 21, 1970 in Meadeville, Pa. to Kenneth James and Wanda (Hogue) Wilson.
He worked as a salesman for R&L Used Auto Mall.
Surviving are his father James Wilson and his wife, Wendy of Huntsville; brothers, Kenneth J. (Darlene) Wilson of Sidney and David A. (Cathie) Wilson of Canton; sisters, Linda (Richard) Louttit of Lodi, Carol Ann (Douglas) Hacker of West Milton and paternal grandparents, Orpha and James W. Eaton of Harrisville, Pa.
His mother, Wanda Wilson, died in 1991.

Margaret Dando
MILLERSBURG -- Margaret P. Dando, 87, of Millersburg, died Thursday evening, Feb. 6, 2003, at Akron City Hospital in Akron, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Millersburg United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karl Stonebraker officiating. Burial will be at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven, Pa.
Friends may call from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Millersburg United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 5395 Township Road 336, Millersburg 44654 or the Holmes County Home, 7260 State Route 83, Holmesville 44633.
Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
She was born July 28, 1915, at Ocean City, N.J. and was the daughter of Walter Lee and Mary (Clark) Smith. She married Clyde T. Dando and he preceded her in death.
She was a member of Millersburg United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two children, Lee T. Dando of Millersburg and Patricia and husband, Doug Broemsen of Medina; a granddaughter, Rachel Broemsen and a sister, Helen Platt of Aston, Pa.
Two brothers, Charles Smith and Lee C. Smith and a sister, Ruth Rodgers, died previously.

Eulah Johnson
MANSFIELD -- Eulah Naye Johnson, 79, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at Glendora Health Care Center, Wooster.
Services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.
She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Columbus to Edward A. and Martha (Washington) Henry.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Zappone of Ashland and a sister, Genevieve Grande of Cape Coral, Fla.
Her husband, Samuel Johnson, died previously.
