Wyman Raber
MILLERSBURG -- Wyman H. Raber, 94, 4383 State Route 39, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at his home after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. at the residence, with minister Ivan Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Raber Cemetery, Holmes County, Berlin Township.
Friends may call anytime today (Wednesday) after 1 and all day Thursday at the residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
He was born Sept. 23, 1908, in Holmes County to Henry and Lovina (Troyer) Raber and married Amanda Troyer. She died previously.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are children, Eli (Gladys) Raber of Sugarcreek, Daniel (Mary Alice) Raber of Topeka, Ind., Freeman (Melva) Raber of Wooster, Henry (Clara) Raber, Owen (Anna) Raber and Junior (Jennie) Raber, all of Dundee, Arie (Arleigh) Schlabach, Ida (Andy) Miller and Ada Raber, all of Millersburg and Lizzie (Robert) Wengerd of Fredericksburg; 36 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Daniel (Emma) Raber, a widowed sister, Sarah Troyer and a brother-in-law, Samuel Hershberger, all of Millersburg.
In addition to his wife, a daughter, Esta Raber, his parents and sisters, Emma, Ida and Elva, died previously.

Katie Swartzentruber
FREDERICKSBURG -- Katie (Troyer) Swartzentruber, 96, 9234 County Road 245, died Tuesday morning, March 25, 2003, at Pomerene Hospital in Millersburg, after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Bethany Conservative Church, 8580 County Road 245, Holmesville, with Eli Hilty officiating. Burial will be at Yoder Cemetery, Prairie Township.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the Simon Wengerd Jr. residence, 9219 County Road 245, Fredericksburg, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
She was born June 11, 1906, in Holmes County to David M. and Dena (Miller) Troyer and married Daniel S. Swartzentruber on Dec. 29, 1928. He died Aug. 15, 1975.
She was a member of the Amish Church.
Surviving are children, Vernon (Sarah) Swartzentruber of Dover, George (JoAnn) Swartzentruber of Apple Creek, Levi (Minerva) Swartzentruber of Berlin, Dena Miller of Fredericksburg, Clara (Allen) Yoder of Jacksonville, Fla., and David (Ada) Swartzentruber of Millersburg; 33 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and a sister, Mary Weaver of Benton.
In addition to her husband, a stillborn son, a son-in-law, six brothers, two sisters and four step-brothers and sisters died previously.

Katherine Werner
MARSHALLVILLE -- Katherine Hiteshew Werner of Marshallville, 90, died Monday, March 24, 2003.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, where a rosary service will be held at 5 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 161 W. Clinton St., Doylestown 44230.
Arrangements are being handled by Busch Family Funeral Chapels in Parma.
She was born Oct. 6, 1912, in Sterling to William and Anne Marshall and married Carlyle Davis in 1934. He died in 1937. She then married Paul Hiteshew on May 4, 1942 and he died April 23, 1977. On Dec. 1, 1984, she married Howard Werner. He died in 1991.
She was a 1930 graduate of Sterling High School and St. Thomas Hospital School of Nursing, Akron in 1933. She worked for a short time in a hospital setting, but spent more than 50 years in private duty nursing.
She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Doylestown, Ladies Altar Society, Wayne County Farm Bureau and was a Red Cross volunteer.
Surviving are children, John M. (Joyce) Davis and Robert (Annabelle) Davis, both of Wadsworth, Roberta A. Ringler of Taylors, S.C., Nora A. (Kent) Valin of Canton and Edward (Patsy) Hiteshew of Lynnhaven, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Marcene W. (John) Busch of Parma; 29 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Dorothy Troje of Louisville, Ky.
In addition to her husbands, a stepson, Robert J. Werner, brothers, Robert, Dan, Paul and Joseph Marshall and sisters, Mary Bishop and Margaret Casenhiser, died previously.

