Agnes Starcher
DOYLESTOWN -- Agnes L. Starcher, 78, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with the Rev. Richard Perrigo officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
She was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Birmingham, Ala. to John and Lizzie (Sanders) McArthur and married Emery Starcher on Nov. 9, 1956. He survives.
She was a member of Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting stuffed animals and doll babies.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a sister, Doris Stiles of Alabama; a brother, Melvin McArthur of Alabama; several nieces; nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
A son, James Hone, two sisters and a brother, died previously.
Lonny Starcher
ORRVILLE -- Lonny L. Starcher, 68, 1751 West Hill Drive, and formerly of Marshallville, went to be with the Lord on Friday evening, Feb. 21, 2003, at his residence, following a long illness.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville with Steve Healea officiating. Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service Wednesday.

Lonny was born on Jan. 23, 1935, in Akron to Pleasant and Earles (Wilmoth) Starcher and married Janet L. Lechner on July 18, 1954 in Barberton. She survives.
He attended Dalton Schools, graduated from Smithville High School in 1953 and served in the U.S. Navy.
He worked for the last 28 years for Mast-Lepley in Wooster.
Lonny was a member of the North Main Street Church of Christ in Orrville and enjoyed spending time with his family. He was also a former emergency medical technician and firefighter and previously served as the fire chief for the Marshallville Fire Department.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Ginny (Don) Lingle of Smithville, Susan (Ronald) Truex of North Canton, and Bonny Starcher of Huntersville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Timothy, Robert and Matthew Truex, Jeremy Wimer and Casey Lingle, and a sister, Evelyn Adams of Clearwater, Fla.
He was preceded in death by both parents, an infant son, Lonny Leon Starcher Jr. and two brothers, Millard and Donald Starcher.
Janet Featherstone
WOOSTER -- Janet Lee Featherstone, 641 Beechwood Drive, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital, after a 10-month battle with a brain tumor.
She was born March 28, 1953 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Harry and Donna (Winters) Featherstone.
Janet graduated from Tipp City High School, Tipp City, Ohio, in 1971. In 1978 she graduated with the 6th Way Corps, a Biblical research, teaching and fellowship ministry. She graduated from the Dayton School of Practical Nursing in 1984 and worked in nursing homes and facilities for the developmentally disabled in Ohio and Texas.
She attended Tarrant County Junior College, Fort Worth, Texas, and was inducted into their chapter of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She graduated from the University of Akron in 1995 with a bachelor of science in nursing and was a member of Sigma Theta Tau International nursing honorary. She had worked at Gruter Foundation, Wooster Community Hospital and most recently Apple Creek Developmental Center. She was also working toward a master's degree in art therapy. She was a certified aquatic instructor and lifeguard, and had taught aquacize classes at Ellen Shapiro Natatorium.
Living the love of God and demonstrating it through her art was her avocation, native talent and great joy. She had painted murals on windows at Ellen Shapiro Natatorium, Creston Library and in the Children's Sunday School section of the United Methodist Church of Wooster, as well as many other art projects, including some with STEPS and the Wayne Center for the Arts.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her son, Samuel Gibson, her daughter, Jessica Boykin (and her walking companion, Fudgie, a Labrador retriever) of the home, sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Bob Musil, nieces and nephew, Jessica, Dawn and Mark Musil of Flagstaff, Arizona, a brother and sister-in-law, James and Patricia Featherstone, nieces and nephew, Holly, Caleigh and Daniel Featherstone of Delaware, Ohio, and aunt and uncle, Winnie and Fred Underwood of Fort Myers, Florida, as well as many other relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be announced later by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.

Mary Lecky
WALNUT CREEK -- Ruth D. Bostick, 95, of Massillon, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at Roselane Health Care Center in Massillon.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve.
The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born July 12, 1907 in Wayne Township, Wayne County to M.S. and Cora (Woodward) Miller and married Charles Bostick. He died previously.
She had been employed at the Wooster Brush Co. and retired from Nye's Department Store.
She was a member of the Canton Order of Eastern Star No. 190.
Surviving are a son-in-law, Gene Wright of Palm Bay, Fla., with whom she had made her home; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, five children, Sonny and Paul Cameron, Clarissa Owens, Francis Wright and Clarence Albert Parcell Jr., died previously.
Levi C. Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Levi C. Miller, 85, 6932 County Road 407, died Sunday afternoon, Feb. 23, 2003, at his residence, following an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the residence with Bishop Ervin Schlabach officiating. Burial will be at Raber Cemetery, Mechanic Township.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.

