BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. -- Dorothy (Castle) Krauser, 69, 1310 S.W. 27th Place, formerly of Wooster, died Monday, Sept. 27, 1999, at Bethesda Memorial Hospital, Boynton Beach, Fla.
Memorial services were held this morning (Wednesday) at 10 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, Fla.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society,
She was born July 18, 1930 in Lockport, N.Y., and married Richard Krauser on April 18, 1956. He died in 1993.
Surviving are children, Peter Krauser of Clearwater, Fla., Richard and Christopher Krauser, both of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Katie Marco of Lake Worth, Fla; and six grandchildren.

Hubert Bair
WILMOT -- Hubert E. Bair, 85, of Wilmot, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at Altercare of Navarre, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster, with the Rev. Ray Peters officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Wilmot.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, where Masonic services will be held at 5:45 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wilmot United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 98, Wilmot, OH 44689.
He was born Nov. 23, 1913 in Hanford, Wash., to Hubert J. and Elizabeth (Kaufman) Bair and married Vera R. Schwartz on July 2, 1940. She died June 13, 1999.
Surviving are children, Mrs. Thomas (Judith) Bank of Mechanicsburg, Pa., Mrs. John (Virginia) Spidle of Wilmot and H. Gary Bair of Alliance; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carl Bair of Hartville.

Roy Perry
STERLING -- Roy F. Perry, 76, 14220 Shorle Road, died Sunday evening, Sept. 26, 1999, at his home.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Ambassador Baptist Church, with Jerry Hackworth officiating. Burial will be at Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, or one hour prior to the services at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ambassador Baptist Church, P.O. Box 416, Wadsworth 44282; or to the Boy Scouts of America, Great Trail Council, 1601 S. Main St., Akron 44301.
He was born Aug. 4, 1923 in Hatfield, W.Va., to Fred C. and Violet (Branham) Perry and married Edith DeBoard. She survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Richard and Wanda Perry of Wooster, William Perry of Lexington Park, Md., Lois and James Mullins and Sandra and James Keck, all of Rittman, and Pattricia Trocceli of Columbus; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray and Joseph Perry, both of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Phillip Perry of Charlotte, N.C.; and sisters, Helen Jameson of Doylestown, Rhozella Arnold of Kooskia, Idaho, Kathryn McCloud of Fort Gay, W.Va., and Mary Madsen of Huntington, W.Va.

'Ed' Boswell
LIVINGSTON, Texas -- John Edward "Ed" Boswell, 86, of Livingston, Texas, died Friday afternoon, Sept. 24, 1999, at Lufkin Memorial Hospital, Lufkin, Texas.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, with the Rev. Kathie Kuhn officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 7, 1913 in Flora, Ill., to James and Velma (Reid) Boswell and married Grace L. Ryneer on March 15, 1963. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Edgar Lee Adamson of Paris, Tenn., Carla McDowell of Millersburg and Kathie Kuhn of Macedonia; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Melvin Boswell of Livingston, Texas; a sister, Janelle Timmons of Edmund, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marjorie Gaubatz
MILLERSBURG -- Marjorie Fisher Gaubatz, 74, 193 N. School Street, died Sunday morning, Sept. 26, 1999, at Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg, after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Millersburg, with the Rev. John R. Long officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.
The family suggests contributions be made to Hospice of Holmes County, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg 44654.
She was born June 23, 1925 in Baltic to Lister C. and Zella (Schaffer) Fisher and married Nick Gaubatz on Oct. 19, 1943. He survives.
Other survivors include a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Fred and Carlene Gaubatz of Mansfield; and nieces and nephews, Bob, Ann and Stacey Gaubatz of Wooster, and Gar, Beth, Stephanie and Seth Marchant of Mansfield.

Myron Wood
BIG PRAIRIE -- Myron Lee Wood, 74, 7005 County Road 51, formerly of Shreve, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at the home of his sister in Big Prairie.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve, with Pastor Randy Weaver officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Surviving are a sister, Donna Jean (Wood) Spade of Big Prairie; nieces and their husbands, Gwynn and Albert Weber of Margate, Fla., and Kathy and Mike Shedron of Millersburg; a nephew and his wife, Ron and Diane Spade of New Philadelphia; two great-nieces and five great-nephews.

Carl Ruprecht
AKRON -- Carl D. Ruprecht, 39, of Akron, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, in Akron.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Road, Seville, with Pastors, Gerald Keller and Duane Culler officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 6-9 at the church. Armstrong Funeral Home in Seville, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Seville; or to the Carl Ruprecht Memorial of Stan Hywet, Akron.
Surviving are his parents of Seville; brothers and their wives, Kenneth and Marilyn Ruprecht of Knox County and Raymond and Debbie Ruprecht of Seville; a sister, Carol Rumburg and her husband, Calvin, of Seville; and nieces and nephews, Gwen and Gregg Short of Burbank, Lyle and Sarah Ruprecht of Wooster, Jenny Rumburg of California, Amy Rumburg, Janeen, Faith and Ben Ruprecht, all of Seville.

