SOUTH EUCLID -- Rose A. (Cook) Gest, 88, of South Euclid, entered into rest on Monday, March 17, 2003.
She was the dearly beloved wife of Therlow C. (deceased), loving mother of Carolyn G. Morgan of Wooster, Marilyn G. Ilcin of Willoughby Hills, Kathryn (Thomas) Suchan of Witcha, Kan. and Patricia Suchan (deceased) and son-in-law, Ken Suchan of Wooster; loving grandmother of 13, including John Suchan and Karen Suchan Winans, both formerly of Wooster and great-grandmother of 24; dear sister of Mary Kathryn Korach (deceased) and Jane Cook (deceased), dear aunt of Bobbie Egensperger.
She was retired administrative assistant at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital of University Hospital in Cleveland.
Memorial Mass will be Saturday, April 26 at 11 a.m. at St. Noel Church, 35200 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills.
There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church immediately following the mass.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Rainbow Babies & Children's Resource Center Library, University Hospital, Department of Development, 11100 Euclid Ave., Cleveland 44106.
Cremation was handled by Blessing Cremation Center in Mentor.
Vesta Ginther
BRUNSWICK -- Vesta Ginther, 81, of Brunswick, died Tuesday, Feb., 25, 2003, at Evergreen Rehabilitation & Specialty Care Center in Medina.
Memorial services will be Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster.
She was born July 20, 1921, in Wayne County to Lloyd and Delphia Ellen (Grubb) Stoffer.
Surviving are sons, Clyde E. Ginther Jr., of Brunswick and Robert N. Ginther of Sumner, Wash.; six grandchildren, Brian, Scot, Tamara, Michael, Stephany and Amanda Ginther; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Nina Vincent of Holmesville and brothers, Guy Newkirk and Lyman Newkirk, both of Indianapolis, Ind.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Clyde E. Ginther Sr., on June 8, 1989, whom she married August 14, 1940.
Thomas Lea
MILLERSBURG -- Thomas "Tom" W. Lea, 89, of Millersburg, died Friday evening, March 21, 2003, at the Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 26 at 1 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic services beginning at 8:30 p.m.
Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Education Foundation, P.O. Box 226, Millersburg 44654.
He was born May 23, 1913, in Delaware County, Ashley and was the son of Walter and Ruth (Olds) Lea. On October 19, 1940, he married Alice Minard and she survives.
He was owner and operator of Tom Lea Tire in Shreve. He was also co-owner of the Blue Crystal Mines of Killbuck.
He was a member of the Millersburg Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masonic bodies, past patron of the Eastern Star. He served on the Millersburg School Board, Holmes County School Board and the Buckeye Joint Vocational School Board for a combined total of 34 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Alice, are three daughters and their spouses, Ruth Ann and Richard Weiner of Ithica, New York, Nancy and Lou Kaluza of San Antonio, Texas and Beth Lea of Wooster; special daughter-in-law, Joanne (Stan) Bassak of Uniontown; three grandsons; three granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Tom Lea Jr., a grandson, Josh Weiner, a brother, Phil Lea and two sisters, Jane Ludman and Joan Atha.
Wallace Markley
MILLERSBURG -- Wallace E. "Wally" Markley, 87, of Millersburg, died Friday evening, March 21, 2003, at the Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, following an extended illness.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at the Alexander Funeral Home in Millersburg with Pastor Wayne Giesler officiating.
Burial will be at the Prairie Township Cemetery in Holmesville with military rites being conducted by the Millersburg American Legion Post 192.
Friends may call Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1915, in Coshocton County and was the son of Frederick L. and Allie L. (Pixler) Markley. On August 27, 1967, he married Mary K. Michel and she survives.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He worked 32 years for the Oxford Oil Co. of Zanesville as a field superintendent, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Mount Hope. He was also a member of the Millersburg American Legion Post 192 and was an active member in the Holmes County Senior Center.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Betty Lou Masters of Killbuck; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Karen) McCluggage of Holmesville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Arvilda Ames of Coshocton and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie Cochran and Neola Williamson, a nephew, Thomas and a granddaughter, Tiffany.
William Waltz
DOYLESTOWN -- William L. Waltz, 70, died Friday, March 21, 2003.
Graveside service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Chestnut Hill Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Dusso officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown.