Nellie Woods
WOOSTER -- Nellie M. Woods, lovingly known to many as "Nana", was born Feb. 27, 1906, in Circleville. She died Sunday, March 16, 2003.
Committal services will be Saturday, March 29, at 1:30 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Rufus Thompson officiating. Burial of the cremains will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
She was the first born from the union of James and Mabel Dade and was a devoted member of Second Baptist Church in Wooster, where she was in the Senior Choir, Mariss Trio and Women's Fellowship. Nana was also a member of Friendly Den and Wooster Community Hospital Auxiliary.
In 1994, Nana moved to California and settled in Los Angeles.
In 1927, she married Carl Woods. Together they raised her only daughter, Thelma, affectionately known as "Moe."
Nana worked at Rubbermaid Inc. in Wooster, retiring after 23 years of service and was later employed at Freedlander's, as a seamstress, at The College of Wooster and Wooster Community Hospital.
Nana leaves to cherish her memory, brothers, Emmet (Naomi) Dade of Circleville and James (Andrea) Dade Jr. of Chandler, Ariz.; sisters, Eleanor Lewis of Circleville, Margaret Bryant of Wooster and Beth Stockard of Denver, Colo.; a son-in-law, Eugene Tarpley, grandchildren, Carla Richard and Carlyn Charles, great-grandchildren, DE'Yon Williams, Tanecia Childs and Branden Charles, great-great-grandchildren, La'Nae Williams, Eric Somerville II, Whitney and Britney Williams and Jaelen Charles, all of Los Angeles. Nana also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, honorary grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends.

James Bradley
HOMERVILLE -- James J. Bradley, 43, of Homerville, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 23, 2003.
Services will be Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Ferfolia Funeral Home, 356 W. Aurora Road (Route 82), Sagamore Hills and at 10 a.m. at Saint Barnabas Church in Northfield Center. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg.
Friends may call today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 6-9 at the funeral home.
James was the beloved father of Candice and James T. Bradley; stepfather of Matthew; dearest son of Lucille (Joseph) Strauss of Wooster and James R. (Kathleen) Bradley of Sagamore Hills; dear brother of Diane Bradley-Cox and Jerry Bradley; stepbrother of Laurie Trumbo and Billy Cessna; and a loving uncle.

Robert Aller
MINERVA -- Robert G. Aller, 64, of Minerva, died Thursday morning, March 27, 2003, at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Care Center, after an extended illness.
He was the father of Gary N. Aller of Canal Fulton.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Minerva First Christian Church, with Ralph Norman officiating. Burial will be at Liberty Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home, 206 E. Lincolnway, Minerva, where a Grange service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Friendly Hills Grange Camp or Little Sandy Creek Ruritan Club Scholarship Fund, in care of P.O. Box 125, Robertsville 44670.
He was born June 24, 1938, in Louisville to Donald and Mabel (Snyder) Aller and married Margery Crowl on March 22, 1958. She survives.
He was a 1958 graduate of East Canton High School and retired from Sugardale Foods after 30 years of service, where he was a cattle buyer. He had worked for Pagewood Packing of Erie, Pa., and R.C. Miller Refuse of Canton.
He was a member of Minerva First Christian Church, Four Square Sunday School class, Robertsville Grange 1784, State and National Grange and was a charter member of Little Sandy Creek Ruritan Club. He was a former member of the Meat Processing Advisory Board for R.G. Drage Career Center and Stark County Fair Board.
Other survivors include children, Kristine B. (William) Bennett, Roland L. and Brian G. Aller, all of North Canton and John R. (Loretta) Aller of Green; five granddaughters; two grandsons; a sister, Betty (Paul) Fox of Louisville; and brothers, Jim (Debby) Aller of Canton, Richard (Pat) Aller of North Canton and Ken (Liz) Aller of Louisville.

Donald Chanay
MASSILLON -- Donald F. Chanay, 73, of Massillon, died Wednesday afternoon, March 26, 2003, at Akron General Hospital, after an extended illness.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Jay Dolvin officiating. Burial will be at Wolfcreek Baptist Church Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
The family suggests contributions be made to American Lung Association.
He was born June 14, 1929, in Seville to Charles Boyd and Bessie (Hawkins) Chanay and married Beverly J. Phillips on Jan. 1, 1950. She survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and also served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for 38 years at Fleming Foods in Navarre, retiring in 1990.
He was a member of Massillon Baptist Temple and Massillon American Legion.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Kathie (William) Buerger of Canton and Patricia (Dave) Cheslock of Massillon; four grandchildren; sisters, Marie Roberts of Navarre, Jean Shinabarker and Anita Carol Dial, both of Glenmont and Doris Eltringham of Killbuck; and brothers, Earl and Dean Chanay, both of Millersburg.
A son, Keith Eric Chanay and a brother, Logan Chanay, died previously.