Lois Ferdinand
CANAL FULTON -- Lois E. Ferdinand, 61, of Canal Fulton, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 1999, at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Ss. Philip & James Catholic Church in Canal Fulton. Burial will be at Union Cemetery, Canal Fulton.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home in Canal Fulton.
She was born Sept. 6, 1938 in Wilmington, Del., to Harry and Madeline McAnaney and married David W. Ferdinand. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Victor and Lori Ferdinand of Hilliard and Sandy and Eric Varndell of Medina; six grandchildren; her mother, Madeline McAnaney Gallagher of Nashville, Tenn.; brothers and their wives, David and Diane McAnaney of Eden Prairie, Minn., and Michael and Karla McAnaney of Brentwood, Tenn.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joseph Jevnikar
MILLERSBURG -- Joseph J. Jevnikar, 94, of Millersburg, formerly of Cleveland, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Majora Lane Nursing Home in Millersburg, where he had resided for one year.
He was the father of Gregory Jevnikar of Killbuck.
Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
Friends may call today (Monday) from 2-4 and 6-8 at Brickman & Sons Funeral Home, 21900 Euclid Ave., Euclid.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Leukemia Society, 20525 Center Ridge Road, Suite 630, Cleveland 44116; St. Mary Church, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland 44110; or to Hospice of Holmes County, 931 Wooster Road, Millersburg 44654.
Other survivors include his wife, Mary Jevnikar; a daughter, Margaret Farris; and a granddaughter.

Edna Houchin
RITTMAN -- Edna M. Houchin, 55, 79 West Hill, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at the home of her daughter in Wadsworth.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Rittman Cemetery, with the Rev. Stanley A. Ward officiating.
There will be no calling hours. Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Wayne County Branch, in care of Wooster Clinic, 1740 Cleveland Road, Wooster 44691.
Surviving are daughters and their husbands, Penny and Gary Snyder of Wadsworth and Robin and Daniel Kitzmiller of Norton; and three grandchildren.

'Jake' Hershberger Jr.
HARTVILLE -- Jacob "Jake" Hershberger Jr., 82, of Hartville, went to be with the Lord, Friday evening, Sept. 24, 1999, in the comfort of his home.
Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Hartville Mennonite Church, with Pastors Dave Hall and Henry Shrock officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church, or one hour prior to the services.
Arnold Funeral Home, 504 W. Maple St., Hartville, is handling arrangements.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Delilah Hershberger; children and their spouses, Donna and Floyd Fouts of Barberton, Linda and Eugene Turner of West Virginia, Louise and Bill Moser and Darrell and Marie Hershberger, all of Canton and Ron and Debbie Hershberger of Hartville; grandchildren, Brian Caldwell, Kelly and Frank Fouts, Gene Turner, Angela, Mark, Drew and Daniel Hershberger; great-grandchildren, Brian Caldwell Jr. and Shane Fouts; and sisters, Clara, Ada and Lydia Hershberger, all of Holmes County.

Karl Switzer
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Karl L. Switzer, 68, of Orlando, Fla., died Saturday, June 19, 1999, from cancer.
Memorial and Masonic services were held in Orlando, Fla.
Burial will be Saturday, Oct. 2, at noon at Wooster Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Kathleen (Parcell) Switzer; daughters, Kim Bach, and her husband, Ron, of West Covina, Calif., and Dr. Kelly Timmons and her husband, Dave of Albany, Ga.; four grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Iris Saunders
WOOSTER -- Iris F. "PaPa" Saunders, 76, 715 Washington St., died Friday, Sept. 24, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Wooster, with the Rev. Arthur A. Ruffin Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.
Those who wish may make contributions to Second Baptist Church, 245 S. Grant St., Wooster; or to Afro-American Women Together, in care of Lydia Thompson, 1573 Lemar Drive, Wooster 44691.
She was born July 23, 1923 in Middletown to William Butler and Kathleen (Robinson) Ferguson and married Darwin Robert Saunders on June 14, 1942. He died Aug. 20, 1990.
Surviving are daughters, Sylvia K. Lockett and her husband, Roy P., and Jennifer Stoudmire, all of Wooster; grandchildren and their spouses, Simone Y. Miller, Melani K.L. and Steven Ross, Nicole Y. Norman, Suzette and Juan Williams, Robyn D. Lockett, Tiffany N. Lockett, Dion and Stacie Norman and Brooke R. Mc. Lockett; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, a brother, William Butler Ferguson Jr., died previously.

Allen Blough
ORRVILLE -- Allen J. Blough, 86, formerly of Chippewa Road, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Services will be Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Ted Rust officiating. Burial will be at East Chippewa Cemetery, Orrville.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Surviving are nephews, Clarence and Harley Blough, both of Orrville; and a niece, Lucille Immell of Burbank.

Paul Kandel
DALTON -- Paul W. Kandel, 78, of Dalton, died Monday evening, Sept. 20, 1999, in the emergency room at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville, after an apparent heart attack at his home.
Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at East Union Mennonite Church near Orrville, with Delmar Falb and Leonard Wenger officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call today (Wednesday) from 2-4 and 6-9 at the church, or one hour prior to the services.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Youth Mission Fund, in care of East Union Mennonite Church.
He was born Aug. 25, 1921, near Trail to William and Lucinda (Hostetler) Kandel and married Mary E. Mast on Feb. 1, 1942. She survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Ruby and Merv Nolt, Mary Ann and Myron Miller and Esther and Sam Miller, all of Apple Creek and Paul and Carol Kandel Jr. of Dalton; 10 grandchildren; a foster granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Alta Kandel of Berlin and Mrs. David (Sue) Speelman of Wooster; and a brother, Vernon Kandel of Fredericktown.

Margaret Schick
SMITHVILLE -- Margaret J. Schick, 78, formerly of Eby Road, died Monday, Sept. 20, 1999, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
There will be no services or calling hours. Burial of the cremains will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, is handling arrangements.
She was born Jan. 18, 1921 in Orrville to Ray and Winona (Farquhar) Pratt and married Herben C. Schick. He died Jan. 11, 1981.
Surviving are children, Tom H. Schick of Santa Rosa, Calif., and Amy Schwartz of Cleveland; and one grandchild.
