WALNUT CREEK -- Charlene Regula, 78, of Walnut Hills Retirement Home, formerly of Bellville, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1999, at Joel Pomerene Memorial Hospital in Millersburg, after a brief illness.
Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at Snyder Funeral Home in Bellville, where friends may call two hours prior to the services. The Rev. Roger Thompson will officiate. Burial will be at Bellville Cemetery.
Local calling hours will be tonight (Thursday) from 5-8 at Butler-Varns Funeral Home in Sugarcreek.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 48 Church St., Bellville 44813; or to a charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Baltic to Reno E. and Edna (Engle) Getz and married Harry L. Regula. He died in June of 1975.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Samuel (Jane) Pagliari of Oil City, Pa.; two grandchildren; and a sister, Marilyn Von Allman of Baltic.
Robert Herman
TAMPA, Fla. -- Robert John Herman, 83, of Tampa, Fla., formerly of the Wooster area, died Friday, Aug. 6, 1999, in Tampa, Fla.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, Aug. 10, at Palms Memorial Park in Florida. C.E. Prevatt Funeral Home, Temple Terrace, in Sarasota, Fla., handled arrangements.
Surviving are his wife, Edith (Lecky) Herman; sons and their wives, Richard and Judy Herman of Tampa, Fla., and Walter and Marilyn Herman of Fort Myers, Fla.; two grandsons; a sister, Mabel of Dalton; and several nieces and nephews.
Dorothy Hofstetter
DALTON -- Dorothy A. Hofstetter, 77, of Dalton, died Monday evening, Aug. 16, 1999, at Doctors Hospital in Massillon.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church, with the Revs. Terry Shue and Herman Myers officiating. A family graveside service will be held Thursday morning at the church cemetery.
Friends may call tonight (Wednesday) from 6-9 p.m. at Kidron Mennonite Church Fellowship Building.
Arrangements are being handled by Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton.

She was born April 27, 1922, near Kidron to Christian P. and Ida (Lehman) Sommer and married Raymond E. Hofstetter on Dec 27, 1947. He died Dec. 24, 1983.
Surviving are sons and their wives, Ralph and Susan Hofstetter and Ray and Jerelyn Hofstetter, all of Dalton; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and brothers, Ira Sommer of Kidron and Norman Sommer of Apple Creek.
Grace Gerber
WALNUT CREEK -- Grace Arlene Gerber, 81, of Walnut Creek, died Monday evening, Aug. 16, 1999, at Walnut Hills Nursing Home, after a period of declining health.
Services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Martins Creek Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Carl Wiebe officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg.

She was born Jan. 28, 1918 in Walnut Creek Township to Eli J. and Mary Ann (Hershberger) Weaver and married Dean Gerber on March 8, 1941. He survives.
Other survivors include children and their spouses, Mary and Wayne Yoder and Carol and David Christner, all of Berlin, Paul and Gloria Gerber and Wanda and Nick Mullet, all of Millersburg, Donna and Alvin Weaver of Benton, Darryl and Clora Gerber of Las Cruces, N.M., and Janet and Lester Shoup of Dundee; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Simpson of Berlin, Lela Wengerd of Millersburg, Mable Miller of Benton and Joan Showalter of Wilmot; and brothers, John Weaver of Berlin and Vernon Weaver of Millersburg.
Paul Moyers
NAVARRE -- Paul Moyers, 70, of Navarre, formerly of Mount Eaton, died Monday morning, Aug. 16, 1999, at his home after an extended illness.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Spidell Funeral Home in Mount Eaton, with Evangelist Glenn E. Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery in Strasburg.
Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., or one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

He was born Dec. 21, 1928, in Beatrice, W.Va., to Glenn and Anna (Parks) Moyers and married Norma M. Books on June 16, 1951. She survives.

Emma Snyder
BALTIC -- Emma Snyder, 90, formerly of Baltic, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Labelle View Nursing Center in Steubenville, after an extended illness.
Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Baltic Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Arlen Longanecker officiating. Burial will be at Brethren Cemetery in Baltic.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church.
Arrangements are being handled by Smith Funeral Home in Baltic.
Surviving is a brother, Lester Snyder of New Carlisle.
Vernon Troyer
MILLERSBURG -- Vernon B. Troyer, 68, 4575 Township Road 352, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at his residence after a short illness.
Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Messiah Fellowship Church, State Route 557, Millersburg, with Bishop Paul Chupp officiating. Burial will be at Fryburg Beachy Cemetery.
Friends may call Wednesday and Thursday from 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. at the church.

