WOOSTER -- Marjorie G. Cloyes, 76, of Wooster, died Tuesday, May 18, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital. Memorial services will be Friday at 5 p.m. at St. James Episcopal Church in Wooster. She was born Oct. 14, 1922 in Baldwinsville, N.Y., to James Edward and Frances Lucille (Connell) Gere. Surviving are children, Barbara Goff of Pittsburgh, Will and Jim Cloyes, both of Columbus, Tom Cloyes of Wooster and Pete Cloyes of Newark; grandchildren, Brian and Kevin Goff, Bill, Andrew, Lauren, Lindsay, Katelyn and Kyle Cloyes; and a sister, Elizabeth Russell of Baldwinsville, N.Y. Sisters, Jeanne Meacham and Barbara Brown, died previously.

APPLE CREEK -- Dortha M. Glasgow, 81, 215 1/2 Clay St., died Monday, May 17, 1999, at Wooster Community Hospital. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Gay and Harry Griffin of Sanford, N.C., and Marcy and Terry ÒButchÓ Speelman of Fredericksburg, a son, Errol ÒPeteÓ Glasgow and Gayle Denison of Wooster and a daughter, Kathleen Horst of Apple Creek; grandchildren, Greg, Michael and Brad Griffin, Scott Glasgow, Jennifer Siegel, Susan Moreno, Nate, Gabe and Dan Speelman; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. William (Alberta) Faught of Mentor.

WEST SALEM -- Ada M. Carmichael, 80, of West Salem, died Sunday morning, May 16, 1999, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland. Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem with the Rev. Michael Hastings officiating. Burial will be at West Salem Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. She married Orville Carmichael. He died May 23, 1991. Surviving are a son, Stephen Carmichael of the home; two sisters, Alfreda Slonaker of Wheeling, W.Va. and Geraldine James of Ravenna and two brothers, Bernard Mason of Cameron, W.Va. and Covert Mason of Ravenna.

BALTIC -- Mattie Miller, 72, 2248 State Route 643, died this morning (Monday), May 17, 1999, at her residence after a two-month illness. Services will be Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Miller residence with Bishop Syl Beachy officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery in Clark Township, Holmes County. Friends may call anytime at the residence. Arrangements are being handled by the Smith Funeral Home in Sugarcreek. She married Melvin J. Miller on Nov. 6, 1951. He survives. Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Mrs. Junior (Katie) Schlabach of Fresno; six sons, Paul (Effie) Miller of the home, Jacob (Anna) Miller, Leroy (Fannie) Miller, Owen (Martha) Miller, Junior (Emma) Miller, all of Baltic, Ivan (Miriam) Miller of Sugarcreek; 46 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Eli J. (Lydian) Kline and Mrs. Raymond (Lizziann) Weaver, both of Millersburg; two brothers, Jake Mast Jr. of Berlin and Dan Mast of Florida; five half-brothers, Mose R. Miller of Millersburg, Bert R. Miller of Winesburg, Reuben R. Miller and Andy J. Mast, both of Holmesville and Eli J. Mast of Florida and three half-sisters, Mrs. Dan P. (Elizabeth) Schrock and Mrs. William (Sarah) Yoder, both of Millersburg and Mrs. Alvin (Susie) Yoder of Sugarcreek. An infant sister; two grandchildren and four half-brothers, died previously.

NAVARRE -- Raymond M. Jones, 83, of Navarre, died Saturday evening, May 15, 1999, at Aultman Hospital in Canton following a brief illness. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster with the Rev. Scott Walsh officiating. Burial will be at Stanwood Cemetery, Dalton. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. or one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. He married Ada M. Burkholder on June 30, 1950. She survives. Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Kathy Boudreau on Brunswick, Maine and Nancy Curie of League City, Texas; two sons, Kenneth Jones of Toledo and Gary Jones of Birmingham, Mich. and nine grandchildren.
Raymond Miller
MILLERSBURG -- Friends are welcome to visit anytime during the daytime at the home of Raymond E. Miller residence at 5563 County Road 201, Millersburg. Raymond has been missing since Tuesday, May 11, from a boating accident and is presumed dead. The entire Miller family will receive friends Monday through Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the Aden R. Miller residence at 5637 County Road 201, Millersburg. We will keep you informed of any changes as to when a memorial service will be planned. Pray for us.

WOOSTER -- Grace A. Brenneman, 92, formerly of 2538 Columbus Road, died Sunday, May 16, 1999, at Smithville Western Care Center. He was born Sept. 27, 1915 in Holmes County to Len and Alta (Hostetler) Hershberger and married Esther Miller on June 1, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include children and their spouses, Mark and Maxine Hershberger of Dalton, Joel and Susan Hershberger of Noblesville, Ind., Constance Monaghan of New Zealand, and Malinda and Edward Hershberger of Baltic; 10 grandchildren; and brothers, Edward Hershberger of Florida and Loren Hershberger of Louisville.

BUTLER -- Glenn Ivan Ransom, 82, 6280 Hildebrant Road, died Friday afternoon, May 14, 1999, at his home from lung cancer. Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Bellville Snyder Funeral Home, 81 Mill Road, Bellville, with the Rev. John Keith officiating. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery, where graveside military rites will be conducted by Richland County Joint Veterans Council. He was born May 18, 1916 in Loudonville to Clarence R. and Jennie Mae (Sellars) Ransom and married Betty Elaine Simms on July 26, 1941. She survives. He was born Jan. 10, 1919 in Loudonville to Frank and Grace (Weltmer) Boyd and married Wilma Laugherty on Aug. 9, 1941. She survives. EVANSTON, ILL. -- James Reed Finnipot, 45, of Evanston, Ill., died Wednesday, May 12, 1999, at his home. A local memorial service will be held at a later date. Dan Hostetler officiating. Burial will be at Hershberger Cemetery, Salt Creek Township, Holmes County. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton. She was born July 30, 1918, in Plain City to Dan and Sarah (Frey) Hostetler and married Levi H. Zook on March 7, 1940. He died June 1, 1991. Survivors include children, Mary Zook of Dalton, Henry, John and Daniel, all of the home; seven grandchildren; sisters, Fannie Gingerich, Mary Hostetler and Elda Mae Mast, all of Plain City, Susie Hostetler of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Andy (Emma) Troyer of Iowa, and Mrs. Andy (Sarah) Kurtz of Missouri; and a brother, Abe Hostetler of Plain City. SANTA FE, N.M. -- Larry Ray Null, 46, of Santa Fe, N.M., died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Truth or Consequence, N.M. He was born Sept. 21, 1953 in Ohio. He was presently serving with the New Mexico National Guard in Santa Fe. He is survived by his wife, Katherine S. Null; his parents, Raymond and Juanita Null; his children, Thomas Ray Null, Alexander G. Duran, Leo L. Duran, Caroline Rodriguez, Manuel V. Duran, Theresa M. Reid, Jacen E. Burton, Amanda J. Bradley and Brandon K. Bradley; his former wife, Dulcinea C. Garcia; his sisters, Peggy M. Smucker, Sandra K. Huffman and Lois F. Tidwell; his brother, Phillip Null; numerous grandchildren and other relatives. Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 16, at Berardinelli Family Funeral Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, May 17, 1999, at Santa Fe National Cemetery. WADSWORTH -- John D. Morrison, 73, of Wadsworth, died Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital. He was the brother of Glen Morrison of Seville.
