WOOSTER -- Dora M. Massaro, 93, 1633 Burbank Road, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at her home.
A Service of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with Father Patrick Henry as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Those who wish may make contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born April 23, 1909, in Collepietro, Italy to Bernard and Emilia (Cicconetti) Coccia and married John B. Massaro on Feb. 13, 1930. He died in 1951.
She came to the United States in 1912, and worked in food service at Wooster Community Hospital and The College of Wooster. She retired from the library at the age of 80.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.
Surviving are sons, Richard "Rich" Massaro of Marshallville and Thomas Massaro of Deerfield Beach, Fla.; daughters-in-law, Betty Massaro of Wooster and Dona Massaro of Dalton; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Rotondo of California; and a half-brother, Albert Iannarelli of Arizona.
In addition to her husband, sons, Roger and Anthony Massaro, a grandchild, Andrea Lindman, a sister, Cecelia Calabrese, a brother, Anthony Coccia and a half-sister, Connie Wasson, died previously.
Eli Miller
SUGARCREEK -- Eli E. Miller, 69, 10759 Gerber Valley Road, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Union Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with Bishop Albert J. Hochstetler officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Sugar Creek Township.
Friends may call anytime at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
He was born July 3, 1933, in Holmes County to Joe D. and Emma (Weaver) Miller.
He was employed at Kaufman Realty and had operated the former Eli Mower Shop. He was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving are his wife, Esther (Miller) Miller; children, Ernest Miller of New Philadelphia and Myrna Faye (Roy) Miller of Sugarcreek; five grandchildren; brothers, Aden Miller of Lamar, Mo., Ivan Miller of Holmesville, Joe Miller Jr. and Atlee Miller, both of Sugarcreek; and sisters, Verna (Abe) Keim of Millersburg and Alma (Jerry) Yoder of Alamo, Texas.
Floyd Slater
WOOSTER -- Floyd R. Slater, 87, formerly of 491 McClure St., died Thursday evening, Feb. 20, 2003, at West View Manor Nursing Home.
Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at West View Manor, with the Rev. Dale Ru Lon officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.
He was born April 12, 1915, in Jeromesville to Perry and Mae (Rowland) Slater and was married to Enola (Rumph) Slater for 61 years. She survives.
He was a retired printer and worked at the water control plant for the City of Wooster.
Other survivors include children, Elizabeth Walker of Waynesboro, Pa., Julie Slater of San Diego and Mark R. Slater of Akron; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Vera Kuntz of Wooster and Zella Kuntz of Ashland.
Earl Stauffer
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Earl D. Stauffer, 87, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2003, at Golden Years Homestead in Fort Wayne, Ind. He was formerly of Orrville.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Fort Wayne, Ind. Burial will be at Leo Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 2-5 and 7-9 at D.O. McComb & Sons, Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born in Berne, Ind., and was an engineer with the General Electric Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1974.
He was past president of the General Electric Quarter Century Club, was a former Lions Club member for 15 years and a member of Peace United Church of Christ.
Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Divelbiss of Leo, Ind.; three stepdaughters; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
His wives, Mary Stauffer, died in 1990 and Edith C. Stauffer in 2000. Brothers, George Stauffer and Noah Stauffer Jr., also died previously.
Ellen Baughman
WOOSTER -- Ellen Jean Baughman, 71, 179 Oldman Road, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Glendora Health Care Nursing Center in Wooster.
Private burial will be with her husband at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster.

She was born Nov. 7, 1931, in Nettie, W.Va., to James L. and Flossie (Jarvis) Harris and married R.H. "Steve" Baughman on Aug. 7, 1962. He died Aug. 12, 1983.
She attended Richwood, West Virginia Public School Systems and after spending many years in nursing and home health care, Ellen and Steve co-owned Baughman TV Sales & Service until his death.
Surviving are children, Tammy Martin and her husband, Jerry of Wooster and Jennifer Wolf and her husband, Carter of Boonton, N.J.; a granddaughter, Rachel Martin; brothers, James L. Harris, Jack Harris, David Harris and Randy Junior Harris and sisters, Billie Sue Ware, Marie Harris and Edna Simahuski.
In addition to her husband, her parents and sisters, Peggy Keaster and Ruth Oliver, died previously.
Barbara Farnsworth
WADSWORTH -- Barbara Jane Farnsworth, 59, of Wadsworth, went home to be with her Lord Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Akron City Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Bethany Friends Church, 8127 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, with the Rev. Bill Powell officiating. Burial will be at River Styx Cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-9 and Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at Waite & Son Funeral Home, Medina Chapel, 765 N. Court St.