Ola Wincek
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Ola L. Wincek, 84, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Apple Creek, died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at a nursing home in Orlando.
Services were held Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Colonial Carey Hand Funeral Home in Orlando, Fla., where burial took place.
She was born Aug. 15, 1914 in Rosedale, W.Va., to Wade and Thursee (Carroll) Perkins and married Steve E. Wincek Sr. in 1931 in Orrville. He died previously.
Surviving are children, Gordon Wincek of Canton, Roger Wincek of Dunedin, Fla., Stanley Wincek of Tampa, Fla., Steve Wincek Jr., P.O. Box 594, Shreve, Gloria Dean and Sandra Radaskiwicz, both of Orlando, Fla., Patricia Rochester of New Port Richey, Fla., and Linda Louthian of Saint Lucie, Fla.; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Samuel Henkels
STRONGSVILLE -- Services for Samuel David Henkels, 16-month-old son of John A. and Suzanne G. (Deibel) Henkels, will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Strongsville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Mowery officiating. Burial will be at Strongsville Cemetery.
Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 3-5 and 7-9 at Jardine Funeral Home, 14701 Pearl Road, Strongsville.
He died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Children's Hospital in Cincinnati.
Martha Corn
WOOSTER -- Martha Jean Corn, 68, 222 Clark St., died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, at her home from natural causes.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 6 p.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster. There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to an animal charity of the donor's choice.
She was born Oct. 25, 1930 in Marshallville to Wallace and Mary (Ault) Knepp and was married to Dexter Corn for 32 years. He survives.

SEVILLE -- Robert B. Weekley, 85, of Seville, died Monday, Aug. 16, 1999, at Meadowview Care Center in Seville.

Helen Bauman
BARBERTON -- Helen A. Bauman, 81, of Barberton, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Barberton Citizens Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, with Ryan M. Hayden officiating. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Seville.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home, where Eastern Star services will be held at 8:30 p.m.
She was born Nov. 11, 1917, in Farmerstown, to Rudolph and Verena (Farhni) Sommer and married Robert F. Bauman Sr. He died Jan. 12, 1996.
Surviving are sons, Robert F. Bauman Jr. of Barberton and Richard Bauman and his wife, Janet, of Doylestown; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Edith) Blough of Smithville.
Ernest Molner
DOYLESTOWN -- Ernest Molner, 83, of Doylestown, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at his home.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown, with Father David McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Cemetery.

APPLE CREEK -- Bishop Roman D. Troyer, 85, 10925 Harrison Road, died Sunday morning, Aug. 15, 1999, at his home after a period of declining health.
Services will be Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Abe R. Hershberger residence, 11003 Harrison Road, Apple Creek, with Bishop David Wengerd officiating. Burial will be in the Yoder Cemetery, East Union Township, Wayne County.

He was born Dec. 27, 1913, in Holmes County to Dan and Lizzie (Miller) Troyer and married Anna D. Yoder on June 17, 1935. She survives.
Other survivors include children, Mrs. Joe (Mary) Miller of the home, Mrs. Emanuel (Fannie) Hershberger of Dover, Mrs. Eli M. (Verna) Yoder of Millersburg, Abe R. Troyer and his wife, Verba, and Daniel R. "Sonny" Troyer and his wife, Elaine, all of Apple Creek; 17 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
'Frank' Carafelli
SHREVE -- Lory J. "Frank" Carafelli, 78, 771 N. Market St., died Saturday evening, Aug. 14, 1999, at his residence after a short illness.
Private family services will be held. Graveside services will be Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary Cemetery in Wooster, where military rites will be conducted by Wooster American Legion Post 68.
There will be no calling hours. Custer Funeral Home, Wooster, is handling arrangements.
He was born Nov. 8, 1921 in Wooster to Francis and Dora (Sicchio) Carafelli and married Jenny Lane. She died previously.
Surviving are brothers and their wives, Peter J. and Alberta M. Carafelli of Dalton and Robert J. and Enid N. Carafelli of Wooster; a sister, Mildred M. Carafelli of Millersburg; and nieces and nephews.
Marjorie Emerling
WOOSTER -- Marjorie M. Emerling, 85, formerly of 481 N. Apple Creek Road, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 1999, at Brenn-Field Nursing Center in Orrville.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Custer Funeral Home in Wooster, with the Rev. Nathan Ward officiating. Burial will be at Smithville Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 29, 1913 in Smithville to Frank and Chloe (Kauffman) Shisler and married Roy V. Emerling in 1934 in West Virginia. He died July 7, 1998.
Surviving are children, Charles Roy Emerling and his wife, Sharon, of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs. Larry (Faye) Lingle of Smithville, Dorothy Kennedy of Defiance, Mrs. Virgil (Julia) Brubaker and Mrs. Charlie (Betty) Booth, both of Apple Creek and Mrs. Michael (Ruth) Shantz of Wakarusa, Ind.; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and several step-great-grandchildren.
