Forde Steele
PEORIA, Ariz. -- Forde Uhl Steele, 90, of Peoria, Ariz. died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Boswell Hospital in Sun City, Ariz.
Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Millersburg.
Arrangements are being handled by Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, Ariz.
He was born July 26, 1912 on a farm south of Millersburg to John Earl and Jessie (Uhl) Steele and married Eileen Aultman on Dec. 21, 1935. She survives.
He graduated from Carnegie Melon Institute of Technology in 1935. He worked at Central National Bank of Cleveland for 38 years and retired as senior vice president in 1973.
He and his wife moved to Sun City, Ariz. in 1974. He enjoyed traveling and taking slides of each trip.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Dr. Forde Ronald Steele of Reno, Nev.; Barbara (Dr. James) Kadel of Portsmouth, Dr. John Steele of Greenville, Pa. and Frederick Steele of Phoenix, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
A brother, Richard Steele and three grandchildren, died previously.
Joseph Strehl Jr.
ASHLAND -- Joseph L. Strehl Jr., 72, of Ashland, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2003, at The Good Shepherd Home in Ashland.
A Memorial Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Saint Stephens Catholic Church, 44 Britton St., West Salem with Father Carl Uhler officiating.
Friends may call today (Monday) from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home, 210 Medina St., Lodi.
He was born May 26, 1930 in Owensboro, Ky. to Joseph and Agness (Campbell) Strehl.
He was a former Sullivan resident and also has resided in Alverado, Texas.
He was a former employee at General Motors in Parma, where he had worked for 33 years.
He was a member of St. Stephens Catholic Church in West Salem and was a World War II Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ann; sons, Joseph III of Texas, Eugene and Gregory (Denise), both of Rittman and three grandchildren.
His first wife, Irene, died previously.
Stella Bailey
HOLMESVILLE -- Stella "Ted" Bailey, 87, of Holmesville, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Holmesville Church of Christ, with the Revs. Brian Powell and Don Campbell officiating. Burial will be at Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
She was born April 18, 1915, in Holmesville to Frank and Rosa (Boley) Lowe and married Clarence Bailey on March 6, 1939, in Greenup, Ky. He died Dec. 15, 2001.
She was a member of Holmesville Church of Christ for 75 years and Holmes County Senior Center. She was well known for her poems at church and loved to play euchre.
Surviving are a son, Richard Bailey of Holmesville; a sister, Margie Lowe of Holmesville; many nieces, nephews and cousins, who love her dearly and will miss her.
Four brothers and four sisters died previously.
Darlene Blanchard
SAN DIEGO -- Darlene Kay Blanchard, 53, of San Diego, formerly of West Salem, died Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003, at her residence.
Family graveside services will be held at a later date at Fairhaven Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
She was born March 14, 1949, in Canton to Earl D. Blanchard and Betty Van Fossen.
She received her bachelor of arts degree in 1972 from Case Western Reserve University and her master of science degree in 1978 from the University of Florida.
She was a clinical nurse specialist and pediatrics pulmonary gastroenterology nurse practitioner and was a member of American Thoracic Society and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She had also made her home in New Orleans and Sacramento, Calif.
Surviving are brothers, Robert D. Blanchard of Wooster and Daryl W. Blanchard of West Salem; and a sister, Charlene Willits of Massillon.
Norma Hershberger
BENTON -- Norma S. Hershberger, 78, of Benton, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Majora Lane Care Center, Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Martin's Creek Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Carl Wiebe officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.

She was born March 27, 1924, in Holmes County to Lawrence and Olive (Miller) Hershberger and worked at Regal Ware in Wooster.
Surviving are brothers, Merle Hershberger of Killbuck and Paul Hershberger of Millersburg; and sisters, Jean Spurgeon of Killbuck and Linda Wengerd of Dover.
A brother, Dale Hershberger, died previously.
John Hocker
LODI -- John E. Hocker, 74, of Lodi, died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2003, at Medina General Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Lodi United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lodi.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Parker & Son Funeral Home in Lodi, where Masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m.

