MOUNT EATON -- Lina A. Constable, 64, of Mount Eaton, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital, Harrisonburg, Va., after a brief illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, with the Rev. Merlin L. Kerstetter officiating.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, or one hour prior to the services.

She was born Aug. 1, 1935 in Antioch, W.Va., to Alfred and Margaret (Henderson) Howard and married Walter Howard Constable on Aug. 4, 1953. He survives.
Other survivors include sons, Harry Constable of West Lebanon and Rod Constable and his wife, Janice, of Mount Eaton; four grandchildren; sisters, Polly McFarland of Monroe and Cathy Hamm of Atlanta; and brothers, Dewey and Millard Howard, both of Keyser, W.Va., and Jerry Howard of Deltona, Fla.
Myrtle Robinson
SMITHVILLE -- Myrtle M. Robinson, 78, 142 Charles Ave., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, Sept. 18, 1999, at her residence after a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Wooster Apostolic Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Gerald Compton officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Custer Funeral Home, Wooster.

She was born Dec. 19, 1920 in Pike County, Ky., to Isaac Riggs and Minerva (Hall) Watkins and married Alvie Robinson on Sept. 16, 1944 in Greenup, Ky. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Aloma and James T. Blake Sr., and Jackie B. and Cathy M. Robinson, all of Wooster; grandchildren, James T. Blake Jr., Stephanie M. Milton and her husband, Kevin, Charity C. and Rachel M. Robinson and Benjamin J.I. Robinson; great-grandchildren, Taylr O. Milton and Mackenzie A. Robinson; a brother, James H. Watkins and his wife, Virgie, of Huntington, W.Va.; and a sister, Dorothy Pauley and her husband, Brady F., of Wayne, W.Va.
Carolyn Remington
WOOSTER -- Carolyn S. Remington, 91, formerly of 905 Portage Road, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Smithville-Western Care Center.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Wooster, with David A. Hill Jr., officiating. The body has been cremated. Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements.
There are no immediate survivors.
Robert Murray
PUNTA GORDA, Fla -- Robert Joseph Murray, 81, of Punta Gorda, Fla., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Life Care Center in Punta Gorda.
He was the father and father-in-law of Robert and Kathryn Murray of Doylestown.
A Memorial Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Punta Gorda, Fla.
The family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Charlotte and De Soto Counties, P.O. Box 42, Punta Gorda, Fla. 33951-0042.
Arrangements were handled by Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home, 5200 Indian Springs Road, Punta Gorda, Fla.

Sue Simmons
HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. -- Sue Ann (Richey) Simmons, 55, of Hendersonville, N.C., formerly of Wooster and Lakeville, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, at her home.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Simmons Jr.; a son, John Richey Cagle of Galena; two daughters, Wendy Ann Stanley of Orrville and Amy Marie Church of Zanesville; a brother, Robert M. Richey of Wooster; and a sister, Patty Jo Hudson of Shreve, Ohio. Three stepsons, John Simmons III, Mark Simmons and Terry Simmons of Lumberton, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Anita Grantham of Hendersonville, N.C., and Lisa Carol Fields of Dana, N.C.; and 16 grandchildren.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Johnston-Schlabach Funeral Home in Shreve. Burial will be at Newkirk Cemetery.

Michael W. Griffin
APPLE CREEK -- Michael W. Griffin, 37, of 217 Partridge St., died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, 360 W. Sunset Drive, Rittman, with James A. Foster officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

He was born on Jan. 31, 1962 in Orrville to William T. and Lois A. (Dague) Griffin and married Mary Watkins, on April 2, 1982. She survives.

Anna Swartzentruber
WOOSTER -- Anna (Miller) Swartzentruber, 88, of 731 E. Moreland Road, died Friday evening, Sept. 17, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Wayne Troyer residence, 10744 Fryberg Road, Fredericksburg, with the Bishop Raymond M. Yoder officiating. Burial will be at Weaver Cemetery, Salt Creek Township.
Friends may call any time at the Troyer residence.
Arrangements are being handled by Murray Funeral Home in Fredericksburg.
She was born July 21, 1911 in Holmes County to Menno C. and Dora (Petersheim) Miller and married Eli E. Swartzentruber on Feb. 16, 1933. He died on Feb. 2, 1989.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Roy and Joyce Swartzentruber of Sugarcreek and a foster daughter and her husband, Ada and Andy J. Troyer with whom she made her home; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Wyman Miller
STRASBURG -- Wyman S. Miller, 50, of Strasburg, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Aultman Hospital, following a long illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Dover Bible Church, with the Rev. Ed Scaglione officiating. Burial will be at Ridgecrest Memory Garden.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at Dover Bible Church.

