KILLBUCK -- Larry "Butch" Carpenter, 53, of Killbuck, died Friday morning, July 9, 1999 at Sunset Skilled Nursing Home in Millersburg, following a short illness.
Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Killbuck Cemetery, with the Rev. Jake Rupple officiating.
There will be no calling hours.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Wayne County Hospice or the Larry "Butch" Carpenter Memorial Fund, care of Killbuck Savings Bank, P.O. Box 407, Killbuck 44637.

He was born July 18, 1945 in Holmes County to Lee and Lillian (Hoxworth) Carpenter.
He worked for the Killbuck Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Killbuck are his two children, Diana Morrison of Millersburg and Brad Carpenter of Killbuck; four grandchildren, and a sister, Loretta Kamer of Millersburg.

ORRVILLE -- Alice W. Phillips, 82, formerly of W. Oak St., died Friday, July 9, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Gresser Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Scott Brown officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.

She was born Oct. 10, 1916 in Washington Court House to John B. and Clarissa Jane (Conner) Tener.

RITTMAN -- Hughie Ridgway, 87, of 112 S. Hickin Ave., died Friday, July 9, 1999, at his home.

He was born on Aug. 1, 1911 in New Matamoras to Forest and Eva (Heddleston) Ridgway and lived in New Philadelphia before moving to Rittman in 1954.
Surviving are his wife, Wilma (Rinard) Ridgway; a son, Ron (Doris) Ridgway of Chesterfield, Mo. and daughters, Carol Buckingham of Mahwah, N.J,, and Phyllis (Tom) Stromack of Rittman; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three stepgreat-grandchildren; a brother, Rodney Ridgway of Danville; and sisters, Faye Cisler and Beryl Cisler, both of New Matamoras.

She then married Jacob Coblentz. He died in 1940 and then married John E. Miller. He died in 1976. Surviving are children and their spouses, Dan B. and Anna Mae Miller of Walnut Creek, William B. Miller of Sarasota, Fla., Enos and Mary Stutzman and Raymond and Bertie Stutzman, all of Plain City and Ada and Albert Coblentz of Brazil; a son-in-law, Atlee J. Coblentz of New York; 31 grandchildren; 78 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ada Wengerd of Dundee.