He was born March 21, 1927, in Galion to Oscar and Laura (Eichhorn) Hocker and married Mary Anne Wilhelm. She survives.
He was a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he was a member of OSU Alumni Association and moved to Lodi in 1956. He was District Conservationist for Medina County with the Department of Agriculture from 1952-92.
He was a member of Lodi United Methodist Church, Galion Masonic Lodge 414 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and was a charter member of Lodi Ruritan Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Melissa (Robert) Laughlin of Lodi; three grandchildren; and a brother, Howard Hocker of Galion.
A sister, Suzanne Schiller, died previously.
Ida McCrobie
ORRVILLE -- Ida M. McCrobie, 78, formerly of Chateau Circle, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Lowell Gerber officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
She was born April 21, 1924, in Point Marion, Pa., to George and Mable (Simpkins) Newman and married James P. McCrobie on Aug. 14, 1943, in Cumberland, Md. He died in September 1970.
She had made her home in Point Marion, Pa., and was employed at West Virginia University Medical Center in the custodial department. She moved to Orrville 13 years ago.
Surviving are children, Richard (Katie) McCrobie and Donna Booth, both of Orrville; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Jill Gould and Ruth Watson, both of Morgantown, W.Va.
In addition to her husband, a great-grandson and two brothers died previously.
Patricia Muskoff
WORTHINGTON -- Annamaye Pfister, 81, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Mayfair Village Nursing Center.
Loving wife, mother and grandmother. Born April 3, 1921, in Columbus. Long-time resident of Wooster.
Graduate of Ohio State University, class of 1942 and earned a master's degree in vocal music in 1943. Taught vocal music and language arts for more than 25 years, she touched many lives and will be missed by many.
Preceded in death by parents, John C. Hull and Elizabeth Hull Zulauf.
Survived by husband of 48 years, James Pfister; daughters, Kaye (Mark) Willi of Worthington and Beverly (Michael) Davis of Clifton, Va.; and beloved grandchildren, Diana Davis and Brian Willi.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 N. High St. (half a mile south of I-270), where the rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Road, with Msgr. John Johnson as celebrant. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
Elizabeth Sherrick
WOOSTER -- Elizabeth R. Sherrick, 91, of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
Private family services will be held at New Pittsburg Cemetery, with the Rev. Susan Lausch officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.

She was born July 27, 1911, in Wooster to Andrew and Susan (Demjen) Roman and married Hugh I. Sherrick on Jan. 16, 1930. He died in 1967.
She was a graduate of Kinney-Knestrick School of Nursing and was a registered nurse at Orrville Osteopathic Hospital and Wooster Community Hospital.
She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Surviving are daughters, Betty Wintersteen and Carol (John A.) Ladrach, both of Wooster; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a brother, Louis Roman of Hayesville.
In addition to her husband, brothers, Andrew Roman Jr. and Steven Roman, sisters, Esther Lausch, Rose Welsh and Ethel Roetman, died previously.
Roy Snyder
COSHOCTON -- Roy J. "Red" Snyder, 74, 12 Medbery Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at his home.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Given-Dawson Funeral Home in Coshocton, with Pastor Dan Loomis officiating. Burial will be at Roscoe Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Coshocton County.
He was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Orrville to Roy and Effie (Brennaman) Snyder and was married to Gwenn Snyder on Sept. 1, 1976. She survives.
He was a graduate of Orrville High School and had attended Kent State University for three years. For eight years, he worked at Westfield Insurance Co. and moved to Coshocton in 1959, when he purchased Jacobs Insurance Co. and was owner until his retirement.
He was a member of Coshocton Elks Lodge 376, member, past president and past board member of Coshocton Town & Country Club and Coshocton County Sportsmen's Club, where he was a life member.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Rex R. (Debbie) Snyder and Lynn L. (David) Roenbaugh, both of Coshocton, Steve C. Snyder of Columbus and Rebecca O'Connor of Milton, Mass.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Gary Bosley
MASSILLON -- Gary W. Bosley, 59, of Massillon, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Feb. 10, 2003, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, after a courageous four-week battle with cancer.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Faith Community Fellowship, 1303 9th St., SW, Massillon, with Pastors Mark Engel and David Kimberly officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Cemetery in Mount Eaton.
Friends may call Friday from 4-8 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
He was born Nov. 14, 1943, in Massillon to James and Ethel (Reed) Bosley and married Ruthann Steyer on April 21, 1973 in Fresno. She survives.
Gary attended Dalton High School and was a 1961 graduate of Orrville High School. Following graduation, he attended Kent State University and Malone College. In 1968, he graduated from Pittsburgh School of Mortuary Science and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1969-71.
He was employed at Wappner Funeral Home in Mansfield for 10 years and retired from Prentice Funeral Home in Akron.
Gary was a member of Canton First Friends Church and Christian Funeral Directors of Ohio. He loved the Lord and was a devoted, caring husband and father. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are sons, John James "J.J." Bosley of Canton and James John "Jami" Bosley and his fiancee, Lori Puglia, both of Akron; a brother, Dewey (Molly) Bosley of Schenectady, N.Y.; a sister-in-law, Mary Lou Bosley of Rittman; his mother-in-law, Emma Steyer of Massillon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, a brother, Marshall Bosley and his father-in-law, John Steyer, died previously.