She was born Dec. 13, 1943, in Grassy Creek, W.Va., to Raymond I. and Mary Thomas and married Harold R. Farnsworth. He survives.
She had made her home in Medina County for 50 years, was a homemaker and a business partner with Harold Farnsworth Auctions. She was a librarian at Medina County Library and was instrumental in the founding of Hinckley Library.
She was a member of Bethany Friends Church, River Styx Garden Club, Creston Garden Club and Farm Bureau.
She was an avid bird watcher and beekeeper. She dearly loved and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Gerald (Christine) Farnsworth and Jane Farnsworth, both of Wadsworth and Lisa (Shawn) Juscak of Akron; grandchildren, Shawn, Alexis, Michael and Justin; sisters, Velma (Jim) Arndt of Creston, Bernice (Ralph) Jones of Sarahsville, Anna Belle (Bob) Wever of Mitchell, Ind., and Mary Kreiner of Medina; and a brother, Raymond (Laurie) Thomas of Medina.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Bernard Thomas, died previously.
Lawrence Harrison
WOOSTER -- Lawrence E. Harrison, 94, of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Dr. James Collier officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born April 17, 1908, in Wayne County to Harry and Alice (Peebles) Harrison and married Martha Harmon. She died May 28, 1982.
He was a farmer in Wayne County and during his retirement, had worked for Ray and Carolyn Dix.
He was a member of the State and National Brown Swiss Cattle Breeders Associations.
Surviving are a son, Harold (Thelma) Harrison of Jeromesville; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, a brother, Russell Harrison, died previously.

WOOSTER -- Walter E. Fries, 78, of Wooster, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Jack Ross officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Thursday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 5:45 p.m.

He was born Dec. 27, 1924, in Marion, Ill., to Henry Oscar and Olivia (Uhley) Fries.
He was a field supervisor for Halliburton Oil Well Services for 38 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Mount Carmel, Ill., where he was a deacon and Ebenezer Lodge 33 F&AM.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Imogene (Payne) Fries; children, Judith A. (Joseph) Bandock of Olympia, Wash., Debra K. (Phillip) Grounds of Columbus, Rebecca L. (Keith A.) Wilson of Stafford, Va., August D. (Nonie) Fries and Stanley G. (Debbie) Fries, both of Wooster; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Hank Fries of Pittsburg, Calif., and Clarence Fries of Mesa, Ariz.; and sisters, Pauline Jennings of Golconda, Ill., Darlyn Sheppard and Juanita Riggs, both of Herrin, Ill.
A grandchild, two sisters and two brothers died previously.
Katharine Irvin
WOOSTER -- Katharine Lucile (Moore) Irvin, 84, of Woodland Avenue, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2003, at Wooster Community Hospital.
There will be no services or calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster, is handling arrangements.

She was born Oct. 18, 1918, to Andrew J. and Hazel (Sands) Moore and married James Lowell Irvin on May 4, 1941. He survives.
She was a 1935 graduate of Wooster High School, attended The College of Wooster and received her nursing degree from Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus.
Katharine was a registered nurse, working at the former Beeson Hospital, Wooster Community Hospital and was a private nurse. In 1970, she retired from the Wooster Clinic .
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Valley College Grange for many years.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are children, Suzanne (William) Baumgardner of Morgantown, Pa., Phillip L. (Ann) Irvin of Wooster and Roger C. (Patti) Irvin of Ashland; grandsons, Tadd (Kaitlyn) Irvin of Denver, Colo., Shawn Irvin of Dayton and David Irvin of Wooster; a brother, Harold (Mimi) Moore of Wooster; and sisters, Betty Hall of Chicago and Marian Wise of Burbank; and nieces and nephews.
Her parents, brothers, Cyril and Raymond Moore and Andrew Moore Jr., a sister, Hazel LoGiudice and a niece, Lisa Moore, died previously.
God alone knows how many souls she touched with her tender healing hands, warm and caring heart and kind words.
Mary Martin
COLUMBUS -- Mary Grace Martin, 76, of Columbus, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Road, Columbus, with Father James T. Smith as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Lockbourne.
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, where a prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m.
She was born Jan. 6, 1927, in Newark, N.J., to Henry and Frances Schaan and was raised in Wooster.
She retired from Discover Card and enjoyed dancing, working with arts and crafts, traveling and reading.
She was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church.
Surviving are children, Ronald D. Martin and Rodger K. (Cindy) Martin, both of Dallas, Seana M. (Rick) Hartman of Johnstown, Renda Stevenson of Gahanna and Ryan S. (Elaine) Martin of Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Anne (Zeke) Conkle.
Her husband, Richard Martin and sons, Richard Martin Jr. and Randall Martin, died previously.