Dolores Hayden
WOOSTER -- Dolores K. Hayden, 87, of Wooster, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Regency Park Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in Orrville.
Family memorial services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to Hospice of Wayne County, 2525-A Back Orrville Road, Wooster; or to Alzheimer's Association, 345 N. Market St., Wooster 44691.
She was born July 10, 1915, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Zory and Mabel (Sale) King and married Willard Hayden. He died in 1998.
She was a homemaker and moved to Wooster in 1998, from Conroe, Texas. She was an avid reader and enjoyed flowers.
Surviving are a daughter, Barbara (William) Pearce of Wooster; stepdaughters, Patricia Leeth and Deborah Gillespie, both of Florida; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and brothers, Clyde King of Oneonta, N.Y., and Ivan King of Sacramento, Calif.

Anne McDonald
LIVONIA, Mich. -- Anne M. McDonald, 66, formerly of Rittman, died Wednesday, March 26, 2003, in Livonia, Mich., after a short battle with cancer.
Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Milton Presbyterian Church in Rittman, with the Rev. James E. Watt officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman.

She was born April 17, 1936, in Barberton to John and Margaret (Cunningham) Benek and married Kenneth McDonald. He died in 1993.
She lived all of her life in Rittman, moving to Michigan in 1999, and was a member of Milton Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer at Head Start and the Apostolic Christian Home. She enjoyed traveling and music.
Surviving are a son, Michael of Las Vegas; a brother, John (Nina) Benek of Wooster; and friends, Robert Allen and Alex Curtin, with whom she had made her home in Detroit, Mich.

Sylvia Miller
DUNDEE -- Sylvia E. Miller, 91, 8110 Township Road 669, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home in Walnut Creek, after an extended illness.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Light in the Valley Chapel, with Pastor Robert Schrock and assistant Pastor John Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Smith-Geib Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
Memorial contributions may be made to Day Spring Mennonite church.
She was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Holmes County to Emanuel and Amanda (Schlabach) Mullet and married John H.N. Miller in April 1931. He died in November 1992.
She was a homemaker and a member of Day Spring Mennonite Church.
Surviving are children, Floyd (Edna) Miller of Goshen, Ind., Willard Miller of Stonecreek, Earl "Jim" Miller of Millersburg, Melva (Vernon) Wengerd of Dundee and Elsie (Roy) Beachy of Nappanee, Ind.; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother Roy E. (Viola) Mullet of Baltic; sisters, Amanda McCochran of Dover and Susanna Haines of South Bend, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, an infant daughter, Orpha, a grandson, Tulsa, five sisters and three brothers died previously.

Franklin Rinehart
BLISSFIELD -- Franklin Edward Rinehart, 61, 42189 County Road 318, died Thursday, March 27, 2003, at his home.
Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastors David Dodridge and John Selders officiating. Burial will be at Blissfield Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted by Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council.
Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m., or until time of services Sunday.
He was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Millersburg to Ormond and Eva (Selders) Rinehart and married Ruth "Maggie" Newton on March 12, 1977. She survives.
He was a former supervisor at Crown Fiberglass and a member of Clark Township Baptist Church and Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Shannon (Troy) Pasco of Ashland, Tammy Watson, Scott and Jeff Rinehart, all of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren, Tabitha and Tristan Pasco; his parents of Blissfield; and a brother, Paul Rinehart of Tulsa, Okla.

Harland Webster Jr.
ORRVILLE -- Harland D. "Dan" Webster Jr., 77, 750 Apple Blossom Lane, died Wednesday evening, March 26, 2003, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Smithville, with the Rev. Steve Olsen officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery were military rites will be conducted.
Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the services. Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7605 Pleasant Home Road, P.O. Box 426, Smithville 44677.
He was born March 9, 1926, in Painesville to Harland D. and Mildred L. (Ferguson) Webster Sr. and married Marion E. Popp on Sept. 28, 1947 in Painesville. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a Gunners Mate Third Class Armed Guard and worked as an operating engineer for Murphy Excavating for more than 20 years. He was owner/operator of Websters 76 Station in Mentor for five years and owner/operator of the former Ridge Motel (Orrville Inn) and Glen Ridge Mobile Home Park for 13 years.
He had attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and was a member of American Legion Post 609 in Kirtland, served on the Ohio State Highway Patrol Auxiliary for 20 years, was an avid bowler and enjoyed woodworking.
Surviving are children, Darlene (Michael) Wagoner of Arden, N.C., Jill (Bruce) Knight of Apple Creek and Mark Webster of Orrville; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, twin, June Santos of San Bernadino, Calif., and Betty (Edward) Angelotti of Wooster; his stepmother, Edna Webster of Glowster; a half-brother, Larry Yokee of Gig Harbor, Wash.; numerous other half-brothers and sisters; and nieces and nephews.
Brothers, Frederick and Charles Webster, and a sister, Helen Johnson, died previously.