He was born May 8, 1932, in Ravenna to Byron C. and Sylvia (Schilling) Waltz and married Willodene Gillespie on Dec. 26, 1956. She died previously.
A 43-year resident of Doylestown, he was retired from Mosser Construction of Freemont as a carpenter.
He was a member of United Brotherhood of Carpenters & Joiners, Local 639, and Millwright & Pile Drivers, Local 1871. He was also a member of the National Rifle Association and Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are a stepdaughter, Judith Lash of Kent; stepson, Jack Waltz of Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, two brothers, Byron Waltz Jr. and Richard Waltz, died previously.
Norina Cruise
WOOSTER -- Norina A. Cruise, 72, of Wooster, died Saturday afternoon, March 22, 2003, at Akron City Hospital.
A Service of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster with the Rev. Patrick Henry officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1931, in Wooster to Angelo and Maddalena (Cicconetti) Santoro.
She had worked for more than 30 years for Frito-Lay.
She was a member of the Lamplighters Club.
Surviving are a son, Colin and his companion, Robbie Nussbaum of Wooster and sisters and brother-in-law, Jennie Rutt of Wooster and Philomena and Henry M. Carle of Overland Park, Kan.
Her husband, Floyd, died previously.
Gino DiBerardino
WOOSTER -- Gino R. DiBerardino, 77, of Carter Drive, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at West View Manor.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel with Pastor Nathan Ward officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
Friends may call Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Mingo Junction to Natale and Giavanna (Pancotti) DiBerardino and married Mary Pauline Morris. She died Nov. 30, 2001.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Naval Reserve for many years.
He was an employee of Weirton Steel for 33 years, retiring in 1978.
Surviving are three daughters, Gina (Andrew) Porter of Fostoria, Elizabeth Stine and Dolores (Keith) Briand, both of Wooster; three sons, Mark (Robin) DiBerardino of Mansfield, Michael (Judy) DiBerardino of Midland City, Ala., and Robert (Pam) DiBerardino of Charlotte, N.C.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Voitko of Mingo Junction.
In addition to his wife, three brothers, Jimmy, James and Joe and two sisters, Linda Maxwell and Emma Turturice, died previously.
Albert Neuenschwander
DALTON -- Albert A. Neuenschwander, 83, 13756 Nussbaum Road, died Saturday evening, March 22, 2003, at his home, following a period of declining health.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Sonlight Chapel, near Maysville, with Ray Shaum, Maynard Steiner and Harry Neuenschwander officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church.

He was born near Dalton on Aug. 31, 1919, to the late Sam and Lydia (Zimmerly) Neuenschwander and had lived all of his life in this area. He was a retired dairy farmer. On Nov. 27, 1956, he married Annie Steiner, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Glen Neuenschwander and Lorene Neuenschwander, both of the home and Miriam (James) Horst of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren, Mark, Marlin, Alvin, Keith, Conrad, Emily and Kevin Horst and a brother, Melvin Neuenschwander of New Waterford.
He was preceded in death by four sisters, Esther Neuenschwander, Mrs. Samuel (Orpha) Steiner, Mrs. Melvin (Sylvia) Steiner and Idell Neuenschwander who died as an infant and an infant brother, Elmer Neuenschwander.
Miriam Wion
LOUISVILLE -- Miriam E. Wion, 58, of Louisville, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Services will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Stoner Height Mennonite Church in Louisville with the Rev. Walter Morton officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-7:30 p.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Stoner Heights Mennonite Church in Louisville.

She was born July 1, 1944, in Canton to Willis and Alice (Miller) Sommers.
She was a graduate of Central Christian High School and was a member of the Stoner Heights Mennonite Church in Louisville.
Surviving are a daughter, Shannon Davis of Canton; a son, Brennan Wion of Harrisonburg, Va., her mother of Kidron; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Rex Wenger of Harrisonburg, Va., Rhoda and Ken Bowman of Nashville, Tenn., Mae and John Diller of Hartville and Joyce and Brent Nussbaum of Kidron; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Galen and Grace Sommers of Hartville and Paul and Sharon Sommers of Brewster.
Her father and two brothers died previously.
Margaret Amstutz
NORTH CANTON -- Margaret M. Amstutz, 91, of North Canton, died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at St. Luke Lutheran Home in North Canton.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church in North Canton, with the Rev. Douglas A. Patton officiating. Private burial will be at North Lawn Cemetery, Canton.

Leo Dwyer
ORRVILLE -- Leo F. "Lee" Dwyer, 83, 1490 Willard Drive, died Sunday morning, March 23, 2003, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville, after a long period of declining health.
Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville, with the Rev. Randall Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville, where military rites will be observed.

Lee was born July 12, 1919, in West Liberty, Iowa, to Thomas and Margaret (Fromer) Dwyer and married Mary Catherine Ott on Feb. 28, 1942, in Lebanon, Pa. She died Dec. 13, 1998.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a staff sergeant with Battery A 135th Field Artillery Battalion in the South Pacific Theater.
He was owner/operator of Lee's Tree Service for 29 years and then was a rural route mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Orrville, Orrville American Legion and was a member and past commander of Orrville Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the Riceland Golf League. He was a former Little League coach in Orrville and a Cub Scout den leader in Marshallville.
Surviving are children, Tom (Maureen) Dwyer of Medina, Terry Dwyer of Orrville and Maryjo (Patrick) Landers of Stow; grandchildren, Anne Marie Everett, Kelly Kathleen Dwyer, Catlin Mary Dwyer, Sara Elizabeth Dwyer, Nickolas Andrew Dwyer, Erin Francis Landers and Emilee Kathleen Landers; great-grandchildren, Cody Anthony Everett and Keith Joseph Everett; a brother, Lawrence (Mary) Dwyer of Muscataine, Iowa; and sisters, Josephine Pulver of Davenport, Iowa, Theresa (Howard) Bowers of Oak Ridge, Tenn., and Lucille (Frank) Albert of Bloomington, Ind.
In addition to his wife, brothers, William and George and an infant brother, David, and sisters, Lillian VanLuvender and Mary Woodworth, died previously.