He was born April 28, 1949 in Wooster to Solomon and Malinda Miller and married Carol W. Burkholder. They were married 26 years on June 16, 1999. She survives.

Sophia Tustin
ORRVILLE -- Sophia A. Tustin, 89, of 1870 W. High St., died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center, Orrville.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Gresser Funeral Home, Orrville, with the Rev. Randy Gehres officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.

She was born on May 19, 1910 in Orrville to Benjamin and Emma (Herman) Studer and married V. Paul Tustin on June 30, 1934. He died on Oct. 16, 1974.

Freida Thomas
ORANGE CITY, Fla. -- Freida (Heffelfinger) Thomas, 86, of Orange City, Fla. and formerly of Big Prairie, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 1999, from a stroke.
Memorial services will be Thursday, Sept. 23 in Florida. She will be cremated and burial of the ashes will take place later at Oak Grove Cemetery in Shreve.
Surviving are her husband, Paul Thomas of Orange City, Fla.; a son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Elizabeth Thomas of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters; two brothers, Robert Heffelfinger of Florida and Richard Heffelfinger of Columbus and a sister, Eula, of Georgia.
Evalyn Murphy
WOOSTER -- Evalyn Imogene Murphy, 72, 2601 Graceland Way, Wooster, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, at her residence, following a long illness.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church in Wooster with the Revs. Gene Hill and Guy Morton officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.

Mrs. Murphy was born March 31, 1927 in Clay County, W.Va. to Clarence and Mary (Fitzwater) Friend and has lived in the Wayne County area for the last 40 years.
She married Bonny B. Murphy on May 24, 1947 in Valley Fork, W.Va. He survives.
She is survived by her husband of Wooster; son, Danny C. Murphy of Wooster; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Peggy) Green of Wooster and Mrs. Tab (Rosemary) Tettleton of Houston, Texas; six grandchildren, Tim and his wife, Lori Arnholt and David Arnholt and fiance Rita Dratleff, all of Wooster, Riley and Sawyer Tettleton of Houston, Texas and Cory and Tasha Murphy of Wooster; two great-grandchildren, Brenton and Austin Arnholt; three step-grandchildren, Eric Yoder and Eric and Robert Green; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Friend of Akron, Marshall and Roanne Friend of Wadsworth, Leo and Jackie Friend of Louisiana; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Hazel and Clarence Nicholson of Orrville, Faye and Donald Baker of Shreve and Opal and Harold Weiler of Dover and a brother-in-law, Bryan Griffith of Richwood, W.Va.
Alberta Lash
NAVARRE -- Alberta M. Lash, 80, of Navarre, died Thursday, Sept. 16, 1999, at Massillon Community Hospital, following a short illness.
Graveside services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Rose Hill Memorial Park in Massillon, with the Rev. Ray Peters officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster.

She was born in Massillon on Oct. 23, 1918 to Clifford and Delpha (Goudy) Shilling and she married Russell D. Lash on March 19, 1938. He died July 19, 1994.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ron (Vicki) Hambuechen of Navarre.
Helen Spigelmire
WOOSTER -- Helen M. Spigelmire, 90, of Wooster, died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at the Wayne County Care Center in Wooster.
Private services were Friday at Roberts Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Fink officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
She was born May 9, 1909 in Pennsylvania to Ernest Samuel and Mary (Thompson) Gould and married Ernest Spigelmire. He died in 1998.
Surviving are four grandchildren, Vickie Frazier of Northfield, Rick and Stephen Spigelmire of Wooster, and Cheryl Underwood of Homerville and four sisters.
Loretta Lazo
LOUDONVILLE -- Loretta G. Lazo, 72, of 2447 State Route 60, died Thursday evening, Sept. 16, 1999, in Samaritan Hospital after an long illness.
Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Byerly-Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville, with the Rev. Kevin Conroy officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Loudonville.
Friends may call Monday from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born May 11, 1927 in Perrysville to Thomas and Edith (Leddy) Bowman and married James Lazo on April 23, 1963. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her husband are stepsons, Jimmy Lazo of Illinois and Jeff Lazo of Cicero, Indiana, and stepdaughters, Denise O'Brien of Indianapolis and Gloria Lazo of Alabama; three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, five brothers, Robert, William and Curtis Bowman, all of Loudonville, Rexford Bowman of Glasgow, Ky., and Max Bowman of Mount Gilead, and three sisters, Helen Marshall and Mildred Miller, both of Loudonville and Norma Jean Lemaitre of Ashland.