He was born Dec. 28, 1917, in Holmes County to Crist B. and Amanda (Yoder) Miller and married Clara M. Miller on Nov. 9, 1939. She died Nov. 27, 2002.
He was a member of Old Order Amish Church and was a retired hickory rocker maker.
Surviving are four daughters and their spouses, Anna and Ervin Hershberger of Dalton, Mary Ann and Andy Erb of the home, Amanda and David Hershberger and Verna and Lester Miller, all of Beach City; three sons and their spouses, Crist and Nettie Miller of Millersburg, Mahlon and Lizzie Miller of Mount Hope and Eli and Sarah Miller of Dalton; 33 grandchildren; 85 great-grandchildren; a brother, Atlee C. Miller of Sugarcreek and a sister, Amanda and husband, Roy D.M. Miller of Millersburg.
Two sons, a daughter, four brothers, three sisters and a great-grandson died previously.
George Parcher
PERRYSVILLE -- George L. Parcher, 87, of Perrysville, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Grady Memorial Hospital, Delaware, after an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Howard Burnett officiating. Burial, with military honors conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Perrysville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of service in the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 5, 1915, in Crestline, to Clarence E. and Nellie M. (Baehr) Parcher.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, had been a Perrysville resident since 1969, living previously in Marion, Nevada, Mansfield, Huron and Port Clinton.
He worked at Huber Manufacturing, Mansfield Reformatory, Pepsi Cola, and retired from Mansfield Plumbing in 1980.
He was a member of Perrysville Baptist Church, Perrysville Lions Club, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion.
He is survived by his daughter, Sally L. Hiner of Perrysville; his son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Peggy Parcher of Warren; a granddaughter; a great-granddaughter and a sister, Martha Daniel of Bucyrus.
His wife, Mary E. (Laird) Parcher, whom he married Sept. 1, 1940, died Jan. 26, 2003. Three brothers also died previously.
Emanuel Schrock
APPLE CREEK -- Emanuel A. Schrock, 78, of Apple Creek, died Saturday evening, Feb. 22, 2003, in the emergency room of Dunlap Hospital in Orrville, after being taken there from his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 4451 S. Kansas Road, Apple Creek, with minister Luke Troyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call (tonight) Monday from 6-8 and on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
He was born Dec. 18, 1924, near Farmerstown to the late Abraham and Elizabeth (Yoder) Schrock and married Rebecca Hershberger on April 19, 1951. She survives.
He made his living as a blacksmith most of his life and enjoyed forging ornamental wrought iron crafts during his retirement years.
He was a member of Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ Mennonite near Apple Creek.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are 10 children, Elizabeth (Prem) Khemchandani of Dalton, Eli (Elva) Schrock of Freeport, Abraham (Janella) Schrock of Gentry, Ark., Erma (Kelvin) Gable of Apple Creek, LeRoy (Priscilla) Schrock of Center, Colo., Miriam (William) Coblentz of Fredericksburg, Mary (Samuel) Lehman of Murray, Ky., Martha (Bryan) Unruh of Dundee, Philip (Anna) Schrock of Dalton and Regina (Glenn) Troyer of Fredericksburg; 41 grandchildren; his stepmother, Anna B. Schrock of Maryland; five sisters, Edna Burger of Bowerstown, Anna Troyer of Millersburg, Sarah (Abe) Troyer of Apple Creek, Amanda (Nelson) Miller of Millersburg and Lizzie Ann (Harry) Yoder of Millington, Md.; a sister-in-law, Sarah Schrock of Missouri; three brothers, Jonas (Ella) Schrock of Millersburg, Andy (Saloma) Schrock of Catlett, Va., and Wayne (Edna) Schrock of Sioux Lookout, Ontario and a brother-in-law, Peter L. Miller of Sugarcreek.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Rachel, two brothers and two sisters.
Mae Volanti
WEST SALEM -- Mae (Celaschi) Volanti, 85, of West Salem, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at the home of her daughter in LaGrange.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 8 p.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with Pastor Bill Powell officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery, Parma.
Friends may call two hours prior to the services on Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 1, 1917, in West Virginia to Charles and Virginia (Conard) Blake.
She was a homemaker all her life.
Surviving are four children, Beverly Wojcik of Cleveland, Janet (Richard) Bakston of Georgia, John (Pat) Celaschi of Cleveland and Paula Tompkins of LaGrange; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five stepchildren, Thomas F. (Cindy) Volanti of Kansas, Rose Lee (Rick) Mullins of North Carolina, Eleanor (Ed) Ellson of Cleveland, Francis (Fred) Meeks of Cleveland and Michael A. (Natalie) Volanti of North Dakota and 12 step-grandchildren.
Her first husband, Paul Celaschi, died in 1969. A son, Paul L. Celaschi died in 1995 and her second husband, Thomas Volanti, in 2001.
Rutha Boyes
RITTMAN -- Rutha J. Boyes, 95, of Rittman, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Rittman Cemetery, with the Rev. Ron Heasley officiating.
There will be no calling hours. Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wadsworth-Rittman, 102 Main St., Suite 304, Wadsworth 44281.
She was born July 3, 1907, in Fort Gay, W.Va., to Michael J. and Georgia A. (Wellman) Peters and married Asa Boyes. He died in 1996.
She had lived in Rittman since 1924 and was employed at the Dolly Madison Co. as a packer.
She was a former member of Rittman First Baptist Church.
Surviving are children, Mrs. Robert (Julia) Staley and Dorothy Terry, both of Rittman and Gary (Mary) Boyes of Wadsworth; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, a son, Perry Boyes, died in 1996.
Miles Curl
LIMA -- Miles R. "Jerry" Curl, 73, of Lima, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He is survived by several relatives in the Loudonville area.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk, with the Rev. Linda Stafford officiating. Burial will be at Dunkirk Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where Eastern Star services will be held at 7 p.m.
He was born July 2, 1929, in Kenton to Miles R. and Mildred (Williams) Curl Sr. and married Glenna M. Dessenberg on Dec. 25, 1950. She died Jan. 18, 1998.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. In 1991, he retired from Conrail and was a member of the Hanover Lodge in Loudonville and Shreve Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a brother, Barney (Dot) Curl of Lima; sisters, Helen (Henry) Bice of Flint, Texas and Madeline Curlis of Naples, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, a son, Robert Allen Curl, brothers, Harry and Minor Curl and a sister, Nancy Burnworth, died previously.
Lawrence Harrison
WOOSTER -- Lawrence E. Harrison, 94, of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. James Collier officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born April 17, 1908, in Wayne County to Harry and Alice (Peebles) Harrison and married Martha Harmon. She died May 28, 1982.
He was a farmer in Wayne County and during his retirement, had worked for Ray and Carolyn Dix.
He was a member of the State and National Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Associations.
Surviving are a son, Harold (Thelma) Harrison of Jeromesville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, a brother, Russell Harrison, died previously.
